After my Facebook feed started to fill up with images of the food and glowing reviews, I decided to…read morestop by after my haircut at Founding Fathers. I'm very glad I did. This is, by far, the best food truck in this area and one of the better food trucks eaten at in general. The menu is sizable, but mostly uses the same proteins in different dishes which a big plus in my opinion. All the benefits of the care and attention of a small menu with the variety of a big menu. I ordered The Toucan Burrito (a shrimp burrito). First of all, ordering seafood in Prescott is a bold move (feel free to validate my bravery). The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was lacking the usual landlocked fishy taste. What really got me about the burrito was that it was grilled with a cheese crisp on the side. Incredible. Not just because the taste and texture was phenomenal, but that attention to detail blew me away. Finding food like this in this area has proven to be an often disappointing challenge. So much so that it's surprising when I do come across it. Price is reasonable but on the higher end for this area. I think it's justified and would gladly pay it again. Thank you for bringing innovative, fun, and tasty food to this area. I'm glad I can add to the growing collection of positive reviews. I'll be back soon.

I am so lucky that I chose Legacy, They are right there for me if I have any problems and come out to check thing that I have questions about they took care of problems that were left by the gutter contractor. Legacy Roofing installed the roof on my home for the previous owner following a severe hailstorm on…read moreJuly 17, 2017, when golf-ball-sized hail damaged roofs throughout the area. I know that Legacy performed the work because the previous owner was an American Family Insurance agent who regularly recommended Legacy to clients dealing with storm damage and chose the company to replace his own roof. The prior owner remembers the hail-storm because in all his years as an agent it was one of the most catastrophic storm damages that he had to deal with both personally and professionally. Nine years later, I experienced nearly 100 shingles coming off my roof during winds of approximately 40 mph, followed by water leaking into my home. Properly installed shingle roofs should not be damaged by 40 plus mph winds. After examining the shingles and discussing the situation with a representative associated with Legacy who is a former owner of the company, I learned that the shingles had been improperly nailed. The nails were placed too high, outside the designated fastening area--a condition known as high nailing. The former owner and two other roofing contractors who inspected the roof agreed that high nailing was present. Improper nail placement can significantly reduce a shingle's resistance to wind and increase the risk of shingles lifting or blowing off. We also identified a serious concern with the underlayment installation. The underlayment appears to have been installed correctly until the final course below the roof ridgeline, where the installation was not overlapped like the prior courses and allowed water to reach the roof decking and enter my home. These are not minor cosmetic issues. The combination of improperly nailed shingles and defective underlayment raises serious concerns about the quality of the original installation. The two independent roofing contractors I contacted have recommended replacing the entire roof because the high-nailing issue appears to extend throughout it. A roof should protect a home for many years, not leave its owner facing extensive shingle loss, leaks, and the expense of premature replacement. My roof is a ticking time bomb. I contacted the current owners of Legacy and offered a reasonable compromise. I was willing to contribute $2,500 toward the labor costs and pay $3,000 to have my solar panels removed and reinstalled. All I asked Legacy to contribute was the cost of the replacement shingles. In other words, I offered to cover the estimated labor and solar expenses rather than ask the company to pay for the entire replacement. Legacy declined, stating that it could not establish that the company had installed my roof because it could not locate the original records. This explanation is especially frustrating because I contacted Legacy in 2024 to obtain an estimate for replacing my skylights and specifically asked whether the original roof installation paperwork was available. I was told that the records were in storage and could not readily be located. At the time, I had no reason to believe that changes in company ownership were relevant to the missing paperwork. Legacy has been bought and sold several times since 2017. I understand that Legacy's current ownership may not have been involved when the roof was installed. However, from a homeowner's perspective, the inability to locate historical records does not resolve the concerns about the workmanship or the damage that has occurred. I believe the company had an opportunity to work toward a fair resolution but chose not to do so. From their perspective since they know I am the second owner and do not have the original paperwork, they are not highly motivated to locate the original paperwork. I am a homeowner, small business owner and contractor, and I understand how important a company's reputation is. I also understand that problems can occur in any business. What matters is how a company responds when credible concerns are raised and a customer makes a good-faith effort to find a reasonable solution. I am sharing my experience, along with photographs documenting the damage and the shingles' nail placement, so prospective customers can make an informed decision. You can see in the pictures where the blue arrows point to where the underlayment stopped and allow for water to go into the decking and then the house. The blue line shows where the shingle is supposed to be nailed and you can see the nail holes above it. I encourage anyone considering Legacy Roofing to ask about installation standards, quality control, record retention, and how the company handles workmanship concerns that arise after a job is completed. The are still struggling with management issues and turnover. Beware

After gifting our son our faithful 9 year old Subaru Forester with 120,000 miles, my wife and I…read morerecently found ourselves in the market for another car. Despite a good history with our previous Subaru, we expanded our search to include similar vehicles including the Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX50 and Honda CR-V. We began our search looking for a late model used car but also considered new vehicles. After many hours of internet research and multiple trips to local dealers, we settled on the Forester and the Rav4 as the best choices to suit our needs. We usually make every attempt to shop locally whenever possible, so we started with Findlay Subaru Prescott and were helped by Gabe Maciel. Gabe was the consummate professional, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, informative, and was never in any way "pushy" in the way that car sales people can be. He was happy to show us anything we wanted without complaint or impatience. Our relationship with Gabe continued over the course of several days because we were also looking at other cars at other dealerships. Gabe was always professional, patient and customer service focused. Although we did not travel to Phoenix, we did shop the Phoenix market online for target vehicles, and we had a few conversations with sales people concerning pricing and availability of potential cars. Furthermore, a friend had just days before our purchase, traveled to Phoenix to purchase a similar make and model as our target vehicle. With his purchase information in hand, I felt I had good inside information as to Phoenix pricing. Ultimately, we decided to pursue the purchase of a new Subaru Forester at Findlay Subaru Prescott if we could secure a fair deal. Initially, the car we were most interested in, was missing a feature we considered essential, so we left the dealership and went home to continue our online search. Almost as soon as we walked in the door, John Ward the Findlay sales manager called and assured us that he could easily install the feature we wanted and sell the car to us at a price we would find competitive. He impressed upon us his desire to sell us the car and keep the sale local if at all possible. He assured us that he wanted the sale and would do all he could to sell us the car at a fair price. We agreed to return to the lot for further conversation. The next step in the process is the one I do not like, negotiating the deal in a salesman's office. I was expecting a stressful hour of high pressure sales tactics but was instead offered the car that we wanted, with the desired option installed by Findlay, at a significant discount from MSRP. Mr. Ward was very "matter of fact", professional, friendly and polite. There was still a little "back and forth" negotiation which was a little stressful but in the end we ended very close to his original discounted offer. What usually transpires next is another stressful experience with the "Finance Guy" in the back office, which is usually an opportunity for the dealer to sell you a host of other things you probably don't need. Instead we met met Mr. Pauly Meyers who was the most unassuming and low pressure "Finance Guy" I have ever dealt with at a car dealership. He did offer us a whole host of things to buy for our new car, and was happy to explain in detail any of them, but Mr. Meyers did not pressure us in any way to buy anything else for our car. He was as personable, friendly and professional as the rest of the team at Findlay Subaru. It's difficult to accurately evaluate different deals from different dealers, so therefore difficult to compare my deal with the one my friend received from the Phoenix dealer, but I believe them to be comparable. Some car dealers sell a car at an attractive price but then tack on fees for dealer installed options you don't want (that they almost will never remove), all sorts of things sold by the finance team in the back office, and sky high loans offers and insurance. It's nearly impossible to compare deals between different dealerships and different buyers. In the end it comes down to the attitude and personality of the dealership. If the dealer you visit is laser focused on making a sale, takes every opportunity to sell you a car jacked up with all kinds of stuff you don't really want, constantly badgers you for the sale, constantly sends you endless texts, email or phone calls, be careful! You are dealing with people who have ONLY THEIR best interest front and foremost in their mind. Other dealerships are happy allowing YOU to decide what you want and need, happy to provide information when YOU ask, happy to provide test drives when YOU are ready, happy to sell you what YOU want, and when YOU want it. To me, that is the mark of a well managed, professional dealership. Findlay Subaru Prescott is that sort of dealer, they provide you with the service and information so you can decide what is best for YOU and YOUR family. Thank you Gabe, John and Pauly
