I avoided this place after a scandal a couple of years ago but decided to finally give it a try today. It's pretty affordable to my surprise because of the prices in the city. The staff was friendly. The place is spacious. The food is alright. I tried the BBQ pizza, sausage rolll and Danny's pizza. The food wasn't anything extraordinary. I had a personal pepperoni pie and I was a little worried when I saw three stars on this place but it was absolutely phenomenal. The pizza sauce the crust all really flavorful. The place is really clean as well. The only thing that I would think would warrant a 3 star rating is the clientele. I have seen some of the mist interesting people while waiting for my food. Been going here for years but counter service is anything but Pronto. Went to pick up an order. The cashier started ringing me up for the purchase of a single pie. Then another customer, who had credit cards problems, returned. So I had to wait 5+ minutes as the other customer was allowed to try multiple credit cards, multiple attempts at cleaning their card, and other payment options. I was paying for a single pie with cash in hand and was already in line. This was on a Monday, so all the slowdown was with the counter service. Will not be returning until my time is respected and counter service is fixed. Manager in the back should pay attention and manage rather than stare blankly at the dough. I used to order a salad with grilled balsamic chicken. The last time I got a salad with a hunk of iceburg lettuce and it was a mess. I won't pay that kind of money for iceburg lettuce. She loves pepperoni. We took a walk here because it's not too far away. The young lady at the front taking the orders was very NASTY. I asked for a cup of ice and she acted as if she was doing me a favor. I asked for light sugar on my zeppoles and when I got to it was wrong. When I mentioned it she looked annoyed. Lapin and I came here because I have always been a fan of Pronto. This is one of their newer location so I was excited to try it. We ordered a large cheese pizza with breaded chicken with a couple of sodas. The women at the counter were rude and spent more time talking to each and playing on their phone that paying any attention to us. The pizza was fresh, hot and delicious. However, one of the employees (or owner) was having lunch with their wife and small child. They let the child run around the restaurant along with walking on the counters WITH THEIR SHOES ON. I cringed of the thought of how often they probably clean the counters because after the child left, they never did clean the counters. I picked up a chicken franchise slice pronto pizza on Bay Street. As I was eating it I noticed it tasted a little "funny" almost sour or stale. I began to inspect the slice only to find that were traces of mold on the back. The worst part was parts of the back appeared to be pinched out as if someone was intentionally trying to cover up the pizza going bad. This is my go to pizzeria - the prices are great, some in this area so so expensive for NO reason. Also love that their food & service/delivery is consistent! Some places you can order the same pie 3 times & get 3 diff pies. Pronto has consistency down to a T. Their pasta & dinners are always good, the salads are awesome, & last but not least - all the speciality pies are amazing!!! I'm so addicted to their Buffalo Chicken pan pie - it's sooooo amazing! I have eaten it so many times while pregnant (& way before) that the baby is going to come out addicted to it LOL! Also the Chicken Spinach Alfredo is amazing - it's so good. My husband loves it with bacon sub the spinach. Awesome! They are always polite, they don't mess up or forget stuff, the service & food are consistently great, the inside is very clean & nice for a pizzeria. They are always busy, so even if you stop in for a slice, it will most likely still be hot out the oven, not cold & solidified on display like majority of places. Also they have their own website (not a 3rd party) for online ordering - u get emails to update the orders status along the way, I love being able to view the menu & customize items to my liking as I order & get an email when it is out for delivery.
