It failed and filled pool continuously for 2 weeks. The city, Port Orange FL, uses smart water meters. I have a printout from the water department showing the water was turned on the same hour they hooked it up and turned off the same hour of their next routine service. The pool overflowed into yard and killed the grass in one corner. It also turned green for obvious reasons. Pinch a penny failure cost us $1300 in water use. It couldn't be more obvious they failed. The kid that cleans the pool aggred. The service tech agreed. The manager agreed. But the owner said he "couldn't be certain". J**k should stand behind his products.

He tested the water after Pinch a Penny left and stated the water quality was off but to give a few hours to circulate and it might get better. My wife took a sample to our servicing store that afternoon and had it tested without them having any knowledge of the prior results that morning. The tech said there was no chlorine in the water and the PH was through the roof. He gave her a print out and proceeded to tell her how to fix it. She explained that his company services our pool and would like to speak to a manager. Ron the service manager told her this was a free week becaus there was 5 weeks this month and he wasn't going to do anything about it until the following Friday. We are on a monthly service based on a 52 week calendar year so not sure of that mentality. I own and operate a large service plumbing company. If I found out ANY of my employees treated one of my customers this way the service tech would be fired for not doing his job, the service manager would be fired for not making it right, and the store manager for allowing this behavior to exist. I called and spoke with Ron in attempts to rectify the problem after my wife got home and told me what happened at the store, he stated the free week thing and was not coming back until the following Friday and if I didn't like it "We could just part company" I know this business is independently owned I welcome the owner to make this right just knowing we will never do business with company again. In our small little town of Ponce news travels fast, bad news faster.

We noticed calcium deposits forming and brought it to their attention...Blue Ribbon Pools was unresponsive. Labor Day 2021 we were unable to use our pool as it was green...the company was again unresponsive. Drove to their Port Orange to speak to or rather shame Maurice regarding the ongoing issues and lack if response. He called my husband (A fellow FL State Contractor) to rectify and as I requested. The pool was so bad the water had to be drained and refilled. They didn't take or provide a water reading so you can imagine our water bill. Labor Day 2022...GREEN POOL AGAIN!!! Sent a text message with photos to an employee and Maurice...again the company was unresponsive. Called the office today only to receive the pre-recorded message they are Out Of Business. Not even the courtesy of a letter or recommendation of another pool service. Poor business etiquette and performance. Their trademark is "We make vacation water" they should add the word occasionally. Do not use this company for installation or service! They have the absolute worst communication…read moresystem for scheduling. They do not stick to their schedule after making me wait 2 weeks. I had a morning appointment for an install inspection between 8a -12p. At 11:30 I get a call telling they need to change my appointment for the afternoon But could not give me an ETA. Next app to install was another 2 week wait. Again get a call that parts were not available so needed to reschedule. The tech forgot he had told me to get the parts. So I explained that I had the parts and I needed them to keep to scheduled time of 8-12. This was 10:40 am. The dispatcher said she will speak to the tech supervisor and call me back, I never received a phone call I only received a text at 2p saying the tech was in route. Great from where? I called and again they could not give me an eta. My day was already messed up waiting for this guy. I said somebody needs to give me an idea because I have meetings. I get a call back from the tech that he was 20 mins out. He finally arrived at 3:15. Now comes the worst part. I should have check everything was running before he left but I had been out twice and asked that he redo one pipe direction and then to check for a leak and found one that he fixed. and at that time the salt cell was working. When I went out right after he left the salt cell was no longer lit up. This is obviously a flow problem. So I had to turn the system off so more damage is not created! And I call and can only to the people in the Philippines!! It's crazy really! So right now my pool pump is off. I Have been told to many times to count that a supervisor or manager will call me back. I am yet to hear from anyone. This company is the absolute worst. Do not use them! Pinch a penny is 100 local and reliable.

I called the owner he said the screen door was locked which it was two weeks ago I got the message that someone had locked the door with in 30 minutes I was there to unlock the door. He never rescheduled that week the following week my uncle was checking on the house he watched his employee come and go in less than 10 minutes they obviously did not vacuum that was on Wednesday on Saturday we had to vacuum the pool the following week green algae filled the pool I called the owner he said it wasn't our scheduled day so there was nothing he was willing to do. I let him know hat I had a large party for Father's Day planned he did not care. Did not send anyone I went to the pool store shocked the pool and vacuumed still green this pool has been neglected for some time to behave this badly.
