First, he is so pleasant and easy going, and explains things, which I appreciate since it is not my area of expertise. Second, he navigates insurance really well. He is not on our provider list, but we totally trust him, so we use him anyway. We just tell our insurance that he is our choice, and he communicates with insurance about everything after that to get the work covered. Finally, the best part is that he does beautiful work. Our cars literally look brand new when we get them back. Great service and product value. Highly recommend.

I was able to chat with several people, including one of the few seasoned fiberglass experts in the area, and was given a general ballpark. Once serious and decided, I returned to hand over the car and get a more tuned quote and timeline. During the next 12 weeks, the car's awful fiberglass body was given much needed TLC. Mike was in constant contact over phone and text message, providing status updates, pictures, and timeline updates. I'm very very pleased with the results and the price. It was not cheap (between $5k and $10k), but other shops were quoting $15k+. The difference might be that the other shops were only wanting to do a perfect, concourse-level job, and I was able to inform Sentry that this was unnecessary for my use case. I highly recommend Sentry to anyone with a car they truly care about, be it classic or modern. You won't pay an exorbitant price and will get very good results. I'm sure you can get better results if you ask and are willing to pay for the extra time.

Friendly, Professional and Fair Prices!…read more I was having an issue with my Mercedes Metris Cargo Van. I knew that there was a fuel issue and had researched online about it's fuel pump. Once I verified that it was in the fuel tank, I knew that I didn't want to do this myself. After several calls, I took my Metris Cargo Van to Eurofed because they had good reviews and the dealerships were booked for weeks. Other independents didn't even know what the Metris was! Indeed it was a bad fuel pump. To my surprise the part was less expensive than I had anticipated even though it was a Mercedes OEM part! So, an awesome job and a great price. Combine that with a friendly, responsive and professional team, who could ask for more? Since then we have taken my wife's BMW in for a routine service and she has the same great feelings about them! I highly recommend!

From the moment I met Richard, the owner, I knew I was in good hands. He is incredibly personable, professional, and truly knowledgeable. I honestly thought my car was beyond repair--it would drive fine one moment, then suddenly lose power and shut off, especially at stop lights. It was an unpredictable and frustrating issue that no one had been able to figure out. But Richard took the time to thoroughly test drive my car and was able to pinpoint the exact problem. That alone gave me so much confidence in his expertise. Not only did he fix the issue, but his pricing was very fair and affordable. What truly set him apart, though, was the care and integrity he showed. A few days after the repair, he personally called to check and make sure everything was still running well. That level of customer service is rare. He and his wife are truly gems--honest, dependable, and genuinely committed to helping people. My husband and I are beyond pleased, and we can confidently say: we have found our mechanic! If you are looking for someone trustworthy, knowledgeable, and affordable, do not hesitate to visit Shields Repair Shop. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!

I explained exactly what I needed before handing over my keys. The mechanic took my car, came back 15 minutes later, and asked me to pay $120 -- with zero prior discussion about pricing. My issue is not the price itself. My issue is the complete lack of transparency. A basic standard in any service business is to inform the customer of the cost BEFORE doing the work -- not after. I was never given the chance to agree or walk away. That's not a mistake, that's a choice. I only came here because a close mutual friend recommended this shop. That trust made it even more disappointing. I would not return, and I would strongly advise anyone to ask for a written quote upfront before leaving their keys here.
