I love going to Prost. Love their German beers. But the owner need to hire new bartenders bcuz one of the bartender he is very rude and racist. I go there all the time. But last time i was there i ordered beer, and tht bartender recognize me so he told the other bartender not to give me my order and he came straight to me and kicked me out of Prost bcuz last time i went there with my friends he said we were talking so loud in the bar and we didn't tip him well. Yes we did not tip him well bcuz he was rude. Their music already loud enough and other ppl talking loud as well but why only on our table? Yes i knw, bcuz WE ARE THE ONLY ASIAN ppl sitting there. I was going to meet a friend at Prost after work and got there before him. Sat down at the bar, ordered a beer, and proceeded to wait. I was wrapping up my first beer and was told that I was done for the evening. I asked could I get another beer and was told, "no, I told you, you are done" with zero explanation. I will not ever go back, maybe that was the point, and will divert my dollars to other establishments. I recommend you too also avoid this place due to the surly staff and overpriced beer with better craft beer down the street brewed right here in Portland by local beer makers. Makes me think to buy local more often to support better establishments. read more

Prost opened 30 mins earlier before the 11 am games, which was awesome! Their staff was very friendly!! It's quite small inside so if you're coming to watch a World Cup game, 30 mins easily isn't enough, come earlier! I wasn't able to grab a seat at their bar but luckily next door was also showing the Germany game and went there. They kept the bathrooms clean despite the big crowds and I can't wait to come back and actually enjoy seating at their cozy bar! read more

Prost is open for indoor and outdoor dining and they maintain strict health protocols. They maintain a 25% capacity inside and you would have to line up outside based on capacity constraints. We went there on a Saturday night and waited in line for less than 10 minutes. I ordered their classic Munich lager and a side of pretzels. The lager was excellent and the pretzel with the side of mustard was awesome. I would definitely visit again soon. Note that the nearby food trucks close early (8ish pm) so if get here early if you are planning to stop by the food trucks also. read more

Went to Prost this past weekend because everywhere else was closed in classic Portland fashion. Sat outside with friends and shortly later noticed that porn was playing on one of the tvs back there. All we did was talk *amongst ourselves* about how it was weird they were playing that but kind of laughed it off. Two guys sitting next to us, who were clearly bartenders at Prost taking a beer break, interject in our conversation, after we had already moved on, to say "oh please it's not a big deal, they're not even showing penetration. they show shit like this in cinemax all the time" so I said to him "great, doesn't mean we want to watch it at a bar and doesn't mean you need to be involved in our conversation" he then said "I told (I forget the guys name) to not turn it on but he wanted to." Really off vibes from this place from the second we walked in. The active bartenders were slamming menus on the ground and pointed to a pile of broken glass behind the bar saying they had been "letting off some steam" and honestly one of the bartenders seems c*ked up out of his mind. Silicon Valley (of California) attracts people from all parts of the globe, including Germany, so there is a good amount of German establishments where I live. I've been to enough of these German establishments to know that what we experienced here was pretty mediocre. Firstly, our beers hadn't been completely filled. You would think that at a German pub, the glasses would be nearly overflowing! They are in Silicon Valley, so step up your game, Portland! Other than that, the beer was good. Definitely nothing assaulting. What was assaulting was the meat and cheese board. Okay, I didn't expect a German board to be as bougie as a Spanish or Italian board, but dang, it sure does look like they just set out grocery store-bought meats and cheeses. The meat seems to be cold cut, and the cheese also seemed to be for sandwiches. The various types of mustard was a nice touch, but unconvincing. As for the service, it was surprisingly slow and lackluster. The place was packed on a Monday night, and I wondered if people only come here because they can order liters of beer. read more

My boyfriend loves German beer, so we went here for him so he could have a proper Pilsner! We had a pint, or two, and I also got a cheese and meat board to nibble on. I got something similar to a Porter but honestly I liked the Pilsner beer better. Friendly service, and they have a place to sit outside, free Wi-Fi, and a bathroom. I have a feeling we'll be back. I'm happy it's in a food cart too for I'm not a huge German fare fan. If you like good German beer though, this is your place! read more

Have been craving good German lagers ever since going to the real Oktoberfest in Munich. After doing a fair bit of research, I came across Prost and decided I had to stop in. I'm so glad I did. They have a great selection of German beers on tap, includes a helles lager that is SO good. Prices were reasonable. I liked how they had doors open for fresh air and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. I'll have to come back again when they have new beers on tap. read more

A very lively and loud pub with German beers and food. It's a pretty cool place, and I believe it one of the only places (if not the only) place in Portland you can order a boot of beer. I went with some friends specifically for the boot and it ended up being a blast. The place is pretty dimly lit with a rustic, dark wood and dark metal vibe. It definitely suits the mood, and they have a downright beautiful outdoor area that I wish we could have taken advantage of, but the rainy weather interfered. They have a decent list of beers ranging from pale to dark, and you can order each as .3L, .5L and most as 1L. In regards to the boot, we were told it needs to be at least three people per boot so keep that in mind if you're interested. We also ordered a large meat and cheese platter which featured some dark bread, two German meats, two cheeses, two mustards, radishes, pickles, and some type of cheese spread. It was a great complement to the beers. Overall the place was a lot of fun, but it was very loud which made it hard to talk with friends. I'd suggest this place for drinking but not really for catching up or chatting. Also, kids are allowed in until 8pm, so if that's not for you, be sure to come after that time. read more

Mississpippi is such a great street to grab drinks on but it's super obvious that Prost is a popular favorite! Whether you start of end your night here you will have a nice time. Good seats inside but they also have large picnic tables in the back with space heaters so as the drinks warm you up you can also feel toasty. Really enjoyed the kolsch and stuck with only drinks this time but they also serve food like brats and pretzels for you to munch on. If you're able to grab a seat at the bar they also have a couple of TVs playing live sports. I was ecstatic that they were serving gluhwein (warm spiced wine during the holiday season). I don't drink so can't really say there, however attended a continuing education event and that was hosted here and the space worked well and wasn't drowned out by patrons in the other room. The food truck they had outside was decent too.
