They carefully had to reset all the paver bluestone slabs and then reset the steps leading up to the entrance gate. After setting everything in place they used this special grouting material that hardened like concrete and almost matches the bluestone. The job came out so beautiful that we now have to do the other much larger entranceway by demand of the unit owners who are saying how it looks ugly compared to the newly restored area. Like I said earlier they have done a lot of work for us and never a problem. Their work is always done on time if not before the given time. Scheduling was not a smooth process, however, and more than a week after they were contacted, we still had not been given an appointment. We contacted Nick at Colonna Consulting and easily scheduled a date for the assessment. We were also finally given a date by the first company, which was one day earlier than Nick's schedule. Their contract stated that reports were usually ready in 2-3 days, but that this was not guaranteed. Nick told us we could have a report the same day and that he would work on the architectural drawing over the weekend (appointment was on a Friday afternoon) if we needed one. We are very happy that we decided to go with Colonna Consulting. Nick arrived on time for our appointment. He was very professional and spent more time than we expected explaining what he found and the appropriate remedy. He was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. We did need an architectural drawing, which was completed over the weekend and sent by email on Monday. He sent the original directly to our contractor for submission with the permit application. The one I contacted was much closer to our house and the owner, Steve, came out the next day to look at the job and give us an estimate. When I repeatedly called back (since there was no further contact from them) I was told that actually the 20% was already included in quote. Obviously a scam coupon. Twice the salesperson Walt made appointments to come back to house to discuss and twice he did not show up at all after we stayed home for him to arrive for his confirmed appointment. About a week after his second "no show" he called to set up another appointment - not wasting my time. Poor customer service- based on this I cannot imagine how bad installation would be.
