I love this goodwill tbh. I recently discovered the much larger Gilroy one, but there are some…read morehidden gems that come up at this location. Also, the staff here go above and beyond to help you (in comparison) very friendly and positive vibe here. I've seen hilarious shirts/sweatshirts and funny mugs. Brands I recognize I note include Lucky, House of Harlow, Meshki, Garage, and Victoria's Secret. For nurses/healthcare providers looking for cool/unique scrubs, this place has some although it's not so easy to find the matching top and bottoms. Some vintage scrubs/retro style as well. I noticed they seem to have a lot more linen tops/blouses, and ethnic Indian clothes than the Gilroy location (this could be due to size which changes the arrangement).

Claustrophobic, yes, but are there hidden gems at this Goodwill? Absolutely. My husband and I came…read morehere on New Year's Day as they were having two specials in-store: 50% off blue tags and 35% off your entire purchase. There's a ton to sift through whether that's clothes, shoes, toys, housewares, and random trinkets. But one thing I will say is if you come across a gem, snatch it up. I was able to find a Zoom embroidered Patagonia vest and a Pearl Izumi cycling jacket which were both real. I was able to easily remove the "Zoom" logo and the jacket is the same as one my husband already has so we could verify its' authenticity. I'll definitely come back here when I feel like braving out the stuffiness inside to locate some more good deals!

This place is a true community center, run completely by volunteers. You can also rent the hall for private events. Heidi is amazingly helpful and so kind to work with. Heidi was a joy to work with and I feel we've been become friends through working together. =) Our Baby Shower was on a Sunday, and since there was no events the Saturday before she let us in that event to set up. I can not tell you how much stress that took off our shoulders. We were able to take our time and not worry about it the morning off. Since my family is from out of town and we live in Gilroy, this really helped with the unloading and just overall timing of getting ready that day. PROS: - Food separate from party: My dad and uncle cooked using our own BBQ's behind the grange. We did buffet style tacos in the kitchen. I liked that this was separate was the party and it gave us more room for seating. - Tables and Chair included: The venue has plenty of rectangle tables and the comfortable plastic chairs (not the metal chairs). - Side room: perfect for kids! I made custom coloring pages and put some toys in there. There were a lot of kids there but I hardly saw any of them because this room kept them occupied. - Frig: to keep cake and fruit chilled - Restrooms: plenty, never any wait time. - Cleanliness: the place was spotless when we arrived, very pleased with the cleanliness. - Parking: on site for the event, and plenty around. - drinks: with the one day event insurance we were able to bring in our own beer and wine. No bar staff needed. CONS: - seats per table: the chairs and comfy because they are wider, but this means we were only able to fit 3 next to each other per side. This made my count of table/chairs/centerpieces off a bit as I planned 4 chairs per side per table. Not a big a deal in the end but something to think about if your tables plan to touch like ours. -No A/C: we got lucky and it wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be and there are fans on the ceiling and some floor fans. But as the girl of the hour running around I was so sweaty (probably cuz I'm also 31 weeks preg) but at least the guests were comfortable. I made paper fans for guest to use just in case. Overall, we will definitely be using this venue again!

They do two main drives: the Back to School Drive & the Holiday Wish Drive. What is great is that they accept kids of all ages, so there's no restriction on who can volunteer. The Back to School Drive helps children/students receive brand new backpacks filled with school supplies. You can work at their warehouse in August (be ready to sign up quick once registration opens because the spots go quickly) or you can help out at their office. For the Holiday Drive, they help get gifts to people in need in the Bay Area. This is a really fun event to do with friends and family. It's so cool to see all the toys, and the FGT process is very easy to understand. Would recommend this place for everyone in the Milpitas/Fremont/SJ area since it's close by.

I came from a rough background, a harsh childhood but that never prevented my parents to teach and discipline me. and to show me that a little compassion goes a long way. Due to restriction at work, I wasn't able to promote this drive but thank to Beth L., Craig M., Cristal C., Noelle J., and one of my coworkers for making this drive successful. I collected quite a few backpacks and felt good that we helped a few families. The evening I decided it was time to drop the backpacks filled w/ school supplies off, I was amazed to see the generous hearts that was there before me; I saw huge piles and piles of backpacks... I'm not there to help everyone because realistically I can't but if I can make someone smile and not have to worry about the expenses of getting a backpack and school supplies then it's definitely worth it. Donations and volunteerism isn't just during the holidays. Do what you can. Help others.
