Jacques Caterers did an exceptional job catering my son's backyard engagement party. My son chose to go with the International Buffet for the occasion. There were numerous choices of entrees which included gluten free items for an aunt who has Celiac. They were prompt and polite and set up the food quickly and expertly. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful; more than enough food to feed the amount of guests contracted for. Not being from Jersey ourselves, we were concerned about the quality and quantity that would be provided. I remembered Jacques from when they were located in Brooklyn (many years ago) and recalled that they were well liked in my old Bensonhurst neighborhood: known for their delicious food. Based on the reviews, we decided to put our faith in them. We couldn't have been in better hands! Everyone was pleased with the taste and quality. As an Italian, food is very important at any celebration. Our experience was stress-free and everyone we dealt with at Jacques was professional and responsive. I would not hesitate to order from them in the future and in fact they will be the only caterers we use from now on! read more

We used Jacques for a backyard wedding in Skillman NJ in mid-September 2026. Jaques and particularly Lisa did an outstanding job. Lisa knows the business, helped us with countless details before the wedding and her and her staff never hesitated to jump in when the inevitable little glitches popped up during the event. The food and service was excellent and though we are done with weddings, we would not hesitate to use and recommend Jaques and Lisa for any event requiring catering. read more

Jacques Caterers is truly exceptional. They catered my daughter's wedding shower at 3BR Distillery, and everything was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They were referred to us by the venue, and now I understand why--they arrived fully prepared, set everything up seamlessly, and handled every detail with complete professionalism. The food was incredible--beautifully presented, delicious, and talked about all day long. I've used Jacques several times over the years for events in my home, and about 35 years ago they even catered my own engagement party! Their quality and consistency have remained unmatched. Many of my guests were so impressed that they ended up hiring Jacques for their own parties. I highly recommend Jacques Caterers. Their service, reliability, and outstanding food make every event memorable. A true gem in the catering world! read more

I reached out to Jacques catering for a quote and immediately received an email and call back from Cathy Groben who I believe is in charge of catering. I have a huge luau planned for July 26 and was already anxious about the details and organizing. I have to say that I was super impressed with Cathy and her communication with me. She helped me plan my menu and accommodated me in many ways. I haven't even tried their food yet but I will tell you that if its as good as the customer service is, it will also be amazing. I have referred Cathy directly to my neighbor who is also hosting a big event in August and she told me how great Cathy was as well. I wanted to thank you Cathy for your guidance and assistance in helping me plan my dream luau! I want to highly recommend Jacques to anyone who is interested in hosting an important event. Working with Jacques was a fantastic experience! We ordered the BBQ option for 60 people and our guests are still talking about it! Not sure what is in the delicious Mac & Cheese, but there was not even a scoop left! Candice did a great job with the setup...the food was steaming and ready when our event started! We could not have asked for more! Will recommend them over and over...and will use them in the future! read more

I attended a backyard party catered by this company. The Food LOOKED incredible but was pretty terrible. I don't know if it was overcooked, dried out or not heated enough (yes, each dish was one of the above). The chicken francise was tough and just not good quality chicken. The vodka sauce was a beautiful blush color but was flavorless and oily. The potatoes were partially raw. The salad dressing was pretty nasty. I filled up in eggplant parm that was the only decent thing on the buffet. My mother in law also said she was disappointed in the food. I looked on the website and it's a bargain for $15 a person for a catering package but I guess you get what you pay for. I feel bad leaving a poor review but I also feel bad for my inlaws who had guests leaving their home hungry because no one wanted the numerous trays of leftover food. read more

My family has been using Jacques for years and they have hit it out of the park every single time. We used them as recently as yesterday afternoon for my sisters bridal shower and cannot stop talking about the food. (This seems to be the pattern after every Jacques-catered event ) My personal favorites are the rice balls, penne vodka, and eggplant rollatini. When I tell you they are the best I've ever ever ever had, I'm not lying. Our guests are always raving about the food and my family and I are always fighting for the leftovers. Their staff is always prompt, efficient, and extremely friendly. I had the most pleasant conversations with Kathleen yesterday as she set up the food and was sure to accommodate whatever we needed. Will be using Jacques for many more milestones and celebratory events to come! read more

Great place awesome staff. Had them cater a party. Food was great. No complaints everyone loved the food.

Jacques catered my Christmas dinners for years. I remember relatives parties in Brooklyn 50 years ago. Their food is excellent.

The best! Jacques catered my cousin's home garden wedding and they did a phenomenal job! Post ceremony, we wandered into the kitchen where the staff was preparing for cocktail hour. The servers were super kind and very attentive. They remembered that I was a vegetarian and prepared a small plate of delectable bites! The chef was nice too. Everyone was kind, friendly, and served delicious food. The late night sandwiches was a perfect end to the evening! Thank you! read more

We had our Football and Cheer banquet at Jacques this past weekend. The food was amazing. The staff was incredible. Personal shout outs to Aimee, who is always delightful in arranging events and to Mary, our maitre d, who went above and beyond to be sure all was going perfectly. I recommend Jacques 100%. read more

A little disappointed with the "homemade vegetable lasagna" it is clearly Stouffers vegetable lasagna that they sliced 8 pieces of and put in a pan. If you're going to try to pass it off as homemade at least give the whole pan... the stuffed shells and chicken franchise however were good. Don't get me wrong stouffers lasagna is good but just be honest, we could've gotten it from the local shop rite. Also, the green beans almondine didn't have any almonds...I will say it was a really great deal though for all of the food received overall. read more

My hat is off to Lisa Tevis and the amazing staff at Jacques! They catered the locations for my company, at the very same time for a Charity Event and did a wonderful job! From the very beginning to the end, they were extremely patient and worked with my needs, adjusted accordingly on a very timely basis, served delicious food and provided service that was second to none! Simply put, the staff couldn't have been nicer to work with from the very beginning to the very end, and the servers made it extremely seamless! Again Lisa is an asset to Jacques and and the wonderful team she works with! read more

Jacques catered a surprise 60th birthday party for us and did an amazing job from start to finish! Maria helped coordinate our menu and was super quick to respond to every email or question I had. We had the event at a venue that wasn't affiliated with Jacques and the day of the event, unfortunately the coordinator for the venue (completely unrelated to Jacques) was not very helpful to the Jacques staff. There were two young girls from Jacques who had arrived at the time on our contract (I was not yet there) and the venue coordinator would not help them with anything. She wouldn't let them use anything in her kitchen or help set up. The two servers, Tamara and Raymond, showed up at the scheduled time and helped the two girls get everything ready. They kept us in the loop with every decision and change to the serving schedule. Everyone was so great! Even though the venue coordinator was not helpful to them at all, they never skipped a beat and just continued acting professionally and courteous. They even offered to help us set up our bar and tables when we were approaching the start time of the party and were just super helpful. As far as the food. Everything was delicious and everyone was raving all night about how great it was. We got SO much food for what we paid for, I was seriously impressed. Great job all around by Jacques and we will absolutely be using them in the future for events! read more

Lisa and the team at Jacques were truly amazing! She went above and beyond with her flexibility, kindness, and responsiveness to help us plan our micro wedding during these crazy times. Their set up crew was awesome and did an excellent job with the tent! Our wedding day was perfect and the food was delicious! read more

I can't speak for the catering hall but the outside catering leaves a lot to be desired. I've had it several times over the years and the food is mediocre at best. The pasta is so overcooked, you can use it for wallpaper glue. Shrimp cocktail obviously not fresh. Everything else is blah, which I could forgive if they just learned what al dente means. read more

The food was very good, however, the woman with whom I dealt and advised on how much food I would need was wayyyyyy off! She insisted I needed more food than I had requested and low and behold I was left with food that was UNTOUCHED even after sending family and friends home with a lot. It wasn't food that could be frozen (sandwiches) so it eventually had to be thrown away--what a waste of food and money! Disappointed that she insisted I needed more than requested and she was wrong. read more

We had a small party today for my daughters baby shower. Considering the times we are dealing with now Jacques did an amazing job. Every dish was outstanding and everything we needed was included. Everyone raved about the food. It was perfect! If i could I'd give them 10 stars! read more

My work used Jacques Catering for an event and I highly recommend. We use two caterers every year and I wish we could exclusively use Jacques because their quality and services is excellent and their prices always beat the other caterer we use. Thank you Jacques for coming through at the last minute! You skillfully saved our Thanksgiving dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful. Your simple re-heat directions were fool-proof and on point. I truly appreciate your reaching out and making things perfect for us. We attended the Santa brunch with our granddaughters. It was wonderful. The food was everything you could imagine, waffles, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, fruit, pastries, and even chicken fingers, fries and mac and cheese. It was amazing that the food stations were always well supplied. Your seat is reserved, no trying to find seating together. They played all sorts of games with the kids, it was a blast. Almost forgot to mention the main attraction, Santa was the best! It's a great memory for the kids and a fun time for all...would do it again. read more

A big thank you to the staff at Jacques Catering! My son Joseph had his First communion on May 12th. The food was great and there was even enough left over for Mother's day! I threw a surprise party for my dad, 50 people, in my backyard. We rented a 20x30 tent, tables, chairs, linens, the food, and got an attendant. All very resonably priced. Lisa did a superb job of making sure i did not over order, or under order. She was in no way pushy, did not upsell me at all, and was abundantly helpful. In fact, she rearranged parts of my order to SAVE me some money. My guests could not stop raving about the food, and as a host, Tamara, our attendant, was an absolute sweetheart, who went above and beyond to make sure I could actually ENJOY the party. Cleanup afterwards was at a bare minimum- I was so thrilled with Lisa's suggestion to have Tamara come help us out for the day, and I would highly recommend using Jacques catering for any occasion. Why you would ever use anyone else is beyond my comprehension! read more

I went to a fabulous Labor Day party this year. The venue was a friend's home (off premise), and I worried that it might make it more difficult for the caterer. Not so! Jacques Exclusive Caterers was more than ready for the challenge. The food was perfect, from the many passed hors d'oeuvres to the entrees. There was more than enough food choices to please the guests, and I overheard guests rave about the food all day. The staff was sensational, and the catering director was essentially the perfect combination of caterer and party planner. The attention to detail was meticulous. They took care of every aspect of the food and beverage, from the set up to cleanup. They were truly the best! read more
