This former Benny's site on Branch Avenue has been converted into a nice modern shopping area called Dryden Mill. One of the most successful redevelopments of former Benny's locales....this is one of the spaces that make up Dryden Mill. The Benny's building has been redeveloped to a nice modern 25,000 square feet shopping area. Dryden Mill, a historic building right next door which has 64,763 square feet will also be redeveloped along with a 7,950 square feet three-story office building. This shopping and business area will eventually accommodate over 98,000 square feet of retail and office space. Right now you can find a Jersey Mike's, Hunts Photo and Video, Wayback Burger, Chipotle and a Lifespan Urgent medical center. Easy to get to from North Main, Branch Ave or the highway.

Midland Commons (formerly Midland Mall from 1965-1985 and Rhode Island Mall from 1985-2011) is an…read moreoutdoor power center in Warwick. It previously existed as a two-story, enclosed shopping mall. The property opened as the Midland Mall in October 1967; for several years, it co-existed with the nearby Warwick Mall that opened in 1970. The mall was renamed the Rhode Island Mall in March 1985, and experienced rapid decline as tenants relocated to the Warwick Mall in the 1990s. It was considered a dead mall by the 2000s, and the interior of the mall was closed permanently in April 2011. The property was sold in 2012 and has been under redevelopment into its current configuration as a power center since 2016. The mall was originally anchored by Sears and Shepards. The latter eventually became G. Fox, and later Filene's, before being divided into Kohl's and Walmart. The former was converted into At Home and Raymour & Flanigan. The interior of the mall was turned into Burlington, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Planet Fitness. I usually go to this mall for the Walmart, the At Home store or the BJ's Market. I have been to Kohl's and Dick's as well. It is a fairly busy mall with several fast food and sit down restaurants in the periphery of the main retail area.

It occupies a large section of the…read morenortheast corner of Namquid Drive and Warwick Avenue...in the past few years, the center has spread out so now it also covers part of the southeast corner of the aforementioned intersection. Many local and regional businesses can be found here, among them Newport Creamery, Marty's Liquors, Happy Garden Chinese restaurant, Le Favorite Bakery, Mirabella's Italian restaurant, Advanced Auto Parts and a Dollar General. I have been here many times, especially to the Dollar General and the Auto parts store. Plenty of parking.

This is a large shopping center with lots of different businesses to choose from....Market Basket…read moregrocery store, Savers discount store, Best Buy, Home Depot, Olive Garden restaurant, Frank Pepe Pizzeria, Smokey Bones BBQ restaurant, Starbucks and much more... This shopping area is large...85 acres, 350,000 sf. So, many of the stores are far apart from each other. I frequent this shopping center primarily for the Market Basket and the Home Depot. Around this center there are dozens of other businesses making the area, an easy one-stop-shop for many.

I'm glad it has some places that are desirable, but should be updated. Also, no grocery store here, which is disappointing. In the plaza there is : Chuck E Cheese, Town Fair Tire, Papa Gino's, Harbor Freight (the BEST place to get stuff here!), Staples, Burlington Coat Factory, Movie Stop, TJ Maxx, Petco, Ruby Tuesday, BJ's, and a few other small shops. Fine plaza, yet in need of cleaning, plus aren't their a million better plazas throughout this strip of Route 1? 3 stars.

The Warwick Mall is hosting a 2026 Winter Farmers Market on Sunday's February - May 3rd. The…read morevendors we encountered include two bakers (breads, pastry, foccia, etc) three sweets vendors (cookies, vegan cupcakes and kraffles) two local farms selling meat and eggs, a book and associated items seller, jewelry, soy candles, loose teas, spices, t-shirts, sweatshirts, personalized photo magnets, honey and more. Located in an unoccupied storefront there is plenty of space and it was almost full of vendors. The market was well attended during our visit around 11:30 with lines cueing up at some of the vendor tables. I did not see any produce vendors, and I suppose there is not much fresh veg growing in RI in February. Many of the vendors have socials accounts, websites and business cards. Definitely stop by and see if there is anything of interest. We found several vendors that would make good resources for gift giving in the future. The mall is doing well with most storefronts occupied. Rocky Point chowder house is to be opened in the food court. I look forward to that. Plenty of parking. Public restrooms near the food court and a nursing lounge near the middle of the mall.

There's a large number of stores that can be found in here, though there are more local businesses…read morethan there used to be. The mall itself has a number of seating areas along the concourse as well as a food court that features a carousel and once featured botanical carousel horses. The anchors are your average mall anchors (JC-Penny, Macy's, Old Navy, Jordan's Furniture, Target, and Golf Galaxy), but it's still a good mall nonetheless!

This open strip mall on Bald Hill road has some national chain stores that are widely visited. There's plenty of parking and the stores are laid out very scattered, so for some, the best thing is to drive from one store to the other. This center is also near many other businesses in Warwick so that creates a nice business nucleus for shopping within a mile or two radius.
