This place is a true community center, run completely by volunteers. You can also rent the hall for private events. Heidi is amazingly helpful and so kind to work with. Heidi was a joy to work with and I feel we've been become friends through working together. =) Our Baby Shower was on a Sunday, and since there was no events the Saturday before she let us in that event to set up. I can not tell you how much stress that took off our shoulders. We were able to take our time and not worry about it the morning off. Since my family is from out of town and we live in Gilroy, this really helped with the unloading and just overall timing of getting ready that day. PROS: - Food separate from party: My dad and uncle cooked using our own BBQ's behind the grange. We did buffet style tacos in the kitchen. I liked that this was separate was the party and it gave us more room for seating. - Tables and Chair included: The venue has plenty of rectangle tables and the comfortable plastic chairs (not the metal chairs). - Side room: perfect for kids! I made custom coloring pages and put some toys in there. There were a lot of kids there but I hardly saw any of them because this room kept them occupied. - Frig: to keep cake and fruit chilled - Restrooms: plenty, never any wait time. - Cleanliness: the place was spotless when we arrived, very pleased with the cleanliness. - Parking: on site for the event, and plenty around. - drinks: with the one day event insurance we were able to bring in our own beer and wine. No bar staff needed. CONS: - seats per table: the chairs and comfy because they are wider, but this means we were only able to fit 3 next to each other per side. This made my count of table/chairs/centerpieces off a bit as I planned 4 chairs per side per table. Not a big a deal in the end but something to think about if your tables plan to touch like ours. -No A/C: we got lucky and it wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be and there are fans on the ceiling and some floor fans. But as the girl of the hour running around I was so sweaty (probably cuz I'm also 31 weeks preg) but at least the guests were comfortable. I made paper fans for guest to use just in case. Overall, we will definitely be using this venue again!

I've intended to write this review for far far too long…read more An unbelievable 2 months ago now I adopted a sweet little 10 month kitten known as poppy. I'd come to look at a different kitten and realized very fast they would not be a good fit. Before leaving though the wonderful team Jamie and (name I cannot recall unfortunately) inquired as to why I was looking for in a cat. They suggested I look at poppy. I met poppy and slowly started falling in love. And I say slowly. The wonderful team at town cats allowed me to sit with her for almost an hour and a half, letting me know I could think about it and come back or adopt her that day. In the end I pulled the trigger and said YES. Best decision I ever made. They offered, at my request, to provide a small amount of her current food and I picked up her current litter. They also allowed me to come pick up my new little lady love after they had technically closed, to allow me to pick up the last few remaining items from the nearest pet store. Their team also answered my inquiries over the next week about my concerns regarding her transitioning into her new home Poppy, now named Calliope or Caya for short, gets a long amazingly with her fellow 2 human human housemates, and canine and feline housemates, and spends much of her day with her adoptive mother, me. Sweet, affectionate, and brave. She's playful and loving, and spends most of her day trilling quietly about things she'd like me to know. I don't see myself adopting another feline any time soon, but I would suggest town cats as a wonderful place to find a furever friend.

I spoke to Derrick (the owner), he quoted me a price, agreed on the date and we scheduled it. I had to change the time and he was extremely accommodating. The day of the job, Derrick and his son showed up on time! My wife and I couldn't believe it. We have hired contractors in the past and they're either late, want to reschedule or don't show up at all. I pointed out what needed to be removed and they were on it. In an hour and a half, they had removed the shed and the hot tub. Mind you that the hot tub had to be cut up in sections in order for it to be removed. Derrick capped off the leads to the hot tub and wrapped them up. Something I wasn't expecting. They cleaned up the area really well when they were done. I never thought I would be impressed by anyone hauling our junk away. Well, Derrick and his son left me speechless. They are punctual, reliable, friendly and extremely professional. I will definitely use them again (and only them) should I ever have more junk that needs to be hauled away. For all of your hot tub / junk hauling needs, give them a call. You will not be disappointed. Seriously.

As a mom, and as someone who has worked in child development for over 15 years, including nearly five years at Bing Nursery School at Stanford, where the most advanced, research-based approaches to early childhood development are practiced. I recognize excellence when I see it. Maria and Joana truly embody that same philosophy. Their approach is warm, affectionate, and thoughtfully child-centered. The environment is relaxed and nurturing, far from a rigid or overly structured setting. They beautifully incorporate Montessori principles along with the Bing philosophy that "playing is serious work." The children are constantly engaged in creative, hands-on learning, with plenty of STEM-based activities throughout the day. What also stands out is the level of communication and transparency. They share pictures and videos all day long, allowing parents to feel connected and reassured. It's clear the children are thriving. The meals are another highlight: incredibly healthy, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. My daughter, who used to struggle with food, is now excited to eat! The children sit together at a pleasant table and enjoy a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins everything is nutritious, creative, and appealing. Most importantly, the care they give is truly above and beyond. Every child feels seen, loved, and valued. My daughter literally counts the minutes to go back to her "Little Star family"and sometimes even cries when it's time to leave because she wants to keep playing. That says everything. We've seen such beautiful growth in her cognitive and emotional development in a short time. As parents, we couldn't feel more at peace or more grateful. If you have the opportunity, choose Little Star for your child. It is a truly special place.
