Brighten did our lights last year and we had zero complaints. This year, October 2025, they reached…read moreout proactively to see if we would like to have them installed for Christmas season again. We confirmed and they committed. Because of this, we didn't look into other options. My husband has consistently followed-up 3-4 times since they reached out in October so we could see when we'd be on the schedule. Today, I'm sure because of my husband's follow-up, we received an email saying they won't be able to install this year due to staffing issues. I understand staffing issues and they are Christmas lights- not the end of the world- I'm disappointed about the lack of communication and the fact they waited too long to tell us. I'm convinced they only told us because my husband kept reaching out. There is no way I can find someone now that it's the middle of November. I believe in excellent customer service and effective communication- this situation failed in both areas. Super big bummer for us but most importantly- I hope this helps someone else think twice before committing to work with them.

After the long year, I decided to treat myself to professional holiday light installation…read more BriteNites is a long beloved and established company in my area. With stunning displays, I admire each year. I knew this was the company I would trust to make my light dreams come true. Consistent with this last year, and due to supply challenge issues, the initial instal didn't go perfectly. That being said, the customer service team was available and responsive. The real bright light shined from the owner, Dean. Who promptly arrived at my house to better understand the opportunity for improvement and offer solutions. Did I mention Dean brought Ritual chocolate? As this is the busy season for BriteNites, I was grateful they haven't forgotten their small individual client base. As Dean promised, new lights were sourced and installed. My house looks festive and I am enjoying my purchase. Thank you to BriteNites for helping bring my holiday wishing to fruition.

They came out a couple of times to try and fix. It worked temporarily. Now my lights have not worked AT ALL for about 3 years. Called them again and was told they dont support the older ones and I would need to replace. They were happy to take $4k from me the first time and now want me to do it again. No thank you. I will shop elsewhere.

Update - June 11, 2026…read more Leaving my original review below for reference, but I have to say that I think the company is coming back on track. They contacted me last week and we set up the appointment which occurred yesterday. Lights are fully functional and they replaced the transformer with an updated version. Everything is operational and back to how it should be. Hopefully for those of you waiting, service can be performed sooner rather than later. Updating my review back to five stars. Hopefully it holds as long as service and warranty support are operational. Installed lights about two years ago. From the very beginning, issues with synchronizing lights, using phone and app. Several months later ultimately identified as the control box which needed to be replaced. The service manager for my area was fantastic. Admitted to me that multiple sections of the lights were installed incorrectly, but luckily he could fix them. Intermittent issues with lights since then, but they were repaired relatively quickly.

I spent over $5,000 on this system and have been extremely disappointed with the company's customer…read moreservice and support. When issues arise, repairs can take 6-8 weeks, which is completely unacceptable for a product at this price point. It is nearly impossible to speak with an actual person unless you have a very basic support question. For more serious problems, you're left waiting with little communication and no meaningful assistance. The product itself may look appealing, but the lack of responsive customer service and excessive repair delays make it difficult to justify the investment. There are many other companies offering similar products, and based on my experience, I would strongly recommend exploring those options instead. I would not purchase from this company again and would not recommend them to others.
