The correct process was not explained to me. By the time I had decided to reach back out to them because I got an email stating there are job openings and they'd like to get in touch, the second person Nikki Howard insinuated that I intentionally skipped the process and gave me "a second chance". But a second chance for what? I was not given any information on how the process goes. A staffing company is supposed to help people land jobs. And honestly, they get a cut if someone gets hired. Something I am NOT okay with. I was told to start immediately in the office and therefore was only able to give a one-week's notice, but I figured it would be okay because the money I would be earning was much MUCH needed. I was laid off after ONE MONTH with NO severance, no notice, and no full explanation. Denise Denkins (hope I am spelling her name right) is from the Alpha/Preston location but subbing in for someone, made the orientation a joyful experience. Her awesome personality kept me focused on what the Workforce solutions has to offer for those of us looking for employment. A lot of items are free and that's a huge plus for those who are struggling to make ends meet with no steady income. Resume builder, setting up Linkedin profiles, and even computer basic classes are among the awesome features the workforce solution has to offer.
