a coffee shop counter with coffee machines

This is a nice spot for groups or coming alone for a morning/afternoon coffee and treats. They have multiple long vertical tables (community Style Seatings) that are suitable for business meetings or friends gatherings. You can also bring your laptop, monitor(s) and keyboard here with you and work from the café.

Tucked away behind main streets, this is a hidden treasure. It has an industrial look and lots is space inside sit. The tables are for sharing and has good options to eat as well. We tried Americano and Mushroom Empanadas and really liked them. Definitely would like to try again!

Yirgz Pour over

Ordered a Yirgz pour over. Great bean and delivered perfectly through pour over. Pronounced floral note, plenty of sweetness, and subtle acidity. This is now my favourite Toronto metro roastery. Plus, their price is unbelievably low: $5.5 for pour over.

Solid neighbourhood cafe and great place for working. Café fits around 60 people plus a little outdoor seating. It was rammed when I went. I was surprised by the number of people there. With all the people here, Wi-Fi speeds still managed 11/10 on testing which isn't so bad. Notable espresso. Had a muffin also. Service is great. Very airy with the high roof. Worth a visit.

This place is great. Solid design, modern. On 2 visits; genuinely 'nice' staff. Clean washrooms available, excellent addition to this area, hopefully it continues to grow. Most importantly; EXCELLENT flat white/espresso. The ACE (bought for home), A+.

3.5 stars overall. Service and space is a 4 star experience though! Propeller Coffee is a local coffee roaster and from trying various cafes around Toronto, I've found their single origin bean to be a growing favourite. This particular location is hidden ... you would never think that down a gritty industrial road would have this little gem of a coffee spot. The space itself is a modern loft like space with a nice vaulted ceiling and a large space. It's so large that they rent out this spot for special events including weddings. I've tried to come here twice before only to find it closed early because it was booked for a wedding. Service here was a notable stand out. They have a lot of beans available for purchase. I knew I liked some beans but I had no idea which ones to choose. The barista took the team to come around from counter and helped us figure out which beans best matched the flavour profile I loved. She even explained a bit about the regional bean profile so I could be better exploring more beans if that particular one wasn't exactly what I wanted. This was just really great. Flat White - The pretty latte art adorned a quickly made cup. The price point was very favourable. The bean they used was Ace and it certainly wasn't bad but I found it more acidic than I like. It had a bit of a light body and a fruitier note than I was expecting. To a person who isnt used to espresso based drinks, you may find this a bit more sour than you're used to. Overall, a good solid drink. 3.5/5 We did end up buying Brazil Monte Alto beans and it was much closer to what I liked. So I think next time I'm here, I'll probably try a pour over instead or see if they can grind up some other beans for a flat white!

This is a great spot for coffee and getting some work done as a hipster trendy cool person (Macbook required). Come by and get a great customer service from all the team and quite tasty coffee! Skip the food but stay for the multiples coffee options that most coffee places don't venture in. Great ambiance and work atmosphere! Recommend!

Great place to get some work done! The space is airy and bright with ample seating -- no fighting for a spot here. There is plenty of room to spread out and you don't feel hurried out at any point. Wifi is good, music is quiet and not too distracting. The coffee is excellent -- I think their beans recently won an award? This is not the place for fancy flavoured lattes. Rather, just get something simple and enjoy. They offer a small selection of cookies, croissants, and sandwiches in case you get hungry. This is a lovely spot and it's just a short walk from Lansdowne station. Part of me wishes it were more centrally located, but I think part of the charm (and the reason it is nice and quiet) is because it is on a side street.

Had a superb cup of coffee and a chocolate croissant this morning. Best coffee I've had so far in Toronto, and the vibe is really nice.

Inside, its on the rustic side with naturally decaying walls and patina of wear on the tables and chairs. My latte was good. My scone would have been better if it was less cold. Due to amount of butter and cheese in the dough, with it being really quite cold, it felt vey congealed - but it had great flavour. I would order it again, but I'd perhaps see if they could heat it, or I'd take it home and heat it. The staff was friendly. Would I return: Yes - but I think there are other options in the area that I might head to first. Would I recommend: This is a great place for people who live nearby to get their morning fix.

Staff is really friendly and the coffee is great, much much better than Starbucks. They are a true small neighbourhoods coffee shop. I believe they source their baked goods from several places, one of which delivers the most amazing chocolate nana bread that I have ever tried. I really hope they'll be able to bring more of that soon. Their coffee is great. You have a costumer y of kills and non- worry options to choose from, as well as syrups of your want to flavour your coffee or tea. They always have great new suggestions as well. And there is no better way than supporting a local business than getting your coffee there.

Ground Level Cafe's barista is the nicest barista I encountered using my Indie Coffee Passport. If…read morejust for him, I would have give them a 5 star... On a cold winter afternoon, the shop was half empty.. so I can sit where ever I like... either at those nice comfy sofas/armchairs at the back or in the wicker chairs in the front overlooking Queen street under the sunshine... I was surprise when my cappuccino was served in a paper cup?!! I asked the nice guy why not in a mug? I cannot drink from a paper cup that is hot to touch (I have history of spilling hot drinks all over myself or my friends)..I need a mug!!!! Sorry.. they don't have MUGS!! The cappuccino itself is quite good... the roast was a little weak to my liking but the froth was dense and milky... Note to Management: " Please have some mugs!!" and I don't care how environmentally your paper cups are!!!

I swear you could play European handball in here, yet you'll only find two easy chairs, two kitchen-sized tables and several rattan seats near the front. That's not to say the atmosphere isn't swell. I'm sick of saying "exposed brick" so I won't. The Queen St façade is all windows, and the natural light just pours into this high-ceilinged space. And as a graphic design enthusiast, believe me, I love negative space -- but more seating wouldn't hurt. My latte was served at approximately 451 degrees Fahrenheit and took some time to produce, but it was tasty and only $2.75. There is art on the walls (for sale) and a few bookshelves laden with reading material (also for sale). I would certainly spend time in this place (free wifi) but be warned: the music is horrible. I heard two Police tracks while in here, need I say more? Obligatory Title Pun: This place is on the LEVEL. Menu Readability: A big old chalkboard with (gasp) really poor handwriting. Need to mention: They also serve paninis, grilled cheese, bagels and soup. Cash only. What this place teaches me about myself: Don't stand/Don't stand/Don't stand so close to me.
