Everything, I've applied for this company (Irving location) hoping to receive information about a job or someone who's hiring, even a temporary position. I have not heard back from them or the corporate office, in which I was referred to due to the amount I was requesting. I lowered my expectations to fit in with what they had to offer, asked what did I need to do on my behalf and the young lady I spoke with continued to read me my information as if she had no answer. we went in circles for several minutes before I asked would it be better if I went to a different location. She stated I didn't complete the typing portion of the assignment sent. And that was why nobody reached out. Sadly . I then completed the typing, but before getting off the phone I received 3 text messages about 3 positions I had applied for saying someone will contact me.. and I heard ntn back and it's now been over a month. If you're looking for a job, I wouldn't recommend this location or company to anyone who is need for a position or job. BEWARE Let's be brutally honest and advise if you are looking for employment to avoid this location. If you want to be spoken to like a child (condescending) speak to JAMIE . If you apply to a job that she is in charge of... do not expect to get on. She literally only places people she recruits or has worked with. When she calls to interview you... wow talk about condescending and her tone is often aggressive. She has been with this organization for many years and does as she pleases. The chances of her ever being held accountable is beyond never. She is super rude over the phone and in person made me feel uncomfortable. Who speaks about or cracks jokes about other applicants while other applicants or employees are trying to get paperwork done. I mean like literally making fun of one at the end of a phone call and talking about another's attire. Not to mention the office conversation was highly inappropriate. THIS COMPANY WILL MARK YOUR FILE NOT ELIGIBLE WITHOUT TELLING YOU. If you have a different opinion or don't check in like a criminal they will DNU your file. If you keep calling and getting nowhere... know that they are not working with you. They will tell you you can appeal but it's all bogus. This staff with the exception of the 2 young ladies who work in this office are stuck up, unprofessional, inappropriate and snobbish. I mean Jamie walked around with no shoes on... They also do not work with records! There are clear additional workplace violations that happen and eventually that will all make its way to corporate. Best thing that could have ever happened was for me to walk away. I was beyond blessed to gain way better employment! I recommend using any other agency or even other Cornerstones agency as long as this lady and others are there! Cornerstone do not ask me about this review.... Don't put on a good show to the public when you know damn well what she does. I will let the next chapter of my life ensure that these behaviors are changed in workplace settings like this. Avoid this place at all costs. Worst experience with a staffing agency I have ever had. If you have below average expectations and are looking for below average work then this is the place for you. If you are looking for a staffing agency that is working hard to find you a real career then look elsewhere. I applied for a couple jobs on their website that were supposed to be direct hire jobs. They contacted me and asked me to come in for an interview. I currently live in Austin so I had to take a day off from work, leave Austin at 4:30am to be there at 9am. They would not allow me to come in any later in the day for the interview. They did not explain that the interview process is basically a 3 hour computer test that I could have completed at home over the internet. After completing the test they went over my resume and asked a couple questions to clarify what I did on my previous jobs. Then came the spill about temporary assignments and how I should report hours to them, call in for availablity, etc. I had to rexplain that I had applied on 2-3 direct hire jobs so I could relocate my family. At this point the employee said, "I wouldn't relocate my family based on one of our jobs." I was floored after hearing that. She then told me to log into their site and apply for any position I qualify for and give them a call. I found 3 more jobs I qualified for, each direct hire positions. I called in to speak to the staffing agent and the receptionist kept saying she was unavailable. I called numberous times and the agent would not return my calls. Finally the receptionist said they will review your application and get back to you. I am a professional tax auditor with 4.5 years experience auditing and you will "get back with me?" In summary, I took off a day from work which cost me $150 in lost wages, gas to drive back and forth to dallas $60, a hotel room $80, all to take a 3 hour computer test and be talked to like an idiot. This agency will be your best friend until they get your name and resume into their database. After that they couldn't care less about you or your career. read more

This location currently posted a job fair on craigslist.com, so I called to find out what I needed to bring with me. I bring everything they asked me too, and after being there and filling out paper work and sitting for roughly 5 mins, in a very closed area. I was called out thinking I was gunna be interviewed , I was basically told than since I havent worked in so long , that me finding a job was gunna be almost impossible. I don't think because I havent worked in so long should affect me getting a job. (I havent worked since April of 2010, due to problems in pregnancy and my a husband felt it was best if i stayed home with the kids until they were is school and I could go back to work) I felt it was very rude for someone to say that when I was coming to them for help looking for a job. I thought places like this were supposed to help you not tell you basically your not gunna find a job cause you havent worked in so long. I have taking online classes thru Kaplan University, and I did attend classes to become a CNA. I hope this helps the next person out or if someone is in the same boat to as me, dont waste your time going here or gas for that matter. read more

This is about the office in Irving, TX My attempt to be placed in a position by Cornerstone Staffing in Irving, TX, was the worst experience I have ever had in such firms. I found a job online through a job website that reposted the position from Cornerstone Staffing (CS.) The listing said to go to the CS website and fill out their surveys there which took all your work experience and attachments. The posting also said to show up at CS offices at 9AM sharp between Monday through Thursday. So I did what I was supposed to. Thinking that the posted hours to show up at CS were for this position, I called as I was running late and I was told that wouldn't be a problem. Turns out there was nothing to worry about since close to 20 people, sort of cattle to them, were placed in a room smaller than most doctor's waiting rooms - with a radio. I presume the radio was there to keep us awake and to placate any sense of being treated like a steer. (Would have been nice to have had something to read.) Though I showed up at 9:30AM instead of 10AM sharp, a woman in the room who showed up at 9AM still waited two hours to see someone - as was the case with myself. While I waited I got to fill out a smaller version of the on-line questions. Turns out the staff had issues with me since I had been self-employed for the past 10 years and weren't sure what to do since there was no supervisor to call for employment verification. I suppose already sending my resumé to them meant nothing because anyone would see these were my businesses. They also wanted a hard copy of the resumé as well which means they don't appear to have access to their online submission forms. So I was told I had to prove to them I owned the three businesses I had listed before recommending me to the job I was responding to in the first place. My CS consultant didn't seem to know much about the job. I suggested she look at my website and the client see it as well so they could see I wasn't lying. She thought that was funny. (The position dealt with turning Excel data into editable PDF and MS Office applications for presentations - not a run of the mill skill set.) After sitting there for two hours, I was told to go home, look for my taxes and business licenses and send them to her. She said the client would need to see them. That, of course, was a total fabrication, since she never picked up a phone or tapped an email to the client to see if that was the case. This is something someone from the CS office should have let me know before I went there if they saw my resumé. I sat there for two hours to be told to get more information to prove I was not a liar. This is information I could have brought with me if CS had the decency to treat their applicants with respect and individual attention unlike the dregs of society begging for table scraps. Well paying job or not, if a staffing agency shows such disrespect to you as to illuminate any sense of worth they feel you deserve, don't use them. Oh, and she never gave me any information about Cornerstone Staffing - nothing about why you should work with them instead of other firms. Aviod This Agency If you are looking for a job avoid this location in Grand Prairie. Waited for over an hour no one ever spoke with me except the receptionist who told me to go sit in this little room to wait to be called along with a room full of people. They tell you to be there by 9am no later than 11am, they have a sign up in the little room that says that you are not called according to what time you arrive, what, really? Very unpleasant, unprofessional, and just rude. If the are this disorganized who would want to work for them. Awful experience. read more

Do not waste your time with this awful place. All you have to do is read the reviews. I went in after they called me for an appointment. I arrived promptly at 9 am and filled out a paper then proceeded to sit in a small conference room with a ton of people and wait for over FOUR hours. I spoke with a lady named Rebecca finally after the extremely long wait. It has been over four weeks and I haven't heard anything from Cornerstone. Not even an email. It's a horrible scam. read more
