Used yelp to find a car wash nearby and this was the closest and had decent reviews. Every other place I was able to find was for detailing. This was perfect. I was expecting higher prices as the images from yelp were a little old, but they were the same prices as a few years ago which I appreciated. Their highest price is $20 which includes a foam bath, presoak, lava bath, undercarriage blast, conditioner, ceramic protector, special shield, water rinse and blow dry. I will say it got my car about 95% of the way there. There were still some minimal bird poop spots but a significant difference to what I had. The place is easy to operate, you pull up, pay the machine, pull into the car wash and park and that's it. The machine does the rest. The car isn't fully dried once you leave but that's okay. If you have kids, they'll like the different color bubbles during the wash.

When I got there, it was all new to me since it was my first time through a car wash. The worker was super friendly and explained everything. Once I got there the system automatically pulled up my info from the license plate and the worker helped me go through. Once I got to the beginning there was a worker that helped me center and pointed to the instructions for how to go through. It was a cool 2 minutes. Only thing for me was that the drivers side had a portion of dirt that was still left on and the back side of my car was drill super dirty. Once I got home I used a waterless car wash spray to wipe it down and clean it. I guess it's better to just have to do the back than the entire car. I was lucky and got the last stall to vacuum. The vacuum was strong and did the job of cleaning the interior of my car. Overall, not bad for $20. I think it would work well if my car wasn't so dirty and you go and wash it weekly. Then the $50/month unlimited pass would be worth it.

I like the Kapolei location as there are more vacuum/wipe stations available here due to being a bigger location. I'm glad that I have Waipio location which is closer to where I live. The cost for service is $20.94. Card payment only, do not think they accept cash but ask. They have membership option as well. I prefer to wash my car at least once a month if can.

Some places stop being businesses and quietly become part of a city. McKinley Car Wash is one of…read morethose places. I've been coming here on and off for almost thirty years. Every trip back to Hawaii somehow includes a stop here, usually in one of my parents' cars, waiting in line with everyone else while the smell of soap mixes with hot asphalt and exhaust. It's oddly nostalgic. The system works, but it definitely assumes you've been here before. When you pull up, the menu isn't really explained. You're asked a few quick questions about tires, vacuuming or upgrades and before you know it you're being waved forward. If you're trying to understand the difference between services or whether a detail is worth it, don't expect much guidance. The actual wash was good, especially for the price. Coming from Los Angeles, where a proper wash and detail can easily cost well over $100, it's hard to complain. Just don't expect perfection. The interior looked much better, but there was still sand hiding under the kids' car seats and a few corners that were easy to miss. If you have children, prepare yourself for the awkward dance of unloading everyone while deciding whether to let someone else drive your car through the wash. One thing I would recommend. Tip the crew. They work incredibly hard in the Hawaii heat, moving nonstop from one car to the next. No, it isn't a concours level detail. But for a long standing neighborhood institution that gets you in, gets you out and leaves your car noticeably cleaner without emptying your wallet, it's still easy to understand why locals keep coming back.

They were the number one company with 5 star reviews in the area, so I had to go with them. I gave them a call and, luckily, they had openings toward the end of the week. I didn't even realize that they were a mobile detail service until Elisiah explained it to me over the phone. Even better! Friday rolled around and the weather looked like it might pour. Thankfully, Elisiah came prepared with a tent in case there was a downpour. Elisiah and his buddy showed up promptly at 9am and worked their tails off all day, all while I sat in the comfort of my home. After a few hours, they called me out to check out their work. They did such an amazing job! They made it look brand new! I was extremely pleased with their meticulous attention to detail. In fact, their work caught the eye of my neighbor across the street and he decided to book a session with them too! What surprised me the most was how young they were. Both of them were just out of high school. I had no idea. They both were extremely professional and respectful. Pure gentlemen. I will definitely be recommending their company to all of my family and friends. I wish their company all the success in the world!

My car was free of water spots that usually remain unless I get out and dry the back but there wasn't any residual water drops left.
