    H12. Chicken Club Sandwich
    Mary G.

5=Service/Staff, 4=Food, 3=Ambiance Daddy was craving a hot sandwich for lunch and was in the Menlo Park Area. With the aid of Yelp we pleasantly discovered Mardini's Deli that specializes in American & Mediterranean. A spacious local deli spot with booth and table seating with friendly staff. Order at counter, which has a smorgasbord of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern sweets including the social media popular Dubai Chocolate. Seeing it was imported, I was inspired to buy and try it for first time. Love the nicely balance of sweetness and crunchiness. Now, I want to try the dark chocolate version. We ordered the vegetarian mediterranean platter (5 stars) and grilled chicken club sandwich on wheat roll with fries (3 stars). Portion=5 enough for another meal for both items. I'd come back to try more of the mediterranean options and the hamburger. The falafel was crunchy and light in middle, enjoying every single bite. Salads were crisp & perfectly dressed, I especially enjoyed their tabouli which tasted like a bite of Spring. Hummus super creamy with balanced flavoring between lemon, tahini & olive oil. The sandwich ingredients were fresh & proportionate. The chicken breast had that nice grilled flavor, but 5 min cooked too long as was dry making it hard to chew. Pleased with thick style french fries, but were more limp and warm than crispy hot. Dad had a fountain drink and I had water. Definitely will come back to enjoy more of their mediterranean options, tuna melt and hamburger.

This was my first time ever eating here and I didn't come in with any sort of expectations, but overall I enjoyed my experience. The ambiance isn't going to blow you away but the great service and fresh delicious food is what it's all about. I asked the gentleman behind the counter what he recommended since I don't usually eat Mediterranean food that often. He suggested I try their lamb and beef Shawarma with a side of fries. ($30) I was a bit "iffy" with the price at first but let me tell you that it was worth it. They gave me a pretty big portion, the meat was flavorful and moist and everything was perfect. A nice little stop if you are in the Palo Alto area.

SOLID! We stumbled on this spot. We were the only folks in this establishment at 1st so I kind of wondered if I had found a gem or a no bueno spot. Boy did we luck out. Woweeeee from the moment we walked in we were greeted with such warmth. The place was clean and lots of places to sit. We were generously given beautiful mushroom soup, hummus and warm pita bread - so authentic and delish. Then the mains came: HUGE fresh chicken and lamb shawarma's. As we were leaving the place it started to fill up with obvious locals and the phone started to ring off the hook. This place rocks. We will definitely be back and maybe even partake in a draft IPA when not on the clock !

What a great find for food! I ordered the cheese steak sandwich and the combo plate with chicken shawarma, lamb amd beef Gyro option. The flavors on the cheese steak were incredible and it was a big sandwich which I should have split, but was a glutton and ate it all myself. It did come with a side of French fries which I wasn't able to finish. The combo plate was just a flavorful. The spices they used to season all of the foods were on point! I ate plate for dinner and was only able to eat 1/3 of it and I can eat a good portion on one setting. There was so much food that they give you and it's a bargain for what they charge. I will definitely be back when I come to the neighborhood! Great food and great service, it's a must try.

We stopped by this place on a whim on our way to SF, and I'm so glad we did. The owner was super friendly, the food was fresh, and the portions were huge! Probably one of the best gyro wraps I've had in a long time. They also have outdoor seating, which was a nice bonus.

Great service! The chef and cashier let us sample the food before deciding, as it is our first time. The beef kabob did not disappoint

So unique and so delicious. The steak was seasoned well. Mushroom Burger: So moist and flavorful!! Fries: Perfectly seasoned and cooked. There were long pieces of fries!! Loved it. Strawberry Milkshake: They give you the milkshake in the glass AND the rest of it in the milkshake metal container. You could easily split one with a friend. Tastes yummy!!! I opted for their signature Burger Salad Bowl ($13), which was incredibly satisfying. My boyfriend went for a traditional burger and fries, and he was just as happy. The burgers are a good size. Bigger than your typical fast-food patty, but not overwhelmingly huge like some gourmet options. It's a really cute, relaxed spot with plenty of comfy booth seating, perfect for a casual meal. Don't expect anything super fancy, but the table service was a nice touch. You order at the counter, grab a number, and they bring your food right to you. Highly recommend for a laid-back and delicious burger experience!

A beautiful sunny day and reasonably good appetite and lots of anticipation. Today there was a special BBQ Burger with cheese, sauce, pickles, bacon. Thinking this is going to be like IN an Out, wrong not even close and I like In an Out a lot. First it's fast in that it's not a sit down restaurant but there is plenty of seating if you want to eat on site, second your burger is made to order, and hot when you get it delivered to your table. It's generously large. So we got 2 beef patties and you could actually see a little pink in the middle and they were juicy. Pretty amazing. Also each patty was 4 ounces so the burger was 1/2 lb. Fresh pickles, tasty cheese a decent bun (ok not great) and two delicious patties, that I choose to cut with a knife least i end up with spilling most of it on me, like I said it was juicy, didn't have fries or coke junk rather just enjoyed the Burger. I'd do this again with no regrets. Suggest you go. Now

We always ask for a table with chairs because I have back problems and can't sit in their totally worn booths and the host has never had a problem with that request. But yesterday the regular host wasn't there and we were told they were busy and we had to sit at the counter or in a booth because they didn't want to put us the two of us at a table for four (there were two tables available). We waited for nearly ten minutes and when I asked again if we could sit at one of the tables was almost rudely told no, they were busy. So we left and went to Joanie's on California Avenue. They were also busy but immediately seated us and we had a much better lunch. Sometimes it's good to change things up as we'd forgotten how kind and attentive all the of the staff are at Joanie's and how much better the food was. And both of our plates of food came out hot and perfectly cooked which doesn't always happen at the Creamery. I guess we just eat there for the memories. My husband said none of the staff at the Creamery seem happy except for the host so if we don't see him seating the guests, we'll just go to Joanie's.

The food was solid, but nothing crazy. The pizza came out nuclear hot, almost burnt myself haha. The burger was pretty plain. The tenders were decent. The French dip was probably the standout, actually pretty fire. Overall, the food is fine, not bad, just kind of mid. This place is more about the vibe than the cuisine.
