If I could give this realty business 0 stars I would! These people are rude as F***! Especially Cathy. She won't allow me or my roommate view houses or submit an application. All because one of "Tenants" and her are good friends. I called the office asking to speak with her about signing a new lease on a property I already reside in. She said you'll have to talk to the landlord. What? Aren't you who I'm suppose to talk to? Being the management company and all. she repeated her statement and hung up on me. Then she proceeded to send people to my home harassing me with notices. 1st a 30 day. Then a COUPLE OF DAYS LATER with a 10day AND a 2 day notice.BOTH TAPED TO THE FRONT DOOR AT THE SAME TIME! Had the water shut off with no notice. knowing I have children in the home. Just because her tenant subleases to me doesn't mean Cathy has the right to treat me like I am trash. I have pay my bills. Rent isn't missed. So don't I have the right to at least have a respectful conversation?? This woman and this company are not recommended if you're looking to be treated with respect and like you're a human being. read more

These people are absolutely horrible. I listed 2 of my properties with them for 2 months and I decided enough was enough. The amount of money they lost me in those 2 months was crazy. They were not able to work with my home warranty company and I had to pay for something outside of the warranty, even though it was already covered. that was $500 wasted. Before you hire, know that Jeff will not get off his ass to do anything. there is no communication back to the owners. I did not know that 2 of my units were empty. I also did not know when they were rented out. When you interview this company, ask Cathy specifics of how her business works (accounting, leasing, etc) and she will not be able to tell you. usually she would have failed my interview, but I hired her based on a recommendation. Also, please please please do yourself a favor and interview Jeff. You will get a feel of how lazy and stupid he is and end the interview quickly. you will save yourself a lot of money and frustration this way. read more

We were with property minders for 2 years. We loved this company! A) They make it super convenient to pay rent online. B) When we had appliances go out, like they normally do, we literally got same day fixes, unless WE weren't available...then it would be next day. C) Jeff and the PM team are super nice people. They are always friendly, professional, and take care of things quickly. D) We took very good care of our condo (Longmore Units) and we actually got every dollar of our deposit back. EVERY DOLLAR. If we ever move back to Arizona, we are definitely hitting up Jeff at PM and seeing what they got. If you are considering one of their properties, go for it. You'll be in good hands. Trying to make an offer on a house and you can't even get someone to answer the phone - let alone get a long recording that tells you to text them and then no one messages you back all day. Which is shocking considering the house has been sitting... maybe that explains why... most people probably have to go with a different property while they are waiting for a response! read more

Take a look at the late July timing of all the "positive" reviews. Comical. Do they not realize Yelp and it's users can figure out when positive reviews are solicited or paid for? I am very busy healthcare professional and I had to get new place close to work quickly as my old rental agreement was about to expire. Saw the property , emailed and got approved next day, paperwork was ready the day of moving and all I had to do pick up my keys, they respond to emails quickly. The day I moved in I noticed that front door window was broken as we had big storm night before, Jeff send someone to fix it same week, there was a little delay because of my work schedule, they sent technicians in on my chosen time, which is a huge plus for me as I work nights and usually sleep in till later afternoon. STOP DONT PROCEED!! Worst company ever! Rude, unprofessional, and just sketchy. Had problems from the start with communication no one answers the phone and text/emails are responded to super late with very short responses. Jeff is horrible thank God I never got to meet him, the guy is just an asshole! Paid my earnest deposit on a unit that stated it came with a garage right before I sign the lease I ask about the garage again and Jeff's respone was " I've never been to the property you can go check for yourself" my response was how are you a property manager and have never been to the property? How are you listening places if you don't know what amenities it offers? I told Jeff if he couldn't provide with a basic yes or no that I wouldn't be going through with it. He advices me to come pick up deposit. He didn't check with homeowner or someone who has been to the property. Our former property management company was transferred to Property Minders approximately one month ago. Cathy McCormack, our property manager, has been a problem from the onset of the transfer. We had a fine waved from the prior management company and it took several days and several emails back and forth to Ms. McCormack to get the fine off of our bill. Even though I sent her emails from the prior company, photos of emails, contact information and contact persons, Ms. McCormack refused to do any work to assist in resolving the situation. I made all the calls and notifications even though she was assigned as our manager. She did nothing to make the transition from the former company to Property Minders a positive experience. In fact she gave the impression she didn't care about our needs and did nothing to make my first encounter with her a positive one. Yesterday my home was burglarized. After notifying the police and attaining a police report, I called Ms. McCormack at the companies emergency number. Between my roommate and I, we made four calls. We received an email from Ms. McCormack 12 hours later! Again, what a disappointing customer service experience from her. She didn't ask about our situation, didn't ask about our welfare, but send a short, unpunctuated, very unprofessional email telling us to contact our renters insurance. Two experiences where the company and Ms. McCormack specifically could have made a bad situation better. Instead her unprofessionalism and poor work ethic reflect poorly on both. read more

I have used Property Minders for the past 6 months and we are off to a great start. They helped find a renter for our condo quickly, the move-in went very smoothly and I was kept informed of the tenant's wishes upon her move in so we could decide what needed to be replaced and what was a nice to have. The direct deposit system is very efficient and the web portal allows me to see exactly where we stand on rent, repairs and other expenses. I was my own property manager for a few years and not having to deal with the stress of receiving checks, handling repair requests in the middle of the night, etc is worth engaging Property Minders. read more

I signed a lease with a move in date of two weeks later. I move into the property and the heat doesn't work. I know this is Arizona but it's January, cold, rainy, and the inside temperature in the house is 58 degrees. I contact the property manager immediately (Friday afternoon at least 2 hours before close of business). He asks if there's a gas meter outside. I tell him no, it's just APS. I tell him how cold the place is. I hear nothing. I contact them to see if anyone is coming out. He's waiting to hear from the owner. It's now Sunday. I still have no heat. I check the outlets for my kids bedrooms as they will be coming home on Wednesday from their dad's and I need to set up heaters in there if this issue is still not addressed. The outlets don't work. I contact the property manager again, particularly about the heat and was told, and I quote, "It's the weekend, you will most likely receive a call Monday." I can bet you if it was his house, that heat would be fixed immediately. They don't contact you by calling. Only text and email. It's like they work to avoid any sort of major issues. I went with this company and this house because I came to Yelp and saw the positive reviews. Clearly service has gone down hill in a matter of months. read more

Rude and unprofessional company. Never answered the phone and when emails are responded to, they may only be one word. We had problems since day one as the house we leased was filthy upon move in. Communication was poor and failed to communicate things to the homeowner on our behalf. Homeowner wanted to sell, we were considering buying the property. This information was never conveyed to the owner. It worked out for us, as we purchased a better home, but this was still frustrating. I was present for the check out inspection where NO issues were brought to light. However, they added things after the fact, where I was not present to verify/document. This was not only unethical, but violated law. One of the items was in the same condition at move in, the other item was caused by normal wear-tear due to the houses non-working water system (which was not my responsibility to fix or maintain). As a homeowner, I would not recommend this company to manage my property. Additionally, as a tenant, I would stay away. read more

For the past couple of years, I've rented an apartment in Mesa from Property Minders. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. Anytime I've needed repairs of any sort, they send someone out right away to fix the problem. Jeff has great customer service skills. I am sorry to say that my experience was less than pleasant with this company. Both the broker Cathy McCormick and her office staff Jeff Pango are quite unfriendly, not personable at all. I rented a property from them for one year, I signed a second lease under duress, as my brother was dying at the time. I immediately had buyers remorse, and explained the situation and asked the company if there was anyway they would consider releasing me from the lease. To my surprise and relief Cathy agreed, provided that I was willing to show the property and accept responsibility for paying rent until it was rented. If I agreed to these terms they would let me out of my lease without penalty. The very next day I myself found a renter for the house, they went through the application process and were approved. The rental company did not have to do any advertising or cleaning, as it was a family member of mine. Much to my surprise two weeks later I received my deposit check accompanied by a letter stating I was charged $500 for breaking my lease. At this time I do not know if this matter can be resolved outside of court or not. I have emails from Cathy stating I would not be penalized, so hoping this will be sufficient in a court of law in order to win the case. Also during a storm in Aug 2014 a large portion of fence fell down, I reported this the very next morning and Jeff promptly responded by email that it would be fixed. Although two different individuals came to look at the damage, it was not repaired until October. During these two months when the fence was down the neighbors pit bull puppy had free range of my backyard. One last thing, before renting I was told that the house would be professionally cleaned. It was not, and we have pictures proving, though we were charged $200 non-refundable, I assume for this 'professional cleaning' that never happened. Buyer's beware. read more
