Volunteering with Town Cats has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The shelter is clean and the staff and volunteers are super friendly and truly care about the wellbeing of each cat. Transporting kitties to vet appointments has been a joy!

Recently I started fostering some kittens from this place and they've been super super helpful! They've given me all the supplies and support i've needed to help these sick kittens recover so they can find a good and loving home! Town cats is so great for what they do and helping sweet babies who need love and a home. I love how they care about each and every pet and make sure they well taken care of. We need more places like this!! Would recommend every cat lover to adopt a cat from here!

Great organization with great fur babies who are looking for their furever homes. Consider Town Cats when looking for a furry addition to your family.

Looks dead. They said they closed at 4, went there at 3pm not a single person in there. Weird.

    Brennan at Petco

I adopted my baby boy Brennan from Towncats about 2 years ago. Best choice ever!! The process was super easy, saw Brennan at PetCo, submitted an app, did a meet and greet, then took him home. The whole process took about a week. I never had a cat before, but when I saw Brennan at PetCo I felt an instant connection - like it was meant to be! TownCats told me what supplies I needed and how to take care of him (how often to feed him, what food/kitty litter to buy). Brennan made himself at home day 1, he acclimated so quickly! He's my best little buddy, so sweet and cuddly. I love him so much, and I am so grateful to TownCats for rescuing him and taking care of him during his young life.

    Hungry Kittens

In 2023 I would have given Town Cats 5 stars, but what a letdown in 2024! Last year Aidan helped me with 12 kittens that were abandoned. All went to loving homes. This year I TNR'd six neighborhood feral females with kittens. I contacted TC and was told that they would accept these kittens, along with four others that were found in a bag, provided I foster them until they were old enough to neuter and be placed for adoption. Same deal as with Aidan in 2023, but unfortunately she was no longer with TC. The person I was corresponding with (Tony) unbeknownst to me, discontinued working at TC and Jamie, who was copied on all emails, never contacted me. When I finally sent her a direct message, she responded that TC knew nothing about "my" 13 kittens! When I forwarded proof they'd been accepted by TC, she reluctantly agreed to take them. On the date/time Jamie told me to deliver them, I drove the 23 miles to their location with the kittens, gift bags, and extra food, along with my usual feeling of joy that they'd find permanent homes, and that touch of sadness to say goodbye to them. HOWEVER... something didn't feel right when Jamie introduced herself and when she came back outside she told me they couldn't (wouldn't) take the kittens!! Her excuses were 1) Tony; 2) no room in back (quarantine??)! I was SO UPSET and couldn't believe she had me drive all the way out there when it felt pretty obvious TC never intended to keep their word. I have contacted multiple rescue organizations since with no luck. Thanks to TC I still have 13 kittens born late March to early April. How do I respond to Stormie's comments? The kittens weren't "sick," although a couple had begun to sneeze. Yet you refused ALL the kittens. Keep in mind these kittens should have gone to TC weeks earlier, when all was well! Again you are using the excuse that yet another employee (Jamie) no longer works there, however both she and Tony were required to get management approval. Has everyone left? I was never told to continue fostering until you were able to take them. Jamie did mention Tony worked elsewhere. I was never verbally abusive, although I wanted to be... I was in shock. To say you didn't have room for ACCEPTED kittens is confusing. I wasn't going on "vacation." I was summoned to NC because my terminally ill sister needed me. This will be my final "review" of TC. Perhaps your taking over is the problem? Changing policies that were helpful to the community in the past? IDK

Recently, I found a stray kitten and had no idea where to go or begin. I came here and received great direction! So helpful and kind service! Def recommend!

It's a very emotional day for me but I know I made the right decision to come to town cat. We got a new house a while ago and the previous owner's cat, Lola, lived under the roof of the empty house for a year after the previous owner passed away unfortunately. So I started to take care of Lola but soon I realized I can't give her a good home that she deserves. I have a dog and my husband is allergic to cat but Lola is so sweet, she can be someone's lap cat and indoor someday. So I contacted Town Cat. Luckily I met Danielle and her friendly team and she was so patient to answer all my questions, plus I can tell from all the answers that she is a pro, she really cares Lola and they're going to take care of Lola, much more than I can ever do. So I said goodbye to my sweet Lola today, knowing she'll have a better life and stay safe without living outdoor anymore. Later today I got a call from Danielle and Lola is going great. Funny thing is Danielle found out a few years ago Lola was actually adopted by someone from town cat! So happy that she's really back home! A hard day for me but a good day for Lola. Thank you Town Cat for making good home for cats like Lola. Appreciate what you do everyday to make a difference!

Trying to take a nap here. Please turn off the lights!

Town Cats exceeded all of our expectations and we had an incredible experience adopting our two lovable cats. Their facility has a great area for cats to roam and play. And it's obvious that volunteers, staff, and the vets truly care so much for these cats. We also noticed how well they had trained/worked with them to make great pets. The cats we adopted are so sweet and knew to scratch only their scratching posts, go in their litter box, they love to play, and have been an absolute pleasure. We worked with Nin who was great! As we have shelter-in-place instituted, she was very patient and took the time to FaceTime my wife and I to see the cats virtually before driving there to adopt. The facility also takes precautions in providing gloves and hand sanitizer. Nin was also very transparent in providing background on the cats and the types of environments they'd be most suitable for. And the adoption process was very smooth. If you're looking to adopt a cat, I highly recommend Town Cats.

Thank you town cats! We adopted our first cat ever in March 2008, and they were extremely helpful in the adoption process. They even helped us shop for all the kitty necessities at the local store for half an hour and gave us tons of tips and recommendations! Our little cat is extremely friendly and social, and we're so happy that they were able to help match us to such a well behaved cat.

We adopted our kitty from Town Cats when he was 6 months old. Their facility is easy to find but since it's in an industrial area, the entrance isn't easy to find. No problem though, everyone is very friendly and the cats are very well cared for! Everyone seemed to really know each car's personality. The paperwork was thorough and the adoption process was straightforward. We would definitely recommend Town Cats to friends and family looking to adopt cats/kittens.

There are many walks of life we encounter on a daily basis. Some people are more outgoing than others, while others not so much. Such is the case with the staff here where some are very outgoing, and the rest would rather focus on just doing their work of keeping up with the furry tenants. What matters is that they all obviously care about the cats. The place is kept clean, there's plenty of food and water and the cats themselves seem mellow and content. Ideally each would have their own home and person, but until then at least they have a safe place to live.

Heidi was a joy to work with and I feel we've been become friends through working together. =) Our Baby Shower was on a Sunday, and since there was no events the Saturday before she let us in that event to set up. I can not tell you how much stress that took off our shoulders. We were able to take our time and not worry about it the morning off. Since my family is from out of town and we live in Gilroy, this really helped with the unloading and just overall timing of getting ready that day. PROS: - Food separate from party: My dad and uncle cooked using our own BBQ's behind the grange. We did buffet style tacos in the kitchen. I liked that this was separate was the party and it gave us more room for seating. - Tables and Chair included: The venue has plenty of rectangle tables and the comfortable plastic chairs (not the metal chairs). - Side room: perfect for kids! I made custom coloring pages and put some toys in there. There were a lot of kids there but I hardly saw any of them because this room kept them occupied. - Frig: to keep cake and fruit chilled - Restrooms: plenty, never any wait time. - Cleanliness: the place was spotless when we arrived, very pleased with the cleanliness. - Parking: on site for the event, and plenty around. - drinks: with the one day event insurance we were able to bring in our own beer and wine. No bar staff needed. CONS: - seats per table: the chairs and comfy because they are wider, but this means we were only able to fit 3 next to each other per side. This made my count of table/chairs/centerpieces off a bit as I planned 4 chairs per side per table. Not a big a deal in the end but something to think about if your tables plan to touch like ours. -No A/C: we got lucky and it wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be and there are fans on the ceiling and some floor fans. But as the girl of the hour running around I was so sweaty (probably cuz I'm also 31 weeks preg) but at least the guests were comfortable. I made paper fans for guest to use just in case. Overall, we will definitely be using this venue again!
