I had texted him about the hassle I went thru after my minivan's alternator went out in July 2026, 15 months they had replaced it. Somehow that text did not go thru to his phone. The alternator had gone out when I was on the road, 4 hours away from home. Once they saw my review (Sep 2026), they reached out within a few hours. This showed me that this company cares about its reputation and had high standard of customer service. We talked and Thomas told me he would refund me the cost of the alternator. I received the money but it was more than just the money that left a great impression upon me. It was the honesty, integrity and the willingness to listen to my less-than-great initial experience. Anyhow, I think of them as a solid business that puts its customers first. I have updated them to 5 stars. They have earned it!

I recommend Inspectiver without reservation!! Don't buy a used car without a pre-purchase…read moreinspection. I used Inspectiver for a pre-purchase inspection on a used 2018 Equinox, and I'm glad I did. The report was thorough. It covered the exterior, interior, mechanical systems, and tires point by point, with comments and photos. The inspection found problems I would have missed on my own. The check engine light came on during the inspection, and the OBD scan showed trouble codes and smog monitors that weren't ready, which suggested the codes had recently been cleared. The inspector also found that three of the tires were original 2017 tires, worn and cracked, and unsafe to drive on, so the road test couldn't be done. The report also flagged brake pads that will need replacing soon, a TPMS warning, and several cosmetic issues. The summary was clear and to the point: the car wouldn't pass smog as-is and had significant issues. That gave me what I needed to walk away. For the cost of an inspection, it probably saved me thousands in repairs and a lot of frustration. I'll use Inspectiver again and highly recommend them to anyone buying a used car.

After i booked online, the inspector, Dabo contacted me right away to confirm the details, and he arrived at the dealership on time. Even though the vehicle wasn't there (in a warehouse), he waited for them to bring the vehicle to the dealership. Dabo inspected the vehicle thoroughly, and told me of all the various issues he found on the vehicle, and i'm really glad i did not buy it cause it would have been a headache and cost thousands of dollars to repair all the issues the dealership was hiding on the vehicle. I was satisfied with the report (along with pictures) that were provided promptly after the inspection was completed. Because i did not buy the vehicle, i wanted to have another inspection on another vehicle that very same day, and i'm very glad Dabo was able to accomodate my request. Dabo again inspected the vehicle, told me about the issues on the vehicle, and again he saved me a headache because i was able to make a deal with the dealership to fix those issues that he found on the vehicle before i purchased it. He also provided the inspection report promptly. All in all, my experience with inspectiver was very positive. Dabo was very friendly, professional, and his experience in talking about issues that he found on the vehicle was very helpful for my purchasing decisions. In addition, I feel like the price inspectiver charges for doing a pre-purchase inspection is quite reasonable. If i had to buy another vehicle, i would use inspectiver again.

Although I did not expect to find anything of concern, it was comforting to know a qualified 3rd party would thoroughly inspect the vehicle top to bottom before I made such a substantial investment. Rob responded swiftly and made sure to setup the appointment with the dealer himself. His subsequent correspondence was thorough and supplemented with photos. The "car-biz" is littered with sketchy folks and many situations where good sellers simply don't even know themselves there are underlying problems. The service CA Car Inspections provides is invaluable regardless of the age or condition of the vehicle being considered. Do yourself a favor and call Rob now rather than wish you had later. Having this report to rely upon should you decide to sell the vehicle later will make you a more informed seller, too.

His version of an under the car inspection was sticking his cell phone under the edges of the car and taking a photo. He certainly didn't crawl under and take a look. He made more of an effort to connect with the seller, than me, the buyer and person who hired him. He completed the inspection in 20 minutes and it certainly wasn't worth $200. It was anything but thorough. He said he was mostly inspecting cosmetics and basic function, which I said I could do. I asked him to share with me what he was inspecting as he went along, and he declined to do that. Honestly, he seemed to be in a hurry. Lastly, although I was told I would be getting all the photos the inspector took, absolutely none none of them are in the report. I do not recommend him and would never use him again!

I placed an order on their website for a pre-purchase inspection and they were able to come out to meet the seller of the vehicle the next day. After the inspection, the inspector gave me a call with his findings and overall impression of the vehicle . The day after the inspection, a written report and a numerous inspection photos were available on the order page of their website. The written report specifically covered the following areas: Road Test, Engine & Mechanical, Suspension & Undercarriage, Tires & Brakes, Exterior & Body Condition. The level of detail in the report and the number of photos provided was satisfactory. Overall, it was a good overall experience and I'm happy with the service provided and with the vehicle I purchased. Why did I not give a full five stars? First, I believe a whining transmission noise they noted in their report was misdiagnosed. It seems to have been caused by the car's AC compressor that progressively whined louder before eventually failing during the fifth drive after purchase. Second, the report indicated that the transmission was leak free but I've found the slightest pooling of transmission fluid in my garage since the first day I purchased the car. Lastly, minor details seemed to be missed like missing roof weather strips/mouldings, a detached fog lamp, and sanding/repair work done on the rear bumper and rear fenders. If they had the means to diagnose the whining noise further and offered that as an add-on package, I probably would have availed and subsequently provided a higher rating.

However, if I decided to change the lights myself he charges a fee of $40 but if I fix the problem there, no extra fee was added. The cost of the light bulb was $25 for a light bulb that cost under $5 at AutoZone. This was back in January I can see them charging a lot more now.
