I ordered the salmon hot plate. There was steamed broccoli, salmon and some brown rice. Portion was a bit less for the price.

When I ordered takeout for my book club group, the manager and his team were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere is bright, cheerful, and inviting, with a lovely combination of yellow and blue colors. It's a great place for both lunch and takeout. I recently served it to my book club group, and everyone absolutely loved it. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious options. My personal favorites are the chicken or beef plate, which is juicy and tender, and the mezze plate, which is filled with mouthwatering bites. The Khachapuri is warm and delicious, the Arayes are flavorful, and the soup has outstanding flavors. To top it all off, the prices are incredibly reasonable! This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a casual, clean, and well-priced dining and takeout experience in Menlo Park. Do yourself a favor and go, and so they stay; we need more places like this here!

What bothered me was that we had a coupon for a free side of Falafel following attending the owner's book signing, however even though the coupon had no expiration date and we met all the conditions, after 15 minutes of waiting for this to be clarified, the coupon was refused because the Chef was in a meeting and was unable to approve it. Gave me the feeling that I was trying to scam them or something, after driving there especially from San Jose.

Not much has changed except the price. The food really blew me away. When I came here in the past, I guess I was on a frozen mocha diet. I ordered the lasagna ($27 with tax). I guess I wasn't expecting much but wow, you can taste the handmade pasta and bolognese sauce. It was delicious with the crispy edges. It also came with a small salad (because iykyk... fiber). It was a bit pricey for lunch but the quality was there. We are outside which was nice and shaded. Overall, good service, nice environment, and great food will keep me coming back here for more! Sorry no pics because I don't want to embarrass myself in front of my colleagues.

The French toast was fluffy, buttery, and easily one of the highlights. The omelette with cream and mirin really hit the spot, and the breakfast wrap was also excellent. No complaints here. Drinks (3/5): The drinks tasted good, but we ordered them extra hot and they arrived cold, which was disappointing. You are also responsible to pick them up so stay close to the barrista id you need coffee. Ambiance (4/5): The atmosphere is lively and energetic, which gives the place a fun brunch vibe. That said, it can feel overcrowded. The seating is very tight, tables are pushed close together, and the line can get quite long. Service (2/5): This was unfortunately the biggest issue. One of our items was missed in the original order. When I went back to fix it, staff initially entered it as a separate order and told me there wasn't much they could do and that I'd need to pick it up as a to-go order. After multiple conversations, I asked them to simply combine it with our original order and bring it to our table, which they eventually agreed to. When our food arrived, the missing item was still missing. After checking with staff three separate times, we were eventually told they were "doing us a favor" by giving us someone else's to-go item. By that point, we had already finished most of our breakfast and were ready to leave. The staff seemed more focused on explaining how busy they were rather than taking ownership of the mistake, even though the issue started with the original order being missed. Overall, this is a solid 4-star if you go on a quieter day and you don't need much customer service because the food is absolutely worth trying. On a busy day, though, be prepared for a potential 2-star experience, mainly due to customer service.

The entire space…read moreis beautifully designed with floral details everywhere -- it's easily one of the most aesthetic brunch spots in the area. The presentation of the food is stunning. Every dish looks like it was made for photos, but it actually delivers on taste too. The drinks and desserts were especially memorable -- light, fresh, and not overly sweet. It's definitely more of an experience-driven place, so expect it to be on the pricier side. But if you're going for a cute brunch, a girls' day, or content creation, it's 100% worth it. Service was friendly, though it can get busy, so I'd recommend making a reservation. Overall, if you're in the Bay Area and want a brunch spot that's both visually beautiful and enjoyable, Son & Garden is a must-visit.

Our…read morereservation was at 1:00, but from the moment we arrived, the hostess kept repeating that the kitchen closed at 1:30. It was said so many times that the whole table immediately felt rushed instead of welcomed. To make matters worse, we were seated on the outdoor patio during a cold, windy day, and the heat lamps didn't seem to work. Not exactly the best setting when hosting business guests. Even though we arrived on time, menus didn't come until around 1:15, which left us with barely any time to order before the hard 1:30 cutoff they kept warning us about. Then right at 1:30, we were told the kitchen and bar were closed, so no additional food or drinks could be ordered. I ordered the stone pot bibimbap and it missed the mark. The rice should have that crispy texture from the hot stone bowl, but instead it was wet, mushy, and didn't feel like a true bibimbap experience. The most disappointing part was being asked to leave around 2:15 while people were still finishing their food and drinks. Overall, it felt more like we were being managed out the door than hosted. I was genuinely embarrassed to have brought corporate guests here.

Wow. Could not have been happier with the food!…read more Will present the food in the order I would recommend: Banana fritters- soft clouds of fried dough, over some rum dark chocolate sauce. Divine! 7/5 Curry cauliflower over a red non spicy sauce. Refreshing! The flavors blended together with the flavorful but not overpowering flavor, with the well balanced sauce underneath. Could not stop eating it. $17 8/5 Mezze plate - the coconut feta was very creamy and good, I really enjoyed the pomegranate arugula salad with pickled onion and with the pieces of falafel inside. The flatbread was a little hard, but good. The eggplant was good and hummus also good. $32 price a little steep for the platter 6/5 Impossible cheeseburger - classic impossible burger. The standout item was the fries, quite good! Crisp outside and soft inside. 5/5 French toast - ok, a little dry, the berry sauce was good but lacking a little dynamic flavor maybe some citrus? 3/5 Cookie with vegan ice cream. Alas, pastries are still difficult to make well vegan 3/5 Service was a little distracted and hard to order. Bussing was very on top of it. I will return for the top items
