Sand on pavers that came out from between pavers

Pool Disaster Fall of 2020. Looked for pool service for weekly servicing plus power wash. acid wash the pool and seal pavers with  WET LOOK on driveway, path to front porch and pavers on back patio. Owner even responded that he agreed with the 'Wet Look. He responded that he knew exactly what we wanted. The next day a VERY nice man (owner) came to the house from Cole's.  He gave us a quote of $4,300.00. He then told us that he was so sure that we would be happy with his service that he didn't want any fees till the job was done the way we liked it and if we weren't happy, we owed him nothing.  So what have we got to loose? Right? So, we hired Cole's Pool Service.  We thought we would be added to a waiting list but also surprised when he said he would start the following week. The following week a small crew arrived, 2 were his sons which proceeded to move furnishings aside in preparation.  We have very heavy outside furniture and at our age there would have been no way we could have done this ourselves, no children to help, and we know no-one to help us.  NICE MAN OFFERED TO DO THIS FOR US. We are in our mid 70's and moved here to retire and could not do all this ourselves. After a week they announced they were finished.  The acid wash of the pool was performed by a sub-contractor who did his part successfully. however, our first question was why there was no  WET LOOK?  His response was that he had told us that if we didn't like it, we owed him nothing.  This was fine except that to get what we wanted we would again have to hire another contractor. The second thing we noticed was that the sand was not staying in between the pavers.  Our dog was tracking in this sand getting it everywhere in the house. The furniture had sand imbedded in the fabric and since our dog sleeps with us, the sand was in the bed requiring us to change sheets every morning and then the sand moving to the washing machine. Additionally, weeds came back with a vengeance between the pavers where the sand came out. After seeing the problems, we spoke with him, and he said "I told you I would redo it and just give me a few weeks."  After several weeks went by and not hearing back from him, we spoke to his son, whom we hired to do the weekly pool maintenance.  He said my dad said he would redo it and he will.  We continued to place calls and received no response for several more months and continued giving the son money for the pool maintenance. After several more months, contact was made and his reason was that he didn't have the money for new supplies to redo the job since we hadn't paid him. We wanted this to be done and over with so we paid him the $4300.00 he requested. We asked him what product he had used originally.  With this information we called the representative of the product, in Orlando, telling him what had happened also sending pictures. The rep offered guidance when Cole's was ready for the redo so it would be done correctly. We also stated that the sealer was done incorrectly.  I was on site the whole time so I knew this sealer was mixed on a 5 to 1 ratio. The rep said it was watered down and should have been done 3 to 1. Cole's Service said he was going to use a different product this time because he didn't like what he had originally used.  He was going to buy this from a friend. I asked the name of this sealer and his reply was that the sealer was named 'WET'. I said that's all?  Just WET? Yes, he said just WET.  I immediately looked on line for this product, but have found nothing or anyone that has ever heard of this sealer. Another month went by, we got hold of the contractor.  This time his excuse was that he meant to follow through with his plans but due to his bad memory he had forgotten. He hadn't picked up the WET SEALER yet. We finally told him we would pay for the sealer again if he would just provide the sand and service. He agreed. Another month elapsed and he then told us he needed more time as he had fired his crew. We had been paying his son for pool maintenance. After he had recently not come for 3 weeks, the pool turned green, we realized he was not returning which we don't understand, as he was always paid on time. We needed to go to the pool store and purchase many chemicals to get the pool back to normal. The pool filter was totally green. One time one of the contractor's crew told me he didn't have money for the weekend as he hadn't been paid. I pulled out my wallet and gave him $30.00. One other item related to this project that has not been corrected, Cole's replaced the box that monitors the chemical levels in the pool. The box has never functioned properly and gives false readings. The contractor from the beginning stated he needed to replace a part in the box. As with everything else he promised to replace the part, and to this day, it has not been replaced. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

Cole has been servicing our pool for 6 months now and couldn't be happier. When we first moved in the pool was like a swamp. Since being a customer our pool has been crystal clear day in and day out. He's gone over and beyond what basic pool cleaning services normally would. A+

Whatever you do, do not go with this pool service. We just completed our $100K pool in June and…read moredecided to hire this local company for maintenance, big mistake! Their service techs are very young and clearly inexperienced. They caused a yellow/gold stain that runs across the entire bottom of our pool by leaving chemicals sitting at the bottom. The stain appeared the very next day after their service. When my husband tried to brush it, some debris lifted, but the stain remained. When we contacted the company, they denied responsibility and told us to file a warranty claim with our pool builder instead. This company is 100% responsible for the damage to our pool. If you want to protect your investment, I strongly recommend choosing a different service provider.

The last time they did a repair, it took…read morethem well over two weeks to do it (they were called on March 27th, and the bill was sent on April 15th). During that time, they had four no-call no-shows. That might not be a big deal to them, but when I set aside time from my schedule to make sure I'm available when repairmen show up, it displays a serious lack of respect for their customers. One of the times they did show up, they didn't have the right part because the person who came out to do the assessment "miscommunicated" with them. When concern was expressed to Lance that the employee who did the initial assessment seemed stoned at the time, he laughed and said, "Probably." Normally, I wouldn't care, but the man drove one of their trucks through a neighborhood a block from an elementary school. Not once did they apologize for their unprofessional behavior. I've also done research and found they charge $224.99 for parts that can be purchased on Amazon for $159.99. I used to go to Seminole Pool Supply for all my pool needs. However, since they invested in their fleet of trucks, their service, especially their customer service, has gone downhill.

They made a plan to drain it and clean it and start Routine maintenance. So far they're doing a great job. My pool was drained and acid washed because the last service company let it turn green with algae along the edges and all through the fountain. It got out of control when I fired them because there was a gap in service for three weeks making various phone calls and waiting for Aquaworks to come out. They were not the first company I called. I had a no-show from one company and a late call back from another. It's hard to find good people. So far my fountain is getting a little green again. I spoke to my maintenance guy and he said it needs to be sprayed with bleach often. I had tried that in the past but had no idea they pool bleach and liquid bleach for laundry were different concentrations. He informed me that pool bleach was much stronger. He recommended a sprayer which I have since ordered. He also offered to fill it up with the pool bleach for me! I anticipate that this week. One of my qualms is their documentation. They sent me a receipt for draining the pool and upgrading my equipment etc but the receipt it not itemized at all. It just says here's the charge and that I paid. Kinda weird. The upgrade to the pool equipment has been a life saver. All this time I thought my pool vacuum sucked. It actually doesn't. It works great now that the pipes are the size they're supposed to be. Fantastic! Saved me from converting my pool vac to a jet powered one. They said the suction powered one is best for enclosed pools anyway. I appreciate they didn't try to up sell me on stuff I don't need. Seems like an honest company that is family owned. So far maintenance is going well.
