They finished the job in a few hours, and Dean asked if I had any issues with it, and I mentioned that it did no look great and I would appreciate it if they came back and made it look better. He came out himself about a week later and fixed it so it looked literally as good as new, and made sure I was satisfied before he left. I would 100% recommend to friends and family. Things not going perfectly is common for contractors. Fixing things when they DO go wrong is a lot more uncommon. 5 stars, and Dean is a stand up guy.

I spoke to other companies that flat out said they don't do repairs. The house was newly purchased and we needed to repair the fence and move the gates back ASAP to secure our dog. We shared this information with John the owner and he totally understand. The fence was repaired and the gate was moved back and secured perfectly. I found Axis Builders on Yelp when I was looking for someone to build a wooden fence for my back yard. They were very communicative during the pre-build process when we tried to map out where the fence would go. A couple days before construction was to begin, I noticed that they had called 811 and had had the area flagged for underground wires (again, they are on the ball). The fence looks amazing! My neighbors across the street, seeing how speedy and nice the fence went in, walked over and got Axis's card for to build their deck. And another neighbor, seeing my pictures online, also will hire Axis to build a fence. To say that I am happy with the service is an understatement. The whole process was stress-free with no drama.

Both installations were done professionally and to my satisfaction. Fast forward to spring of 2019 - I damaged the chain link gate across my driveway. I contacted Whitmore and after several messages left on their answering service, I got a response that as soon as a crew was in my area (Cortland) the gate would be looked at. A month later I called again and was told the same. It is now nearly 5 months later and I have yet to get any response from Whitmore. I am very disappointed. As we all know, this is the most expensive fence company in the area and their work is generally top notch. The lack of customer service is surprising and disappointing. I am driven to post this negative review after my fruitless efforts to get a response from them.

If that does not tell you the type of company and people you're working with what does. Be very wary of this company.

Office staff is very confused. I was told they could install a fence in 4 weeks. They came out for…read morea quote a week later and told me we could avoid the proposal and send a contract the next day as I was in a hurry. Called the next day and they said I would have the pricing within the next few hours. The next day they said they were having trouble getting the pricing from the manufacturer. I asked them if they could call versus waiting for an email and they said no. They then said who ever told me 4 weeks was wrong and they were out 10-12 weeks. Hmmmm the whole reason I scheduled a quote was based on 4 weeks. The guy that did the quote said 4 weeks was good. Attitude of the office manger (hope she is the owners wife) was horrible. If she worked for me she would not have made it to lunch. Another suggestion on professionalism would be to not have kids screaming in the background while you take a call from a customer.

Poor First Impression - On May 24th at 1 pm, I was traveling in New York when I witnessed two…read morevehicles engaged in very dangerous and inappropriate "road rage." While all of it was childish behavior I was shocked that the far more aggressive of the two was using a company truck. He was driving a white GMC Canyon pickup with ARROWFENCE.NET listed on the tailgate and the company logo and phone number on the door. This guy was completely out of hand, brake checking, riding the center of the road so people could not pass, speeding up, and slowing down. It was dangerous and shocking. Frankly, I did not see the other driver do anything offensive. I am often between Florida and NY and there is no way I would use this company with that unstable hothead running it. The driver must have been the owner because when I called the number on the truck to complain he answered and then hung up the phone. I have a photo and video of the incident for the police. I will post on social when I have more time. Business owners should set better examples. Do not spend your hard-earned money with this company. If he does not respect the road, he will not respect your home.

These guys were amazing. From start to finish they helped me with the process of replacing our…read morequickly decaying wooden fence and wow, what a result! The estimate was fast and fair (I had 3 competing estimates done and they were right in the middle, but offered a far better quality product than both and offered a knowledgeable staff who instilled confidence). This was my first major non-diy home improvement and so it was lovely to have a staff that could clearly explain what on my part needed to be done before breaking ground (permits and a remarking of the property lines etc) while they worked on gathering the materials and calling the various utilities to mark out where it was not safe to dig. The project lasted exactly as long as they said it would (3 days including demolition, as we had a big fence) and the workers were an amazing crew. They tried as much as possible to keep the workspace clutter to a minimum, and worked to avoid damaging the neighbor's yard (in fact you couldn't even tell they had been standing there!) They even worked around our apple trees and rose bushes without incident, something that I told them don't worry too much about since the fence was more important, so thanks guys, I was surprised how well that worked out!) All in all it was a great experience and once I save a bit more up I plan to do the other side of the yard and use them again. Thanks again!! :)
