On my way back from the post office I decided to stop by for a slice. While it wasn't the best pizza I have had in the area it was good for the usual $4 slice with a pop. I could tell that they had added the pepperoni to the slice right before they reheated it. It didn't have all the good hot oil that cooks into the pizza when you order it with pepperoni. Other than that the sauce was nice but it almost had too much cheese on it. I know that is almost an oxymoron but it wasn't hot enough so it had that half solidified taste to it that isn't too appealing. On the plus side it was a huge slice and since it was thick crust it help up to the crazy amount of cheese. Overall good but not great slice. Ill keep on looking and probably try their thin crust - its supposed to be better. read more

Our first time here, and we were cordially greeted by five separate staff members before we were even seated on the patio! The patio is stellar! It is clean, spacious, modern, with heaters and lighting. Truly a relaxing experience. George and Steve have a wonderful serving staff. Our server, Juliette, was simply put, "over the top" and a big reason why we will come back to Pronto's often! The food was fantastic, prices reasonable, and gluten free options for my wife. My entire family are big fans of Pronto! Yes, their pizza is top notch (we like the Sausage pizza and the BBQ pizza the most), and comes on 4 types of crusts, but the entire menu is filled with strong offerings. I love this place. I travel to the Chicago area several times a year and always have to stop at Pronto's at least once. The food is top notch and the drinks are on point. The ladies at the bar pour a perfect drink every time and Candice, the nice lady at the front always has a smile on her face. I personally live for the Italian beef and hot giardiniera pizza. The stuffed meatball pizza is also straight titty city. Sometimes I even order carry out from the east coast and have it shipped to me. It's cold when it arrives, but it tastes better than any alternative. The ham, pork, Swiss and pickle appetizer named after a fine Italian car that I can't pronoare also super delicious. The weekend specials never disappoint. If all that isn't reason enough, their superb desserts are made from scratch. You definitely have to leave room for dessert. My husband loves Pronto's. It's always his first suggestion when we discuss pizza. Last night we ate in the restaurant instead of just having it delivered and I'm glad we did that. I was able to see their deals on Tuesday and Wednesday and taste their very delicious bread that was brought to the table. It still took a long time to get the pizza (which has always been one of my chief complaints), but at least I'm now aware of other reasons why we should GO to their restaurant. After we had eaten our fill of pizza I tried their gelato (a good deal at only $3 and I was able to sample their new flavor; Dulce de Leche). Service was pretty good as far as regular drink refills went but it would have been nice to get more bread. I think we had tried some of their appetizers on our last in house visit and my husband said we tried the calamari and it was good. Overall this is a good neighborhood pizza joint but I'd recommend making the trek to the restaurant to take advantage of their specials. read more

So there was a review on here from some former employee stating Pronto freezes everything, nothing is fresh and John and Mark do not care about employees or customers. I call bull. My wife and I have been eating here 3 to 4 times per month for 5 years. Not one time was there a thought our food was not fresh. We have tried almost everything on the menu, fresh and delicious every time. We request substituting or adding things off of menu items and every time we get what we ask for. If everything was frozen that wouldn't happen. I've watched John give things to customers no charge when it was the customer who clearly made a mistake, not a Pronto's employee. I've gotten to personally know employees, especially managers and bartenders and not one time have they ever said anything other than Mark and John were fair and honest people to work for. Excellent pizza we had the Margarita with pepperoni medium crust, it was excellent. The basil was fresh so as the rest of the ingredients. The bottom of the crust was a little crunchy but we liked it. The owner said the margarita is usually cocked that way but he can kick it down a notch if we like to. We ordered Calamari as an appetizer, it was phenomenal.... Fresh, fried the right way withe the crust crispy but not too hard, just fluffy. We would come back again. read more

Food was on point. Delicious. We got the boneless chkn wings with Garlic chili extreme sauce on the side. That sauce is to die for!! Omg we took the leftover sauce home to reuse. We also got the spicy blackened chkn pizza-thin crust. OUT OF THIS WORLD!. Fresh ingredients, so much cheese, right out the oven. Although it is alil pricey. I would say its worth it. Food was great, both the pizza (tried both deep dish and thin crust and both were good) and other things tried along the way. However, I had to take a point off because none of the employees wore masks--they definitely had them, as I saw our waitress' mask sticking out of one pocket, but not once did she put it on, and the other staff were just sitting around indoors without wearing them either. We ate outside on the patio--which was nice, and not too loud despite the nearby road--so it shouldn't make a difference for us, but lots of people ate inside, and besides, it's a perception issue as well as a practical one. Not wearing masks sends a message these days, and it's a message I disapprove of enough to knock a full point off of an otherwise great restaurant's rating. read more

I can't believe I've not yelped about Pronto's yet as I have been ordering from here for over a year. Everything at this restaurant is fabulous! From the service to the decor to the food. I've never had one thing from here which I didn't love. Their chocolate cake is a must, as is the broccoli salad.... you really can't go wrong with one item here. Past few times the pizza quality seems to have diminished. The the prices I expect quality. I will say the toppings seem to be fresh but the crust is meh.... I recently had a bad experience where I had several items sent to my house. Delivery driver said that is everything he made sure he had it. Sure enough my wife's meal was missing. Here is another spot that I have had bookmarked for quite some time and finally made it in. They used to be further down Bloomingdale road in a strip mall but now have their own stand alone building which was formally Bloomingdale restaurant years back. Ordered a pizza (Sausage, mushroom, roasted red peppers) for pick up along with an order of fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms here were just perfect. Probably the best I have had. There was no visible sign or taste of the oil they were fried in. Greaseless. That's a feat since most places can't do them right. Anyway on to the pizza........very good. Good, plentiful, and fresh toppings. Sauce was good, crust was good. This pizza had a good balance, which to me is the most important thing about pizza. All ingredients in harmony with each other. We all liked it a lot. Probably one of the best Chicago style thin crusts I have had in this area. I am definitely going to be back. Cheers to all read more

We have only ordered pizza once, which was good but not pizza we order every time. Surprisingly what we come back for is the sandwiches and pasta! Generally I have not had great experiences with sandwiches from pizza places but this place is an exception. First, they have several options for vegetarians, which is greatly appreciated. I have tried two and was pleasantly surprised by both. Our family has also tried BBQ beef, Italian beef and a couple other sandwiches that were all very much liked. This is my personal & UNIQUE experience of this business. My experience can be supported with emails, phone records AND a video. For 4+ years, my neighbor(s) have been a delivery customer of PRONTOS. When they deliver to my neighbor(s), the delivery driver will park their car in my driveway. My car is in my garage, the d/w is clear. This neighbor keeps their car parked in their d/w, so it's blocked. So then why doesn't PRONTOS park in the street? When I catch them, I chase them out & tell them don't park/stop parking in my driveway. I'd ask who they deliver for & I'd usually get ignored. In those 4 years, I have complained to PRONTOS about 10x and there have been another 6x where I only have suspicion it's PRONTOS. The 1st driver I caught that admitted he was from PRONTOS was in the summer of 2014. He parked his blue jaguar in my driveway. I called PRONTOS asking to speak to the owner thinking that the guy driving the blue jaguar WAS the owner, but when I did speak to the actual owner (John), he confirmed that his delivery driver was not the owner & did in fact drive a blue jaguar, apologized & said it would stop. It didn't stop & we're here 4 years later with the most recent incident & hopefully the last. In June 2018, I was blocked in from leaving b/c their driver was parked in my d/w. I waited for the driver & confronted him. "Him" was not at all apologetic, but instead was indignant & vulgar. In response to my frustration in having to wait for him, he suggested loudly in front of my neighbors (not the customer/neighbor, but other neighbors who were sitting outside enjoying the summer early evening and their kids playing in the street), that if I just had sexual intercourse (but he used a vulgar word), I wouldn't be so frustrated. To add, this driver had to blow into a breathalyzer device before he could start the car. ***I make no accusations or implications, nor should the reader.***The driver wouldn't tell me who he delivered for. And after yelling loudly 10x his concerns about my much needed sexual wellness (but he used vulgar word), he left. And he probably thought he got away with it. But I knew it was PRONTOS, because it's always PRONTOS. I called PRONTOS & asked the girl who answered the phone if one of their their drivers required a breathalyzer device, she confirmed & I then asked to speak with the owner John. I told him that once AGAIN, I caught one of his drivers parked in my d/w & told John everything that happened, the drivers behavior and vulgar language and device in his car and I that video'd this incident. He apologized. But he's been apologizing for 4 years. To be honest, I thought the breathalyzer device was going to be my "gotcha" moment with the driver & that would get him fired. Bad attitude, disrespectful, vulgar & breathalyzer. You want this person representing your business? In that call to John, I told him I was following up with a email which would include picture of the car & license plate and to tell him for the last time, STAY OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, that his driver was was unapologetic, aggressive, disrespectful and vulgar and concerned about my sexual wellness(but he use a vulgar word) . He replied to that email & again apologized. What is odd is that it been different drivers these 4+ years. And there are weeks & months in between incidents. It's usually occurs between 6-7pm when I am either coming home from work OR I am already home and leaving to go out after work OR if I am in the back part of my home. It happens too often for it to be just a fluke or a one off crazy driver. If I've caught them 16x (those I can prove + others where I've been suspicious) in 4 years, I am catching them 1x every 3 months on average. Am I that intuitive to my neighbor's hunger that I can sync my schedule of 1.coming home from work or 2.going out after work or 3.in the back part of my home during the same 3 minute time period as PRONTOS delivers? I can't see through walls, around corners AND I live above the garage and cannot see down & out through flooring. And I don't have cameras. I can't only catch them just when they do it. How unlucky are they? As an example, you hear about that one person who gets busted for a DUI/impaired driving. They insists it's their first time - never done it before - they swear. Some would say it's just the first time they've been caught, NOT the first time they've driven impaired. But think how unlucky one has to be to get caught the only time they've been impaired while driving. Then as a result of that bad luck, being legally required to have an ignition monitoring device installed on their car. Which leads me to believe that PRONTOS is using my d/w more often then they've been caught. And I won't go into what someone at PRONTOS told my neighbor/their customer about me with respect to my complaints. What the heck had happened here? Tonight we ordered take out consisting of 4 dinners plus a small cheese pizza. As a family with adult children and grandkids we have probably eaten in or ordered in as well as many catered events 100 times over the years. When I get a chicken dish, lemon herb roasted chicken and broccoli and half the container is fluid filled with watery substance I knew something was horribly wrong. The taste was boiled in water, pale skinned chicken next to soggy wet broccoli disaster. I threw it out. Pizza wow cardboard crust. I don't understand what's happening lately. In fairness the calamari salad was good as well sausage and tortellini was ok. I just can't get over the chicken and pizza. read more

Went for lunch with a friend, staff were not wearing masks- only person was our waitress. Our waitress said she would bring us warm bread when we were seated. She never brought it out, I had to ask the bartender for it. We waited a little over an hour for our meals- ridiculous. The place was practically empty so I know they were not slammed in the kitchen. A 12" thin crust pizza & panzerotti, the pizza came out warm not hot. We asked for ranch dipping sauce, didn't get it with the meal. We had to ask for that also. We asked for to go containers that took about 10 mins to receive them. My friend & I will not be eating their again. Italian pizza kitchen has better food & service. First time eating here and it won't be the last. Went here with my husband for a date night and it was busy but for a good reason, everything we ate was delicious. We first started with the mini panzerottis which were piping hot when they came to the table. We then ordered a small thin crust pizza with sausage and pepperoni which was delicious. Then we saved room for dessert I got the Nutella cream puff which was delicious and my husband got the dessert was on special a limoncello tiramisu and my husband really enjoyed it. 5 stars is for the buffalo chicken club pizza! Easily my favorite version I've had. We usually get half without Gorgonzola since I don't love it but my husband does. Seems like a homemade ranch sauce that is delicious, quality chicken, bacon, onions and tomatoes. Still tastes awesome reheated the next day. The only other pizza we've tried there is pepperoni. That was alright. Plenty of cheese. I'd prefer more sauce but I can probably ask for extra. Just seemed to lack flavor overall. We go to Generoso's for more standard flavors and Pronto's for the buff chicken and other fun specialty pizzas. read more

Pronto's is a nice restaurant. However the Pizza is inconsistent and ranges from Good to very Bad. I have patronized them at their original as well as current location. I got a 1/2 sausage 1/2 pepperoni 18 inch pizza ... it was undercooked and the crust was gummy to the point that it adhered to the cardboard box. Well this was our first and last Prontos order. Ordered a med pizza, extra thin crust with sausage, onion, mushroom, spinach. We also ordered calamari and mushrooms. I was told it would be to us in 45 minutes...no, it was an hour and a half. If it's going to take that long just tell me that! Our pizza was luke warm. The calamari was chewy and disgusting and the mushrooms were cold...no warmth whatsoever. This was a $45 meal with tip. Not remotely worth it. Very disappointing! read more

I have been visiting Prontos since long before their current location. They appeared in Bloomongdale roughly around the same time as my arrival from NYC. For me their attraction was the thin crust pizza. In a land of deep dish, their thin crust was phenomenal. Later I started grabbing my wraps and salads there too, because the price was very competitive and the quality was heads above the corporate chains. Now they have a new location, a real dining room and a real bar. Staff is first rate, showing the commitment to quality and a strong connection to the local community. Today I did the fresh ravioli and a bruschetta because sometimes a man just needs balsamic and tomato. I like these guys, they are good and they care about the food. This review is based on their calamari. Just returned from there with a lunch take-out order. Was excited to have a place near my work for take out. My order was ready for me at the time they stated. My excitement was short lived though after tasting the calamari. The lemons and sauce were packed in with the calamari. The sauce (bland marinara?) spilled over half of the dish which was unfortunate because the sauce wasn't that good and I prefer tabasco. The lemons had lost all their juice probably from the heat of the dish. The calamari was soggy but not overcooked. All in all I think my $9 would have better spent elsewhere. We order home delivery often from here. We've never had any complaints over the quality of the food and we have tried most of it over time between my family. Over the past 6 months or so I am noticing changes I do not like.The food portions have been cut back & the prices went up. Those are usually signs of hard times with a business but also how you lose valuable customers. We now don't order as frequent as we did and looking for another place to be our favorite. read more

This is a review solely on delivery. Wow, this was a great stumble upon pizza place for me. I don't usually order pizza and if I do it's usually 1. Another person picking the place for me. 2. Deep dish so we stick to staples like Nancy's and Lou Malnati's out here in the 'burbs. I remember my father ordering a thin crust pizza from a small business that wrapped their pizza in bags instead of boxes. I forgot the name so using my trusty yelp, I tried to find out the place. Pronto's was nearby and had a ton of great reviews. I thought that this had to be the place... I was wrong, but never in my life was I so happy that I was. I ordered a thin crust and upon recommendation of yelper angelica r., I decided to order the calamari. Calamari from a pizza joint? I could only shudder to think of a pizza joint like Jan's Pizza having calamari on their menu. Being a calamari snob, I have to say that Pronto's does a really really nice job! Yeah, yeah, yeah enough about calamari - more about the pizza! The thin crust was definitely delicious. It's not as doughy as other places and doesn't bleed out with grease despite it containing 2 different types of meats. I don't think I order pizza frequently enough to adventurously try their signature pizzas, let alone the bbq pizzas. Still, this place is definitely a good place to grab a thin crust. read more

Maybe COVID had an affect on the business I believe. It's gone down hill something terribly. I'm sure the pizza crust was previously frozen which turned it to cardboard, "nuff said". The real problem is, when did this place turn into a white trash bar??? None of the staff seemed to give two squats about being there.
