I am extremely unhappy with Projectorquest AKA Buyquest. First, I bought their cheapest replacement bulb for my projector. I plugged it in to my projecter after the return window. I didn't work. Projectorquest told me that I could return it even after the return window if I bought a more expensive bulb. They said they would return the money for the original bulb after I made the purchase of the more expensive bulb. I bought the more expensive bulb and I am still waiting for the refund of the less expensive bulb. I have tried to contact them sooooooo many times for six months and they don't respond. Nearly burnt my house down. So, a lot of lies from this company. On their site they claim that they have three options for a particular Panasonic Projector replacement lamp. Option #1: Chinese knock-off bulb for about $80 manufactured to original specs, good luck, probably will work, no idea how long and no warranty. Option#2: Original Lamp manufacturer Ushio from Japan with 120 day warranty for $140 (I chose this option) lastly Option#3: Original part from Panasonic for $450 (Okay I just purchased the original part directly from Panasonic for $320!!!!! ProjectorLess ended up having to send me two bulbs. The first one was made from rusted screws and a cheap delaminating lamp lens. I used it and it went about 60% dim within five hours. The next lamp was another cheap knock off bulb that started smoking and the entirety of the housing was covered in soot after it filled my living room with acrid smoke. This bulb POPPED and blacked out after just 45 minutes. My original Panasonic bulb is back in the projector, albeit at a little dim with nearly 2,000 hours on it, and has been running without fail for another 20 hours. This company is clearly engaged in deceptive business. I've waited five business days for my refund, they're not responding and both bulbs have been returned. I've just filed a dispute with my CCC. Buyer beware! If you buy an "unbranded" OEM Epson lamp you will NOT receive an OEM lamp. It's a generic knockoff. Epson DOES NOT use Philips/Osram bulbs. They manufacture their own UHE lamps and DO NOT sell to 3rd party sellers. I found this out after the fact and called Epson to verify the lamp I received was NOT OEM. After informing Projectorquest of this, they refused to ship an unbranded OEM lamp that matches the Epson OEM lamp in my possession to compare. Take a look for yourself - do these appear to be identical lamps? They know full well what they are selling is not an OEM lamp and the FTC has been notified accordingly. read more

My experience with Projectorquest.com was in November & December 2011. In 2011, my Sony VPL-CW130 projector bulb went out and I made my initial purchase from Projectorquest.com for an OEM (original manufacturer) replacement LMP-C200 bulb with housing. However, the OEM LMP-C200 bulb actually burnt out about a month later, and thus it was still covered under warranty. I worked with Projectorquest.com and they took my return & sought to get me my replacement (under warranty). I'll admit that there was some slow communication from Projectorquest.com. The replacement bulb I expected on December 6th, turned out to be 'out of stock,' and they would not receive one until 2012. I did not learn this until four to five days after my expected delivery date. I wanted my bulb sooner than that, so I decided to request a refund and purchased Projectorquest.com's Generic-Compatible LMP-C200 bulb. They refunded & then I made my purchase with them & there were no more issues. 2years5months later.... This bulb is what I am actually reviewing. It's been 2years5months and I've clocked over 2500hours on my replacement bulb before it finally croaked. Definitely worth the money & I am very happy with my purchase. I plan on purchasing my new replacement from Projectorquest.com again. My summary, service might be a little subpar (I dealt with Korean sounding names, so maybe different culture?) I am a Purchasing agent for a local high-school. I ordered 15 Lamps for our school which were for BenQ PE-8700 projectors. These are $127.00 EACH times 15 = $1,905. They said that there was a delay of two days to process it. After that I NEVER HEARD A THING, AND THEY WOULD NOT ANSWER MY CALLS, OR EMAILS. On June 14th 2020 I made an order thru projectorquest.com for a projector bulb. The bulb was priced at $84.00 and was listed as a special order on the email receipt that I was sent. After approx. 2 months, I had still not received my item nor had I been contacted via email or phone to be updated on its arrival. On August 27th, I created a customer support ticket asking why I had not received my order or the tracking information from the order. I received the following reply. Good morning and thank you for reaching out to us. We contacted the Manufacturer, and unfortunately, your package was lost in transit. However, they are shipping you out a new order ASAP, which will arrive to you in the next 2-3 weeks. As soon as they provide us with the corresponding tracking, we will be sure to provide that information to you. My question is why did they not follow up in the first place when my order had not been completed 73 days after it was placed? On September 10th after still receiving no package or tracking information, I again contacted customer service. This time I received the following reply. Good morning and thank you for reaching out to us. Per our warehouse manager, your lamp is scheduled to ship out sometime next week. We will be sure to follow up with you with the corresponding tracking information as soon as we receive it from our warehouse, so that you can track/manage your package. On September 17th after still receiving nothing, I again contacted customer service and received the following reply. Good morning and thank you for reaching out to us. We have emailed our warehouse manager for an update, and we will be sure to follow up with you with the corresponding tracking information as soon as we receive it from our warehouse team. During this time, I also spoke with representatives on 3 or 4 separate occasions via the chat option and was given a variety of contradictory excuses as to why my package had not arrived. The last contact I had with them was approx. 1 week ago and I again requested that my money be refunded. During this chat, the customer service representative tried to remedy the situation by offering to sell me an item that was over twice the price of the one I originally ordered with a 10% discount, which is still more expensive than other websites with better reviews. I declined and was told that my money would be refunded to my bank account in 24 to 48 hours. I still have not received this refund. I was also told that I would receive a copy or the chat log as a receipt but never received that either. I find it interesting that this item that they supposedly have had so much trouble trying to get is still for sale on their website. I paid extra $$'s for what was advertised to be an "OEM" Epson lamp. It even listed the manufactures OEM part# and fully described the product to be a OEM assembled complete lamp. When I confronted the manager, he described the product to be an lamp made from "original bulb", but "aftermarket assembly housing". This is commonly referred to as a "hybrid" among the industry and is discounted as such. in fact all other products as such (hybrid) are sold for a significantly lower price. read more

It would be ok if it arrived in 5 days.The 5days passed and I ordered a bulb from a competitor it was $50.00 less and has been running for a week. Today two weeks later I get and identical bulb to the one that would not fit I called customer service and asked for an RMA and pick up label. The projector bulb popped (burned out) less than one minute after installation. It took 5 days to get an email with an RMA number. Thier RMA policy is that you have to wait for them to receive and inspect before a new bulb is shipped (5 day minimum). I was looking at 3-4 weeks before I could get a replacement. I bought a replacement lamp module for my Optoma HD25-LV projector from Projectorquest.com and received it quickly. Unfortunately, that is all the good I can say about them is that they are good at exchanging bad bulbs. I guess this comes from having to do it so often. The bulb failed after 5 minutes, so I went through the live chat to set up a return and exchange and again received a replacement bulb quickly. However, this bulb failed immediately. Frustrated, I asked for a refund and was told no problem, just return the defective bulb and I would received my refund in 3 to 4 business days after receipt of return. Well, guess what? That didn't happen. After waiting a week, I got on the chat line and was told it would take 7 to 10 business days a week from our chat. All politeness gone. There are other vendors out there. Website claims order fulfillment and tracking info next business day. 5 business days later and 3 phone calls to an inept, powerless customer service I still don't even have my tracking information. I am scared it might be fraud and have lodged a complaint with the BBB. FULL ACCOUNT I made a purchase at www.projectorquest.com on 12/22/2012. Their website clearly states that they operate on business days (M-F) and "All orders placed after 5 pm ET, on the weekend or on a holiday are shipped the next business day (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) after purchase unless there is an issue processing your payment or obtaining a valid shipping address. Shipment of your purchase will be insured and well packaged and we will provide a tracking confirmation number to you by email upon shipment." I selected FedEx ground shipping and their estimation for shipping is as follows "*FedEx Ground (commercial locations only, 3-5 business days)" Quotes from website under "Delivery Information." I recieved my confirmation email on 12/22 which stated ,"Once your package ships we will send and email with a link to track your order" This being the claim of their website, I realized that the order would be processed on 12/24/2012, and likewise I should expect the tracking email to come on 12/24. On 12/27 (3 business days later) I had still not recieved the follow up email with my tracking information. I called customer service 12/27 at 1:55pm and talked to the Customer Service manager (Kirk, or something like that) about the issue. He was very appologetic, confirmed that the item had shipped but from another warehouse and he would follow up with them for the tracking information and email it, and that I should expect the item early the following week (12/31 - 1/4). On 12/31 I had still not recieved the tracking information. I called customer service again at 1:35pm to follow-up on the tracking information. I talked to a woman named Allison (or Ellison, something like that) who confirmed that I had talked to Kirk on Friday but there was still no tracking information. I asked her how long it typically takes to get the tracking email and she said 2-3 days. This is the 5th business day, so I asked her (fairly frustrated at this point) if I could talk to someone at the warehouse who could give me the tracking information. She said she couldn't give me that information. I asked her to talk to her manager (apparently Kirk), and she said he was on the phone but she'd get him to call me back. An hour later, with growing concern that I might just be dealing with a fraudulent company who has charged my credit card and refuses to actually get me simple details in an eCommerce transaction, I called back and talked to Allison who said Kirk wasn't at his desk. At this time I lost my temper and the complete ineptitued and terrible lack of answers and service. According to FedEx.com there are winter backups in delivery schedules. I understand that, but I would like to track my order - or at least know it's even real. This is affecting the warranty that comes with the item, among other things. According to FedEx.com you can track an order by filling in an account number or relevant search query. I asked if Kirk could use that to at least verify or get the tracking information (if this is a business, like many others, that frequently ships via FedEx, they should be able to at least type in their own account number, right?). Currently customer service has failed abismally to service my questions or requests (unfortunately some of them were yelled, to which I'd like to say sorry, but I would still be saying it sternly).
