Other shops make over-the-top sandwiches that are fun, others make too fancy sandwiches that leave you hungry. You leave Florentinos without a doubt of value and taste. Somehow I've gotten this far without mentioning their bread is incredible and is a key part, but sandwiches are stacked while stilling being enjoyable (sometimes people make large sandwiches you can't actually eat and lean too the "impressive but silly). I have not had their prepared takeout but that does look good, I've never needed to go past a selection of subs for the family. The bread was pretty much perfect, but the meat was all boars head- which is fine, but for a place called "Florentinos" with "pork store" on the sign, I expected some imported meat. That said, it would have been a 4, but they wrapped up a sloppy mess of a pickle in with my Italian sub. Not only did I not want that pickle, I really didn't want the side of the sandwich that got soggy with pickle juice. Cut that out. read more

My Father introduced me to this place when I was 12, being a very picky eater. I will be the one to tell you the classical Italian-American deli is still very alive here. I buy the same sandwich every Friday and its the best sandwich in the state when combined with that bread they got. If you want the best sandwich of your life, order a semolina sub with ham, capicola, salami, provolone, and their imported Prosciutto. I put a little pesto and mayo on there as well. read more

We recently used Florentinos to cater our daughters 2nd birthday party and boy did they do an amazing job! We got their BBQ and Phil was our master chef....he was early to arrive and set up. He was mindful of our backyard and was extremely tidy. Phil was very personable and made everyone feel comfortable. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Got to give them 5 stars was at a Memorial Day backyard party that the host still had in spite of a torrential downpour ( and good for him, was still a great party ) food was great and the polite , efficient young man doing the grill was able to churn out burgers any way you wanted them , in addition all the other food was terrific. My husband's retirement party was July 1, 2017 and I wanted to enjoy so decided to cater. I like what I saw from Florentino's web site but not from the area, took a gamble. They did not disappoint - to the contrary! I ordered for 30 but had 37 that came. Ordering and planning was a breeze with Dave, and he worked with me knowing this was a surprise. First, they arrived with perfect and arranged timing - first pleasant surprise! All was well organized with complete instructions. Next our server Amanda arrived - what a delight! Everyone enjoyed the food, there was ample food and to our delight, some left over ( yeah). I was extremely pleased and so were my guests - so much in regards to Amanda that all gave her a round of applause and with hopes, she had as much fun as we did! I had ordered a few trays of food for a catering party from Florentinos and my expectations were vastly exceeded, front to back. I first spoke to them in-store to get an idea of how much food I would need. I told them the amount of people I was having over and they were honest about how much food and supplies I should order. I never felt like I was being up-sold and I really appreciated the candor. They are experts in managing expectations for how much your guests will eat, which varieties of food to pick, what goes well with what, etc. They arrived early on the day of the party to set up chaffing equipment and were very polite and professional. When it came time to eat, all my guests raved about the quality and taste of the food. They know what they're doing. I felt like if my grandmother was Italian, this is what her food would taste like. Jokes aside - I couldn't have been more happy with the quality and value of the food as well as the seamlessness, ease, and convenience of ordering with them. As far as the storefront goes, my mother has shopped here ever since they opened decades ago and loves their cold cuts and salads. They have a great selection of cool specialty food items and make delicious sandwiches - great place to stop in for a bite! We recently hired the guys at Florentinos to do our BBQ. We had about 40 guests, but decided we would rather spend time with those guests than cooking all day. The service and food was unbelievable. The burgers were out of this world and the guys they sent over were friendly and professional. We weren't sure how it would be but are so glad we chose them to cater our event. This was the first time we hired them and will definitely be using them again in the future. Other than that we have been going here for a few years for cold cuts and sandwiches. I have never run out of food and always find the quality to be great! I love their brownies, chicken parmesan, chicken milenaise, penne vodka and sandwich platters. We ordered catering for my daughters christening and the food was nothing short of amazing. Eggplant parm, antipasto platter, chicken franchise, shrimp scampi over linguini and roast beef with gravy. People raved about the food the entire party! Gave four starts because the roast beef tray was inedible due to the amount of salt that they used while cooking it, no one was able to eat it and it was an expensive tray. They did not send enough food for a catering event and WE RAN OUT OF FOOD!!! So, I had an surprise 60th birthday party for my mom two weeks ago and chose Florentino's as the catering. They really screwed up. I opted to just order trays of food (they also offer a 'per person' full package which including a lot of things I didn't happen to need). Their menu states that a full tray feeds 18-20 people. I was having 40 adults and 11 kids at my party; I ordered nine full trays and one half tray. The person I place my order with assured me this was enough food, but said maybe I wanted to add bread/salad, and I told him I had that covered, because I did. Well, the food came and I'm told it was tasty-- there just wasn't enough of it! The trays were not full to the top and WE RAN OUT OF FOOD! I NEVER EVER HAD A PARTY WHERE WE RAN OUT OF FOOD! It was unbelievably embarrassing; we had to ORDER PIZZAS to make sure everyone was fed! When I told the restaurant what had happened, they were unapologetic and blamed ME for not having ordered enough food. Ummm.... 9 1/2 full trays for 40 adults/10 kids? According to THEIR menu stats, this was should have been TOO MUCH food! (which is what I had counted on; I'm Italian, we always plan for there to be leftovers.) Plus, the person I placed the order with KNEW how many people I was ordering for; if it wasn't accurate he should have told me. This is supposedly their area of expertise after all. This clearly would have been enough food if the trays had been as full as they should have been. I can't believe I spent $550 on food and had to order half a dozen pizzas in order to make sure everyone ate. SO I WOULD AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS. Oh, and at the party one of my friends said "Florentinos? Oh, we ordered some heroes from them once, but they were very stingy with the filling, we never used them again." My friend used Florentino's last year for her daughter's college graduation party, so I copied the idea beacuse it was wonderful. Dave and Lenny came through again. From the first phone call to the clean up it was all fabulous. We had a party with 58 guests, to include many 22y/o. There was plenty of food and all the guests raved! We even had leftovers. The BBQ food was amazing. "Chef Mike" was terrific and he was happy to cook some extra for my vegetarian guests. All I had to worry about were the drinks. They were fast, efficent and very pleasant.
