BRANCHES West Long Branch NJ I recently hosted my daughter's bridal shower at The Branches Catering, and to say it was awesome truly doesn't do this venue justice. From the very beginning, there were many emails back and forth with my questions, and Stacie, the banquet coordinator, was always incredibly patient, helpful, and understanding. She went above and beyond to accommodate every request and made the entire planning process easy and enjoyable. The staff was terrific from start to finish--professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. I chose a buffet because I feel it encourages guests to mingle and meet one another, and it worked out perfectly. From the passed hors d'oeuvres all the way through dessert, everything was flawless. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by all of our guests. The entire event exceeded my expectations, and I'm so grateful to the team for helping make my daughter's bridal shower such a memorable and special day. We had our wedding at Branches in August 2024 and must share that the service, food, attention to detail and flexibility with my requests were top notch. We don't recall asking for something that we were told, "sorry we can't do that". The Events Manager, Stacie, was super attentive, flexible and available daily, if needed. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a location that doesn't pass you around from person to person and keeps adding to the price for the tiniest of requests. Had my daughters communion there this weekend and all I gotta say is the renovation at this venue is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The food was absolutely phenomenal and the reviews from my guests were continuous about how much they loved it. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and the ham was life changing. They also catered to my gluten free guests as well. They place is huge and there is so much room for activities especially if you got kids running around. If you are planning a wedding, a birthday or a communion like me or anything that requires a hall then look no further. Branches is the way to go. Was here for an event that was thankfully for a good cause or I would have left. Ordered a coke and it was horrible. Tasted like you would imagine sewer water would. They served rolls (cold) that were tasteless. The salad was gross. Tomatoes with a slab of what I assume was mozzarella cheese and a balsamic glaze. Best part was the basil leaf. Dinner was some kind of beef (resembled Recipe dog food and that probably would have tasted better). Others ordered the chicken dish which also lined the trash can that evening. Even the coffee tasted burnt and there was no regular sugar in the sugar dish, only 4 different non sugars. The owner was walking around looking at people. I suggest instead he look for a better chef and have his bar staff clean the equipment before someone gets ill. read more

Visited Branches to celebrate a special even with my church. Nice sized venue that could comfortably seat 100-150 ppl. 5/5 stars for the staff who were very attentive to our needs. Menu: (I'm not sure of all their options, can only comment on what was served at our event) The salmon, penne vodka, string beans and chicken parm where very good. Food was served buffet style with servers. There is also a lot of parking in the rear if that is a concern for anyone. read more

I went here for a memorial brunch. 5 Stars on the service and staff. The food is another story. Other than the omelette station and veggies, the food was inedible. Their beef was so rough to chew. Their bacon was so tough to eat. Their chicken..holy...not good. It's a shame. It's a nice looking place that holds weddings and large events as well. read more

Her response was "I don't know what we are going to do, we may issue some refunds on Tuesday." However, she didn't take our name or information.... So how is she going to issue anything? I'm assuming that this is why they required you to prepay for brunch when you made your reservation... Also, half the lights were off and the blinds were drawn inside the dinning room and room where they served the food.... It was very dark and dreary with duct tape on many spots on the flood. Sad presentation. This was a complete flop and I will never return here for an event... read more

My wife and I attended a wedding here yesterday. It was an outdoor ceremony near a waterfall area that was a very nice setting. The cocktail hour had lots of different choices in two different rooms, they also had white glove service with hot appetizers. Everything I ate was very well prepared, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The only complaint I can think of was during the cocktail hour there wasn't enough seating for the entire guest list of 200+. read more

Branches has the best people working for them. BJ was our event planner and she was a treat to work. Always accommodating to our busy schedule and also looking out for ways to save money on the non essentials and focusing on the essentials. Then is Mike the Maitre'd on W day. He was very attentive to my bride and my needs, always making sure we are enjoying the night. And the rest of the staff: great, respectful, professional. Can't ask for any better. And then there's the food!. My wife and I are foodies. We did our tasting and we were impressed. When the time came to choose the entrees and ove'vours, we ventured out and picked some of options that were not part of the tasting and Branches did not disappointed. Ode'hours were too many to remember, but out entree were the Mojito Pork Tenderloin, Pistachio crusted salmon, Roasted Chicken Breast with fine herbs, and vegan napoleon. Our favorite was the Mojito Pork tenderloin and a favorite with our guests as well along with the Pistachio crusted salmon. I will strongly and wholeheartedly recommend Branches. read more

EXCELLENT PLACE... TO GET RIPPED OFF. Was patient enough waiting for a manager to do the right thing. 4 calls, every time; "be in in a few hours, be here tomorrow, be here for the weekend. Forget it. Branches served a Mother's Day brunch... their menu they posted on line looked like it would be good... except... YOU MUST HAVE WHAT YOU SAY YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE ON THE MENU! Half of the menu was missing. IF YOU CANT HAVE A SIMPLE TRAY OF SCRAMBLED EGGS OUT, YOU'RE DOING SOMETHING WRONG! The omelette station was packed deep with people and was on average a 30 minute wait with 4 pans going. One guy just can't keep up. How do you not have a toaster for the sorry basket of bread and bagels that was on display? My wife said the Bread and bagel were stale. No syrup on display for the French toast; just a waiter walking around pouring it for the guests... just leave it on the table. The food was tasteless or salted to the max. All the food had to have been from Restaurant Depot, nicely frozen, nuked, and served on a Sterno. Not a thing along that entire food line was fresh, except for the shrimp and the omelettes... everything else was a Walmart special. At $52.00/pp I'd expect it to be much better. I shared my complaint with the Manager. Now she was very nice. Came to the table personally, apologized, opened the bar (which should have been open to begin with), and offered to pay for a round of drinks and would discuss some sort of refund. Great! That's customer service and would have been the savior to the ordeal. Wait staff was excellent and was patient with all of the tables with the same complaints as we had. Until I talked to the "Assistant manager" and her crony before I walked out, I was ok with the mess. Maybe something got messed up and communication broke down. Fine. It happens. The GM smoothed it out, now I want to see where we go from here. Speaking to the assistant, she didn't have much to say. Just, "we will be issuing refunds on Tuesday after we review." I was asking if they needed to take my name down... the side kick pipes up and says, "drinks were offered and you ate. What more do you want?" WOW! If it wasn't for Mother's Day, that little brat would be looking for a new job! People paid $52 a head to get food that you can get a Perkins! She must have figured her salty tone and straight up rude manner was a tip to the guests; just sit, eat, and now GTFO of here! I paid a 20% premium to go to branches for brunch. I could have gone to Battleground Country Club for $38/pp, Jumping Brook Country Club for $35/pp, or to Salt Creek grill and paid a la carte and have a view to boot! No way, that's how you want to treat locals, paying premium on a meal with the view of either drapes or the Shoprite? I've been to two weddings there in the past and both were good. Now? I just took it off my list of venues for my parents anniversary. I'll take my $20k somewhere else. And another thing... don't open your place up boasting about fresh renovations. Laminate 5mm flooring and silver duct tape to keep the T seams down in every entry way is not a good look... anywhere! read more

Very disappointed with this year's Easter Brunch. The food was mediocre compared to previous years. My biggest complaint was where my daughter and I were seated. Our table was nestled in a corner within 5 ft. of a staged area for dirty dishes, an exit door and the kitchen doors. I requested the dirty dishes be removed and the server was very kind in doing that. It wasn't until I returned to my table to begin eating that I noticed the constant flow of servers, with the swinging doors of the kitchen opening and closing giving full view of the kitchen. At one point a tray of dishes/glassware was dropped and broken glass went flying all over. The kitchen door remained open where my line of view while eating was a red tile kitchen floor with broken glass, counters, and servers hustling about. This was not an appealing area of the otherwise eloquent dining room I had enjoyed in the past. We quickly ate and left after 45 mins. At $52.00 pp I will be hard pressed to reserve there in the future. read more

Outstanding caterers. We have been to several events here. Food is great. Particularly the italian items. Very nice outdoor garden available for cocktsil hour. The banquet rooms and rest rooms clean and beautifully maintained. Excellent bar service. Plenty of parking. You really cant do any better than this. read more

Just attended a company meeting here. Never have I ever been so disappointed with catered food, and I attend a lot of these things. It was really bad... Wonder bread with cheap turkey and ham, a little pasta, plain lettuce as salad, and soup (the only decent thing here, and I'm sure it came in frozen). Really, no meat (other than lunchmeat) or cheese or fruit or decent bread? Cant you have tried a LITTLE bit harder? Also, the place was FREEZING. We sat in there for hours shivering through our meeting. Kept going outside to warm up. Food is a fail - but for decor, the place gets 2 stars. Its typical Jersey-wedding-factory style but its somewhat modern and its clean. read more

Went there for a wedding recently. Disappointed that they only had a rather dry Zinfandel as their only choice for sweet wine. Got another drink which had fruit flies in it, so did someone else's. They were polite and fixed it of course. Recently had redone their floors and were not completely finished in time. Areas of the floor had duck tape on them. Other than that, reception area over all was pretty. Very nice table settings. Salads were already plated and dressed, seemed very soggy and limp. Also surprised that they went ahead and served an all Romaine salad with the huge recent recall, seems risky. Dinner was a buffet, the mashed potatoes were bland, and clearly instant. The chicken franchise was tender but flavorless. The beef medallions in sauce were chewy, mine had quite a bit of fat, and also extremely bland. Servers also cleared plates while people were still eating. Felt very rushed. Also felt rushed at the end of the evening. The servers who were clearing off tables in such a manner that it really felt like we were being pushed out the door. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Branches was chosen for my daughters school prom. This was the second year in a row. The floor cracked and gave way and they could not dance in the room. This happened last year as well. How is this possible twice? Obviously over capacity, but no one thought about that when sold tickets at close to $100 each. Food was also terrible. Went to their Mother's Day brunch. Service was chaotic at best. Food was very average. Roast beef tough and well done, fish tasteless and not many choices. Plates were saucer size for appetizers and desserts. No overeating here because you get tired of the number of trips needed due to the plate sizes. I had to wait for some iced tea to be brewed. General layout of tables and food made no sense. Talked with the general manager who said he was glad for input and would refund some of our expense. Have yet to see anything. My mother-in-law basically ate nothing more than an omelet. $39 for an omelet is very expensive. I would not recommend this place for any function. read more

We had a bruch, and the food was fresh and delicious. Many of my guests went back for seconds. The room was clean, bright and set up just as I asked. Great service and staff.
