We recently had everlights install lights on to our house and we couldn't be happier. Not only was Jakob and Jay very pleasant they worked through the rain and bad weather to make sure it gone done the same day. The range and ability of what these lights can do through the app is amazing. We are so excited for every holiday going forward being able to adjust our lights for any and all occasions. I reviewed Everlights a couple of years ago. I actually wrote two: one slammed them for a product that didn't work well; the second was praise after they got it together. After a couple of years, it just doesn't work AGAIN! I have looked at other reviews. This review reflects many others. Our start about three years ago was a little rough, but we got it figured out. I even referred two neighbors. Now, I can't modify the lights. They just do random stuff. I've sent emails and called Customer Support. As someone else said, "crickets!" Finally, I learned today that they will address my problem "within a few weeks!" How's that for great customer service! They're backed up because their system is faulty and they can't (won't) respond in a timely manner. I told them that I'm going to have a banner made for my lawn that says, "Don't buy permanent lighting from Everlights - they're faulty!" As others have mentioned, if you want permanent lights, shop around. There has to be a better company with real customer support. I, too, wish I hadn't spent (wasted) my money with this inferior company and a poor product. read more

If there was a no star rating, that would have been the rating I give. Considering EverLights decorative lights? DON'T!!! Spent almost $3K on their system during the summer of '23. At best, this system has worked maybe 55-60% of the time. Anytime there was rain or extreme heat, the system would go down. Sometimes service requests were responded to, but would be weeks out with any repairs made. Most of the time there would be no response in terms of anyone answering the phone, responding to a voicemail or responding to an email. Now, in southern Utah they can't even keep technicians employed. I ran across one of their technician on the streets one day and stopped and talked with him. I had multiple requests for service into their Linden,UT office, but according to him there was nothing showing our request in the work orders in the St. George office. He indicated, with some frustration, that they are being told to concentrate on new system installations, not repairs. Their owners right now only want to concentrate on sales and not maintaining their current customers. I found that statement to be credible because I've had service requests in now for several months and they will not return calls or let me know if my system is ever going be repaired. So, the Everlights system is going to be completely removed this week and I've purchased another system from another company (for another $3K) that I've researched. I wish I would've done a better job researching this three years ago. There is no legal recourse I can take, the money I would spend going after them legally I will be better spent on a new system from a more reputable company. But hopefully, multiple social media messages like this one. I'm leaving on Yelp will give people a heads up on about how bad of a company they really are. read more

Everlights has terrible customer service. We had a $35,000 project installed on our property in Alpine 2 years ago. Our lighting system has not worked consistently for the 2 years since installation, and Everlights has never addressed the problem after innumerable requests for service. In fact, we haven't been able to talk to a real person or get a response from Everlights. We are now left to engage legal counsel and pursue litigation to try to resolve the issue of a workable lighting system. read more

Just got these installed and we are SO happy! Dalton did a great job walking me through the process and getting me financed. Stan from Ambian Solar installed them. He was professional and never gave up when faced with obstacles. They did a fabulous job matching the trim colors of our house. Everything looks great and works well so far. I bought these about 5 years ago thinking it would be ideal to not have to worry about dealing with my roofline ever year. To the contrary. The first year was fine; however ever year after there is always some issue with the lights. I always have to call Support and spend money to have someone come to my home and repair them. Other issue is that you never know you need repair until the season and support always tells you they are too busy with jobs for the season. Or, they never answer the phone or emails. Deeply Regret Choosing Everlights I strongly advise anyone considering Everlights to think twice. Our experience with Everlights started out promising--quick response, a fast full-home quote, and a salesperson who was attentive and flexible. We were genuinely impressed and excited. That feeling didn't last. We were told someone would call to get us on the schedule. Two weeks later--crickets. We reached out, and our salesperson tried to help, but even he couldn't confirm when our install would happen. Eventually, he got us a date. Install day comes... and no one shows up. Worse? When we called the company, they had no idea who we were. We had paid a significant deposit, yet somehow, we didn't exist in their system. How does that happen? We chased them for days, getting the runaround from people who couldn't (or wouldn't) help. Only after our salesperson gave us personal cell numbers for a few higher-ups did things finally move forward. The install itself? A mess. After day one, the crew realized they'd installed the wrong version of the system and had to tear it down. They returned a week later, rushed through the job, and left it "mostly finished." They told us they usually set up control "zones" (front, back, sides) but didn't have time and would come back after the New Year to finish. Spoiler: they didn't. Then the system failed completely. We followed the procedure--submitted a ticket--and got radio silence. It wasn't until we replied to an automated "rate your system" email that anyone got back to us. That's the level of support you're in for. After the fix, we asked again to have the zones completed. We were told someone would come Monday. Monday came. Monday went. No one showed. No call. No follow-up. Weeks later, we ran into an Everlights rep at a home show. He promised to follow up--and to his credit, he did. But now? They're saying we'll have to pay to finish what the installers promised to do at install time. Let me be crystal clear: We were told this would be done during install. We were told again it would be scheduled later. At no point was a charge ever mentioned--until now. Yes, they're pointing to the fine print in the agreement. But after the chaos, delays, ghosting, poor communication, and broken promises, this is nothing short of petty and insulting. We spent over $10,000. And they're haggling over something they failed to deliver? Everlights had every opportunity to turn this around. Instead, they chose to be difficult, disorganized, and dismissive. If you're considering this company, ask yourself: What happens when something goes wrong? Will they show up? Will they fix it? Will they honor their word? I am very frustrated. We have had our system for less than a year. We've had to have the bridge replaced just a few months after installation. Now, our lights are malfunctioning. For the last 30 days, I have made about 10 attempts to contact them to give me service. Do not do it. The demo is pretty. It sounds like a good idea. Trust me, it isn't. It is an expensive mistake looking for a place to happen. The lights look cool *IF* they work. Ours did for a day or two after the install. They are almost invisible during the day - you really cannot see the install - just like they say in their marketing copy. But because they don't work at all, mine are also completely invisible at night. New house - I had to have Xmas lights. So, I reached out to Everlights in November 2024, was given a Everlights installer in Florida to do the installation. Lights worked for a grand total of 2 days after installation. The Everlights installers were clueless. Front yard full of ruts, dead grass, etc. from their lift and no lights. I even got a message from the Everlights installer that they "might have deleted my set up as they still had it programmed into their phone - but here's a handy video for you to try to fix it yourself." - that was the last I heard from the installer. The run around started in high gear - their installer disappeared. Everlights Support infrequently responds to messages. Support passed me along to an individual employee who infrequently answers correspondence. He recommended a 2nd installer to come fix the mess created by the first company. Spoke to the new installer once - and they disappeared. We have done the dance of reboot this, reboot that, send me pictures of that, etc. to no avail. To be honest, it is like they do not know what was installed. "Do you have v2 or v3" is a frequently asked question. One would think they would know what they sold to me. This is a headache you don't need and money that would be better spent if you piled it up in your driveway and set it on fire - at least you would be saved the torment of trying to get a straight answer and/or trying to get your money back without a law suit. Everlights does not seem like an organization that cares much about service - I've been talking to them since before Xmas 2024 to get the problem resolved (it's almost the end of January 2025 when I am writing this). It feels very much like, once they get your money, they make it as painful as possible if there is a problem in hopes that you will just give up and go away. They honestly seem completely unconcerned if their product works or not. Really, just don't do it. If you really just HAVE to have Xmas lights (like I did), do yourself a favor and buy them from someone else. You'll thank me for steering you away from Everlights. read more

We had our lights installed almost a year ago. We've enjoyed Christmas, St Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, random celebrations, the 4th, Labor and Memorial Day and been very happy with all of it. Fall came and my orange lights showed up green? I called Tech and we worked on some issues and sent pics in. On the second round of pics(so they could see what I saw) they sent a crew out to take a look. They came and made a replacement to some component that was causing some issues, and also informed me that my version had some issues with ORANGE. The tech helped me create my own special FALL sequence that has different shades of orange that I can now use every fall. He worked with me and helped me adjust to get exactly what I wanted. Now when I pull up at night I have the perfect FALL colors that make me and my family very happy!!! Totally satisfied and appreciate the time and effort to make sure I was 100% satisfied! read more

My name is Sara and I live in Draper, I just spent $5000 on these lights and one night they quit working. They sent me this small little tiny chip and expected me to put it in their mechanical box. I'm supposed to unscrew something on there box. The screws were not easy. Don't get these lights. Then their customer service just totally blew me off and sent me to some answering machine. And then they said they would send me out another box, didn't tell me when. I didn't realize I had to turn into an electrician in order to have these lights work. Since I've written this they did send someone out the next day that replaced the box themselves. If they work for a year and customer service other for me for a year I'll raise this to a five then. read more

I've had the "permanent" light system for 5 years. It was ok for the first year but I've had constant lights dying and needing to be replaced since then. The EverLights installer came out and fixed them the first couple times, then he closed business. The parent company wouldn't recognize his work as official even though they are the ones who referred him to do the install and he was an actual franchisee. So no more warranty repairs. They treated me like a DIY installer after that point, which wasn't the case but whatever. I ended up having to buy new LED strip sections regularly and replace dead LED sections myself, which I do know how to do - I just didn't want to, which is why I paid one of their installers to do it in the first place. I've always fixed the problems as they happened even though it's a pain and is completely beside the point of getting one if these expensive "permanent" light systems in the first place... but the LEDs kept dying. And it was getting to be every few months or so. Now the controller itself has died. Says it's connected, been reset per instructions, reconnected, all shows fine in the app, but lights won't turn on at all. Just dead. It's not user error. I know how it's supposed to work. Like I said I've used it for five years. I'm done with this piece of garbage system. It's going in the trash where it belongs. read more

I couldn't be more disappointed with the reliability of Everlight products. When it's all working properly it is cool. However, it's rarely working properly. I've had the system three years now and it's had issues since day one. Had bad lights replaced several times, had the power booster replaced, and have been told I need a new network bridge. Since it's past the short warranty these are all at my expense including the service call every time the original installer comes out to fix something. Sometimes, I've needed to fix his repairs. Unless you have unlimited funds to continuously pay the installer to come out and fix things do not buy this product. They say with Everlights you'll won't need to hand holiday lights every year. Trust me, with Everlights you'll definitely be up on the ladder routinely trying to get them to work properly. read more

JUST DON"T! I have never had such a challenge, to the point of an attorney apparently being needed, to get a company to stand behind their product and its related warranty. While it may be incidental to the situation, I cannot help but wonder if the situation would still be the same if I was not a female head of the household. After 3+ weeks of the Everlights and their Dealer Success Manager assuring me that would repair my lights that have only worked properly approximately 6 of the 12 months since they were installed, Everlights turned the responsibility back over to the installer on 8/11/23. I am still waiting for my lights to be repaired so that they work as advertised as well as consistent with the warranty that is promised. Right now, I have $8,700 of permanent lighting that still does not work as well as wires hanging from the receiver. My story is this. My experience with the installer and Everlights has been stressful, dreadful, and heart-breaking as I was so excited to have permanent lighting on my house in memory of my Dad since decorating for the holidays is a favorite memory of time spent with him and this time together became even more meaningful after my mom passed away. My lights stopped properly working in April and remain non-functional. It seems to me that Everlights wants the onerous to be on the installer and the installer wants the responsibility to be on Everlights for repairs due to manufacturing issues. Not sure where this leaves me other than with $8,700+ of lights being non-functional more than have been working over the past almost year, permanent lighting that has never functioned as guaranteed when they were installed, and expensive lights that have not been repaired as guaranteed with the one-year warranty. My experience since April alone has been the following: 8/16/23 through today: It was communicated to me that all lights were replaced; however, since they were still not working properly, I was told a receiver box needed to be replaced. I am still waiting for someone to return to replace and reprogram this box; therefore, I am unable to even turn my lights on and all I have to show for the money I spent is wires hanging out of the receiver. 8/16/23 - 6/23/23: In addition to the lights not functioning properly, the bridge was unplugged both from power and the Internet; however, the lights on the upper level remained on with no way to shut them off. 6/23/23: All lights stopped working on the upper level again and multiple lights remained out on the lower level. 6/19/23: This is after Denver Illuminations was out to fix the lights on the upper level and occurred within 5 days of the repairs. Multiple lights stopped working on the bottom level. 4/24/23: Multiple lights on the upper level stopped working. Reached out to Denver Illuminations; however, it took approximately 30-45 days to get my needed repairs worked into their schedule. Before April this year, my experience was the following: 10/6/22: After the repair(s) made on 10/5, the light worked overnight and then were out again when they turned back on the next night evening. 10/5/2022: Within 2 weeks of the of the first repair, the lights stopped working properly once again. 9/9/2022: Outlet installation completed and turned on my Everlights for first time. Regretfully, they did not work as the lights that were white were supposed to be the same color pattern as the other and per Everlights, the pink bulbs are faulty bulbs and may cause issues with the zones. read more

Period. 9 months after our lights installation, we had to have them taken down because we w were getting a new roof & gutters. After 5 phone calls seldom answered, leaving messages & talking to 2 of their employees, they wouldn't take down the lights thus canceling our warranty. They got their $2700 so they don't care about customer service afterward. I can't recommend them & I am very sorry that I have their lights.
