I've been using Prosperity Cleaners since moving to the area about three years ago. I've always thought they were on the expensive side, especially at roughly $5 to $7 or more per shirt, but the work got done and, until now, the pricing was really my only complaint. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. I dropped off 15 shirts and was given a receipt showing a total of $79. When I returned to pick them up, I was charged $108. That is almost a $30 increase from the price on the receipt I was given. I politely questioned the difference and showed them my $79 receipt. I was told that some of my shirts had to be hand pressed because of the material, which resulted in additional charges. My issue is simple. They had the shirts in front of them when I dropped them off and gave me a receipt for $79. If certain shirts required special handling that would increase the price by nearly $30, I should have been told before the work was performed. What bothered me even more was the explanation that this is why they do not charge until pickup, because the price can change. Really? I can understand a small adjustment under unusual circumstances, but going from $79 to $108 is roughly a 37% increase from the price I was originally given, without notifying me or getting my approval. What also concerns me now is that I rarely bring my original receipt when I pick up my clothes. Normally, they simply look up my order using my phone number and I pay whatever amount comes up. This time I happened to have the receipt with me, which is the only reason I noticed the discrepancy. I cannot say whether this has happened on previous orders, but after this experience, I certainly wonder. My advice to other customers is simple: keep your receipt and compare the quoted price to what you are actually charged at pickup. For three years, I accepted paying their higher prices because they provided a service I was generally satisfied with. But I cannot accept being quoted one amount, having the work performed, and then being told at pickup that I owe substantially more. The cleaning itself was fine. This review is about the pricing practice and how the situation was handled. After three years as a customer, they have lost my business. If I could give zero stars based on this experience, I would. read more

Friendly staff, excellent tailoring, convenient location and on time delivery of service.. Would recommend

Ridiculous price for two laundered shirts. The lady charged me $14.40 for 2 shirts. I paid this inflated price as I needed the shirts before I packed for a flight. read more

The service and curtesy goes beyond words. I took two uniforms and they didn't hesitate to provide a complete service at the earliest. Definitely will recommend to everyone!!! Will visit again!!! read more

When I noticed the discount dry cleaner was ruining my somewhat expensive suits by using too much heat and causing the fabric to be shiny afterward, I decided to try someone new. The clothes I get back from here are a world different from what I used to get. The fabrics actually feel "clean", rather than doused in chemicals and roasted under a press. Yes, my dry cleaning bill went up compared to the discount place, but I am definitely getting a better service in return, and I'm taking better care of some expensive items. read more

I have used Prosperity Cleaners for more than ten years. They take excellent care of all of my clothes, particularly my delicate ball gowns and expensive coats. I even get my Burberry coat and scarves cleaned there. Prosperity also does an amazing job at alterations to customize clothes. Additionally, they have extended the life of several of my husband's suits. I am a customer for life and I adore the new renovations. I highly recommend Prosperity Cleaners! read more

We've been customers for the past few years after tiring of the low quality result from discount dry cleaners. We also leverage their wash and fold laundry service and could not be happier. If you're tired and/or disappointed with the discount products, try PC and you will be pleasantly surprised - great people, quality and local business we are happy to support! read more

Love, love, love these people. Best cleaner I've ever been to. Wendy is awesome. If you need a rush, they can do it...even it ls an inconvenience to them. We spend a lot of money on our clothes and I want them to look nice without fading, shrinking or broken buttons. I've used Prosperity Cleaners for more than a decade and when Wendy took over the business, I wondered if the quality and service would remain the same. It's been outstanding! She brings a great energy and personality to the counter and the quality of dry cleaning has never disappointed me. My husband and I look forward to seeing her and to picking up our fresh clothes. She makes us feel like valued customers and you can tell that she really cares about her customers and their garments. She's a breath of fresh air in a world of mediocre service! I highly recommend Prosperity Cleaners. read more

Mrs. Kim altered a bridesmaid dress for me and did a wonderful job! Excellent work!

Absolutely the best in the Leesburg area. I have been a very satisfied customer for nearly twenty years and they have only gotten better since Wendy began running the shop. Her smile brightens the gloomiest day and no problem is beyond her expertise. Try them and see. read more

Wendy and crew are the best. We've used them for years, but just went through a wedding with lots of alterations and last minute pressings of gowns, suits, dresses, etc. Occurred to me that all the "special treatment" I was getting is the same great service and results Prosperity brings to the table every single day. You can trust these folks with anything. read more

I highly recommend Wendy & her team for wedding dress alterations. My wedding dress was a size 12 and they were able to resize it to a size 4. You could not notice it was altered and they did an amazing job. My dress has many sequins and beads on it with a lot of detail. They handled it with great care and I could not be happier with the final product :) read more

I was about to get rid of a few of my favorite pieces of clothing because they had stains that I couldn't get out. I ended up bringing them here first, not getting my hopes up. Three days later and my clothing looked new again. I'm so glad I didn't get rid of them! read more
