They are closed. Or moved locations and have not updated their location. Very disappointing.

Fantastic food and cute ambiance. A pleasant intimate dining experience. I wish I could eat there every day!

Ok, first off this is the cutest little set-up. Tons of parking, some in front and lots in the…read moreback. I suggest parking in the back. It's a walk up window spot with the menu and a bell, when you're ready to order, ring the bell. The service is friendly and succinct. Non invasive and just helpful without asking when needed. The seating area is a mix between covered and uncovered, with a small speaker playing contemporary tunes at a respectable level. There are string lights above, and I can only imagine how beautiful this all looks at night. I'd read a LOT about their fish sandwich. That it is a good size helping. That it has a great light fresh vinegar sauce with thinly sliced carrots and other crunchy veg. The fish tasted fresh fried. And I have to say, this is the Best fish sandwich I have ever tasted. I only am upset I hadn't come much sooner. I will have to return, probably on a monthly basis for that fish sandwich. There are enough pictures out there of the sandwich. But I also had the Thai basil lemonade and it was a nice pairing. Not a waste of time, effort or dough. Just go.

We bring friends here, and one friend in particular is so obsessed that he was dreaming of their food when he was on a film shoot out of state, and could not wait to get back. You order at the window, and can take it away or eat outside. The place feels like a party when the weather is good. I don't think it is possible to order badly: the owners keep the menu tight, and everything is SO FRESH. When they run out, that's it. (The curried carrot soup will go fast, I've found.) My husband usually gets the vietnamese fried fish sandwich which is delectable with lots of flavor and texture. We rarely eat meat, but I have made an exception to try the Moroccan lamb burger which was worth it. I usually spring for the upgrade to get crispy smashed potatoes instead of chips. And it's worth noting that the drinks are also well above average: I've enjoyed the indulgence of a Bravassi hard Italian soda with my meal on a lazy afternoon, after shopping at the Second Life thrift store. Their drinks are very good, and they serve them up straightaway to savor while you wait for your order to come up. I have not yet ordered a salad but they have an array of excellent / choices, and I know they will not disappoint. I also want to note that although there is not waiter service (which makes it an ideal spot to meet friends) the staff is friendly, and well above average. It's such a great vibe, and a real bonus of living in the area. They also serve breakfast, and I feel confident in their level of quality in recommending them as a stop for anyone.

Thanks to the brilliant chef Viv Lee, she has introduced me (and my mom) to our favorite pastry, the almond & strawberry galette (PLEASE bring that back one day!) I love love love the pastries, such as the seasonal cream cheese danish, black sesame blondie and the purple sweet potato roll. But every now and then, a savory pastry catches my eye, like the confit tomato & pesto bun. They also have a brunch/lunch menu with fun items like the braised beef sandwich or the egg melt. I love that they have comfortable indoor seating AND dog friendly! Definitely a gem in Avondale Estates!

The KFC sandwich was pretty terrible which is surprising given all the good reviews. The gochujang was WAY too sweet, it felt like we were eating candy on a sandwich. The chicken was so fatty that most of it was inedible. The burrito was fine this time but barely had any peppers or onions. The potatoes were crispy but it was mostly just crispy skin and no actual potatoes. Maybe it was a one off day but based on the food, it's hard to say if we'll go back.
