There were numerous choices of entrees which included gluten free items for an aunt who has Celiac. They were prompt and polite and set up the food quickly and expertly. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful; more than enough food to feed the amount of guests contracted for. Not being from Jersey ourselves, we were concerned about the quality and quantity that would be provided. I remembered Jacques from when they were located in Brooklyn (many years ago) and recalled that they were well liked in my old Bensonhurst neighborhood: known for their delicious food. Based on the reviews, we decided to put our faith in them. We couldn't have been in better hands! Everyone was pleased with the taste and quality. As an Italian, food is very important at any celebration. Our experience was stress-free and everyone we dealt with at Jacques was professional and responsive. I would not hesitate to order from them in the future and in fact they will be the only caterers we use from now on!

Their salads are delightful, and they've got a wide selection of olives, stuffed peppers, soups and sides to go with their sandwiches. Ordering via DoorDash is of course an underwhelming experience even though Montalbano's has put effort into adding pictures and descriptions to their items -- it just doesn't compare to going to the counter, ordering, and then chilling in the store while the old Italian guys in the corner quietly (or not) conduct whatever business it is they're doing -- it's an authentic experience in this place ‍

From the moment I walked in to ask about the small room, they were welcoming, kind, easy-going and focused on making my event warm, wonderful & stress-free. I chose from a set of catering menu options, changed 1 item, added 2 others and it was all done without a blip. Even the cake was taken care of for me. Absolutely nothing slipped thru the cracks. Every need was anticipated & attended to. Management and Service were welcoming, pleasant and solicitous to every guest. Lunch was wonderful. The food truly was impeccable. Everyone raved. Salads were fresh, pasta was perfect, intermezzo was the requested pink and served with a flourish, adding to the fun. Everyone raved about the food. The entree choices of chicken, eggplant or salmon were all done to perfection. No one meal was best over another. Portions were generous.
