Our help fell through on 7am Sunday morning and we knew we needed extra hands especially for the heavy stuff. Alex, hears us out, of course already booked with repeat clients and if you saw him/them move you would completely understand why. But he tells us if we can wait for him to finish his 2 moves, him and a friend will come help us out around 2 something. Ok. So we do what we can until they arrive. 2:30pm comes and to his word, Alex and Hugo show up. So Nice- and think about it- up early, 2 moves, end of July almost 100 degrees, with crazy humidity- and they were NICE! AND Showed up ready to get going! They wasted no time! Immediately they assessed the state of things with us, asked all the right questions and got right to work. I mean this when I say it, you get your money's worth & more! They can definitely charge more but I'm grateful they charged fair. They are quick, clean, skilled & professional as they worked together in such a fluid impressive way. They were PATIENT as I made requests and gave directions. They were kind, understanding, funny and compassionate. Easy to get ahold of and responsive. When I needed to know someone had our back, he answered texts in real time giving us the peace mind that we needed. I think they sublet other companies. I was billed in the end for more than 10k. I felt totally ripped off by this company! The men worked hard. But I was just charged for everything. I didn't have it all packed. I was packing with a cleaning girl twice a week. It was not enough help for all I had. So I had their men packing. Throwing stuff in the box as fast as they could! My mattress had black steaks at the side from the filthy Budget truck. A hole in the bottom of my mattress. My furniture was deeply scratched up on the legs. I had heavy furniture that had to go up a flight of stairs. Their manager kept calling, an Indian woman, who was very pushy. I don't like that! I had to keep a few things in the truck for 10 days I was charged $99 a day for that storage in the dirty Budget truck! I had them in there for 10 days until I could get my stuff that they plopped boxes full in one room our Living Room! Boxes piled so high, I couldn't reach them. I hired a cleaning crew to help me. They were daunted by the boxes piled high and wanted to leave. Probably the cleaning company they worked for did not pay them enough. I begged them to stay and help. Cost me $1,800.00 and tipped all of them. I still have boxes in the bedrooms but at least I can manage them. When the Tri State crew came, they were actually surprised the boxes were gone! They knew no one could do that by themselves the way they were stacked! They were labeled by rooms by myself and my one helper. They're where they are supposed to be as they said Bedroom on the boxes. I moved from Garden City to Glen Cove. 10 miles apart and a bill for over 10k It was the worst nightmare of a move ever. If I was short on boxes they used theirs and charged $20 over the price I paid. I don't know how we will recoup after so much money spent on this move! We moved here because we needed to live on our pension and Soc Sec. we're retired. Could not afford the house in GC anymore! So basically we were ripped off!

Once they gave me the final qoute, I about had a heart attack. They "quoted" me 1800 (estimate I get it). There was a issue with my closing so they had to store my good. Again, no problem. They told me additional to the move they were going to charge me $225 per day for 1st 2(or 3)days then the very reasonable $210 for an additional week. Great! Now they said my items went over on the estimate. Again, no problem. It was like an additional 1k. Fine. So boom. Original estimate 1700-1800, plus 1,000 (lil more but whatever) plus 225+225+225+210. Now let's do some math... 3700. Still a lot of money.....so the actual bill came to just under $6,700. They claimed they charged for moving my stuff from truck to storage. Was never told that at all... That doing the storage is literally a 3rd move at full cost. Never was I told that. I can't believe a company like this isn't out of business. I'm posting this review WHERE EVER I CAN. Save someone the ache! Wouldn't recommend to my WORST ENEMY!
