After hearing one horror story after another and reading reviews of other pool companies we decided to go with Crystal Clear Signature Pools. Bruno, who designed the pool and the owner Vince were involved every step of the way, helping us to make decisions. Their contractors were top notch and not only were they great with keeping our property clean but they were all very professional and courteous. We love our pool! Steve and Linda

I spent a significant amount of money with S&R Pool on a complete pool renovation: a new liner,…read moreslide, stamped concrete, and more. The cost isn't my issue. My issue is the quality of the work and how problems have been handled. Most recently, part of the brand-new liner detached from the track only three years after installation. S&R Pool came out to inspect the pool themselves, yet they immediately tried to blame the water level being too low. That explanation makes no sense. They closed the pool themselves, and the water level at closing was just below the skimmer. When the pool was opened, the water level was at the skimmer. I've lived in my home for 11 years. For the first 8 years, I had an older liner and never once had it come off the track. Then, only 3 years after S&R installed a brand-new liner, it suddenly detaches. That's not a coincidence. That's poor workmanship. Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue I've had with them. During the renovation, my sprinkler system was destroyed. It was basically brushed aside as collateral damage, and I ended up paying thousands of dollars out of pocket to repair the lawn and restore the damaged areas. Then, two winters ago, I paid to have my pool filter acid washed. When I opened the pool, it was obvious the filter had not been cleaned at all. I ended up cleaning it myself. To their credit, they did provide a credit for the service, but it was still disappointing to pay for work that was never done. What frustrates me most is the lack of accountability. Instead of standing behind their work on a liner that is only three years old, they blamed the customer and their solution was to replace the entire liner at a cost of thousands of dollars. A liner that they installed just three years ago should not be failing like this, and suggesting a complete replacement rather than taking responsibility is unacceptable. I've tried to overlook the previous issues, but this liner problem is the last straw. If something goes wrong, I expect a company to stand behind its work and work toward a fair solution. Unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience with S&R Pool. Based on the repeated issues and how they've been handled, I won't be doing business with them again, and I would caution others to think carefully before hiring them.

The inspector states it's not up to code with electrical and plumbing. When we called they first said that they did the electrical not up to code "because the township usually doesn't bother checking that." Now the plumbing is still not up to code and we haven't heard back. Hot tub still doesn't work right. And half the time when we turn the pool heater on it trips the circuit breakers. Every time we had an issue Brian would try to pretend it was us. While the pool was being installed they set the valves wrong and it emptied our hot tub by mistake. We called to notify Brian and he kept saying "well, don't mess with the valves!" But, we hadn't. They had messed it up themselves. I have given up having a proper running hot tub. But I would like to have a pool that can pass inspection!

This year there were a few issues I was dealing with from the start of the season. The new salt cell was not working and they had been promising me to repair it/ replace it. They stopped returning my calls and responding to my texts. It finally got resolved after about a month of follow up. Due to this I decided not to use them for my pool closing. The owner agreed to refund my prepaid closing cost in full. It has been 3 weeks and he has not sent me the check he promised, nor responded to my emails or returned my VMs. Apparently, when you are purchasing services or parts, Cascade is fine. When a problem arises, you can expect the poorest customer service imaginable. This has been very disappointing and I'm still hoping the owner will do the right thing and give me my refund.
