I had the car towed to the dealership, where I was told that I needed to file a claim with my insurance company and that it was going to be very expensive and time consuming to fix the issue. To cut a long story short, I decided to do an online such for a mechanic. The angels guided me to Jeremy, the owner of SLB automotive. Jeremy gave me peace by explaining what needed to be done to remove the diesel. I had my car towed to his shop and within less than 2 hours, he had my car fixed at a very good price. If you are lucky to find Jeremy, he is a keeper. I highly recommend his services, and I am so grateful to him. In encountering Jeremy, I believe that Kindness still exist in our world

Lots of classic cars in various stages of restoration. Intelligent, fair, patient, and jovial, Jeremy took the time to talk with me about my vehicle, was honest about work he's done and never done, and is interest and engagement in all classic cars is evident and infectious. His price was more than fair, and his work was finished ahead of deadline. I certainly WILL be back for more work on my baby.

I stopped into this shop after my MAINT REQU light came on in my Corolla. As I am driving 500+ miles back to St. Louis today I was concerned that this could be a hold up. I was greeted by a friendly woman (who's name I unfortunately do not know) who immediately walked out to my car and explained that my mechanic back home had likely just forgotten to do a reset. She did it for me super quickly and handed back the key. I was so grateful (and relieved). I offered a tip but she wouldn't take it so this review is the best I can do.

Now mind you, if you ask these guys to give your vehicle a look over, they will do that for you and let you know everything that they find. These guys stay busy but they are quick. This would be a place where you can drop your vehicle off and come back to get it the same day, as long as you drop it off early in the morning of course. Prices: Prices range depending on what you need to have done. They will give you fair prices for parts they have to order for you without charging you an additional $100 or so just for profit. There are many establishments that will do that to you. If you like, you can go to Auto Zone or wherever to buy your own part and have them install it. Depending on what you get Advance Auto or Auto Zone will give you a warranty but these guys can't give you a warranty if they didn't order it. This is my go to place for things I may need in the future (knock on wood).

I had to get my car fixed ASAP. I couldn't pass my emissions test and my tag was expired. My other mechanic thought it was my charcoal canister which is an expensive piece to replace. So I decided to get a second opinion. I went to Payless and explained the situation to Desmond the owner. He was able to diagnoses the problem. It was not the canister but two much less expensive parts. He quoted me a price that was half the other price including labor. They were also very fast. I dropped my car off at around 9:30am and it was done a little after 1:00. I really appreciated that he respected my time and didn't wait until the almost closing time to get my car done or let me know it was done. I was also surprised when I learned he did my new emissions test so I could get my new tag right away. I highly recommend Desmond and Payless Auto Repair quality work. I still like my other mechanic but now I'm happy to have two mechanics I can rely on who are professional and honest with their work.
