Vicky is the pantry manager and has excellent skills in gathering free supplies and food to be donated. Many south bay companies have come together to become involved and give to this gilroy community in their time of need. Through Gavilan College they offer students to work here for minimum wage. What an excellent way to give back. As well as a great way to earn some much needed money while being a student. Thanx Gavilan =)

I got to the point where I was just skimming my way through the racks and if there was a color or pattern that caught my eye I would pull it out. Scored on a black leather tote which was soft and roomy too. Also found an office bag to carry my notebooks and office supplies. Prices were very reasonable and they were having a sale on white tags. Cute Tommy shirt was only $1.99 and the other 2 were $3.99. All three were name brand and in good condition.

They were a bit high for a Goodwill store in my opinion. I would rather go to an At Home, Cost Plus, or Ikea. For the same price, or a bit more a Cost Plus, I could get brand new furniture. The rest of the store had the same huge selection of items. I was able to peruse the aisles for a long while lost in all the cool secondhand stuff. I actually wish I had more time to shop around in the clothing section to look for cool t-shirts. The store is HUGE. I would highly suggest for those who enjoy secondhand shops.

He is now 23 and just recently told me the horror of living there. On Thanksgiving we could not be together during that time, my father (his grandfather) drove over there to bring him a plate. My son warmed it up and the staff took it from him and threw it in the garbage. My son said he went to his room and just cried. Other times he was thrown to a quiet room and as he had his meltdown the staff would make fun of him. If I could take back time I would and to warn parents of who you are placing in your childs care, especially with a mental illness and to carry future trauma. shame on you whoever you were at the time. If I only knew earlier that these events happened many of you staff would have had an investigation at hand.

I spoke to Derrick (the owner), he quoted me a price, agreed on the date and we scheduled it. I had to change the time and he was extremely accommodating. The day of the job, Derrick and his son showed up on time! My wife and I couldn't believe it. We have hired contractors in the past and they're either late, want to reschedule or don't show up at all. I pointed out what needed to be removed and they were on it. In an hour and a half, they had removed the shed and the hot tub. Mind you that the hot tub had to be cut up in sections in order for it to be removed. Derrick capped off the leads to the hot tub and wrapped them up. Something I wasn't expecting. They cleaned up the area really well when they were done. I never thought I would be impressed by anyone hauling our junk away. Well, Derrick and his son left me speechless. They are punctual, reliable, friendly and extremely professional. I will definitely use them again (and only them) should I ever have more junk that needs to be hauled away. For all of your hot tub / junk hauling needs, give them a call. Every week the volunteers who work here make sure they can hand out hundreds of bags of groceries to folks who might not be able to make ends meet. Many local businesses and private parties donate time/money/products to make this happen and the volunteers who run the daily operations are truly good people who probably don't get enough recognition.
