I hired this place to tint my husband's Audi A4 for Christmas. It was a removal and re-tint with a darker tint. The car is a 2014, was bought brand new, then spent almost its whole life sitting in the beating down sun at home and at work. As a result, his old tint was faded, bubbly, and just looked like crap! For starters, I sent numerous messages out on Yelp at the same time. Not only was this place one of the first ones who responded, but they were able to accommodate my last minute scheduling (I called the week of Christmas haha - wife of the year!). I received a clear quote up front, and even told them to not talk to my husband about pricing or accept any cards from him at all and they stuck to that haha. They called every step of the way, including to tell us that they'd have to hand-scrape the old rear tint off, which would possibly result in the rear defroster becoming damaged (common in this situation), and we were given the option of proceeding or stopping. They even called a window guy for pricing on replacing the whole back window vs. having to pay extra for it to be hand-scraped and tinted again! Since it's a luxury car, the replacement was going to be more expensive, but how nice of them was that to call and try to find us the cheapest solution?! It was going to take a full day (drop off one night, pickup a full evening later), but then they ended up finishing faster than expected. The car looks amazing! I'm disappointed with the service I received. I took my Tesla Model Y in for tinting, and since the rear windows already had tint, I asked for the front windows to be tinted to match. The shop recommended 70 tint for the back and 30 for the front two windows to keep the heat out and match the rear windows. However, after the work was done, the difference between the front and rear tint was very noticeable and I hate it. ProTint offered to remove and replace the front tint with a 15 tint for an additional $180, but I've already spent a lot of money and don't want to spend more. I hope that in the future, ProTint can provide better guidance to its customers based on their expertise. read more

I've taken 4 cars here and gotten 4 different tints between all 4 cars. All 4 times, they were super quick and did a great job installing the tints. If there were any issues of bubbles or dust being trapped under, they would redo it and make it right for you. They also carry most of the modern high quality tints from the 3M lineup to Xpel XR Plus and some others. Usually places that have amazing service make up for it with a higher price. I got a few quotes from places around the area and to be honest, ProTint had some of the lowest prices. This is the place I always recommend to all my friends when they ask about tints. I wanted wireless and wired Apple CarPlay for my Corolla and new speakers so I messaged a few places. I got a response from Jeff, the owner, very quickly and he was the only one who would give me a straight answer as to how much it would roughly cost, everyone else wouldn't give estimates over the phone. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and gave me his personal number to reach out with any questions I had, even before I confirmed I wanted to work with him. I had so many questions and he answered all of them, and ones he couldn't he would research then get back to me. We talked for weeks going back and forth on the best options and pricing and availability, all while never having to go into the store. Then as we finalized plans, I was able to meet him and the team at the shop. They go the installation done fast, I was able to pick it up the same day I dropped it off. There was an issue with the data/charging connector that was the manufacturers fault, so they did their best to fix it. Sadly it was completely on the manufacturer so we just went with a different option that worked just fine. I most definitely would recommend tinting your Windows here. Not only are the staff knowledgeable, they are friendly, quick, honest, and patient. The place is clean and has a spot for you to wait if you're willing, if not there's plenty of places to eat around 626! I came from OC so I didn't mind exploring the area for some food. They did a great job with the tint! They do warn you about the little water bubbles, but those disappear within a few days to a week. Very easy instructions for aftercare, but also very easy to forget Lol. Don't be like me and roll down your windows after getting your car lol! Sometimes I even forget to turn on the AC because of how cool it would feel after driving for a bit. It does maintain cold temperature a lot more, so if you sleep in the car, use a blanket. I had two different tints, ceramic and 3M crystalline, because Honda Civic hatchbacks have a more unique back window, they highly recommended ceramic tint. It can damage the border around the window because of how it's shaped, so FYI! Everything else (my 4-doors and the front window are all 3M crystalline tint). No bubbles or problems! It is a bit pricey compared to your average tint, but much more affordable than OC prices! Highly recommend if you want to make your car cool (literally) read more

10/28/2023 - Jeff reached out by direct message and told me to come in to have it checked again. I came in on Sat and his team went ahead to check my scratch/bubble on my front driver and rear pocket window. They agreed on the replacement tint and went ahead with it. The process took about 1 hour before they told me it was finished. The scratch and majority of the bubble were gone after the replacement tints. 11/11/2023 - After the tint curing process, I notice that my replacement tint on my front driver side was a different shade with the passenger side. The replacement tint was more on the blue side while the passenger side was black. I contacted Jeff & his team again on the issue and they were very understanding on the issue. They told me that they would replace the passenger side window for me. Again, the process was fairly quick which took about an hour. Overall, I did have to go in 4 times but Jeff was very understanding about my issue and was willing to resolve them. read more

Protint has been great. Back in 2005 we got our Ford truck tinted here and now 19 years later the windows still look great. So when we decided to get our 3 other cars tinted we called here to ask for a quote. They gave us the best and most detailed quote in the SGV. SHORT VERSION: Got my rear driver's side window tinted. Someone broke the window, so I only had to replace the one window Great customer service. Very nice and clean waiting area, with large comfy seats, and A/C. STORY VERSION: I originally had my whole car tinted at California Tint. I tried to go back there for the one window, after work. (I try to fill my errands on the same day I work in office for convenience.) California Tint turned me away, telling me to come back on another day, dropping off my car at 9am, as their day fills up, and would be unable to fulfill any drive up orders. I had dinner plans in the area and didn't want to waste the day. I called Pro Tint, to see if they would be able to work on my car today. I was told that they can squeeze me in, since it is just one window. I arrived at Pro Tint, and they have a nice roomy lot for parking. My car was evaluated and I was assured they can get this done today. Clerk said they will try to match the color as best as they can, but there is some fading of the current tint on my car. (Original tint was done in Sept 2019). They have a nice clean waiting area. The A/C was working well, which was nice, considering it was 89 degrees outside, according to my car. COVID-19 Edition Review When I got a new car in December 2020, I knew that I wanted to get my windows tinted so I sent out a bunch of quotes to other places on Yelp and Jeff responded in a timely manner. He gave me the best quote out of other places for the 3M tints, which I wanted to get because I heard that was the best kind. Due to various things at that time, my appointment time was pushed back and I didn't get to tint my car until like 2 weeks into January. I got the Solar Guard one and patiently described each kind they had and let me take my time deciding which % I wanted. The girl who worked there was super nice and easy to talk to when helping me decide which tints was best for my car and %. She originally told me it was going to take about 2.5 hours - 3 hours and I could wait in the waiting room there but it was done within like 1.5-2 hours! The only thing that kinda bothered me was that there were water splatters everywhere on the side of my car and front windshield but I can easily cleaned off so don't fret if you have the same problem! I absolutely love the end results of my tints and would 100% suggest going here. Good price for the quality of work you get. read more
