We think this is an essential step in choosing any wedding planner, since ideas need to be communicated in both directions. Being on the same page about the vision of your wedding is key. It did not take long at all for us to know that she was the absolute best choice for us. Clémence is incredibly friendly and holds herself to such a high standard, and that shows in the work she does. She has an entire process for planning that includes timelines of when things are to be done, vendors are to be booked, and more. Everything is laid out clearly, and she checks in regularly to make sure things are on track. These timelines start from several months before the wedding and go all the way down to the day itself. She makes it known that she wants your day to be exactly how you want it and works hard to achieve that. Whenever we had a new idea or a modification to an existing one, she was always open to hearing it and working to make it happen. We went with an Italian garden-style theme for our wedding, and Clémence executed that vision perfectly. We somehow seemed to be on the same wavelength about everything. Not only did she follow through on executing our ideas, but she also incorporated her own input that fit into the wedding and expanded on it perfectly. As first-time bride and groom, we struggled with knowing how to budget properly. Clémence helped us spend in places where it made the most sense for us and save on things we didn't need. Bit of a random anecdote, but we wanted to have pizza at the end of our afterparty. Our initial search was going to have us spending hundreds of dollars to have standard pizzas delivered to our venue. Clémence saved the day when she found an even closer shop that made heart-shaped pizzas for a fraction of the cost. As Clémence has been doing this for a while now, she's gained rapport with several vendors and was able to speak to the quality of their work and service. This took so much pressure off of us, since we didn't merely have to trust the sales pitch of whatever vendors we happened to find on our own. Once we had our vendors locked in, Clémence took care of managing timelines for each, such as when to meet with them, choosing items for the wedding, and payment schedules. Not only does she work her hardest when she's by your side, she also has your back when you don't even notice. Nearly a month after the wedding, we found out that our venue's staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful to our vendors. This forced everyone to work at 110% to compensate for the lack of assistance. However, the way Clémence handled this was with such grace and professionalism that we didn't notice, nor did any of our guests, that things weren't running smoothly. Her integrity is truly inspiring. As cheesy as it may sound, we've gained a genuine lifelong friend in Clémence. The influence and quality of her work extend far beyond wedding planning. If it wasn't clear already, we cannot recommend Clémence enough. Her work speaks for itself and was by far the best investment we made for our wedding.

First of all, Michelle knows her stuff. You can tell she's been doing this for a while. At our 1 month meeting, she told us exactly what decor we needed to buy and how many photos to print at Walgreens. She had us bring 1 bin for the ceremony, 1 bin for the cocktail hour, etc. It made preparations super easy. At our venue walkthrough, I was so glad she was there, because she would think of things that I would never. For example, we thought about having our groomsmen bus tables to save a little money. Immediately, she called out that they will probably be drinking and can't do it. Second, Michelle puts so much love and care into her job. From our initial meeting, she genuinely wanted to know us and what we were looking for. She accommodated everything we wanted. In our timeline planning meeting, we were worried that we wouldn't be able to take sunset photos and cut cake, because they would need to happen at the same time. Amazingly, Michelle put the puzzle pieces together and figured out how to do both. We would cut the cake first (3 min), then take sunset photos, then come back to serve the cake. I was so impressed. Get a coordinator who can do both! She's super responsive to emails. Even in the middle of wedding season, the communication was excellent. On our wedding day, we felt so attended to. They also got us on the limo bus to where the ceremony was being held and made sure the bridal party was very well taken care of. When we arrived at the Thursday Club (ceremony location) there were two coordinators taking care of all the setup. It looked amazing and when the bride walked into the ceremony site she actually cried and said, "Oh my God! It's so beautiful!" I know this was something she and the groom were worried about because at the rehearsal they mentioned that they wanted all the red draping covered in white. Both the bride and groom were so happy to see how it turned out! I really thought Monica and her team couldn't out do the ceremony but then we got to the reception and wow! BEST PARTY EVER! The reception area was really decked out! They had a sushi station (which I ate a lot of), an Italian station and a meat carving station. All the food was awesome, the setup of everything looked great and the timing was perfect. We did our entrance, had dinner and got the party started. I was finally able to reach her two weeks later, and she asked me to send her a list of all my vendors again (even though I had already forwarded her all my vendor contracts and information before). Kira did not follow through with my vendors according to the timeline we had agreed upon, and I was uncertain as to when I would be able to get my draft timeline from her. When I expressed my concern and frustration, Kira said that since she was hired for day of, her talking to me two months prior to the wedding was a bonus that she was doing for me, and I should not expect to get a timeline until 2 weeks before the wedding. This seemed irresponsible to me, since when I booked her she had said she was free for calls and texts anytime leading up to the wedding. She said that I was unsympathetic towards personal things that came up for her. I felt like it was unprofessional for her to be telling me about personal things in her life that was causing a disruption in her ability to deliver upon her commitment as a coordinator. I ended up hiring a different coordinator who is also day-of. This coordinator said she always works with her clients 8 weeks before the wedding, creates the timeline 6 weeks beforehand, communicates with vendor 3 weeks beforehand and finalizes everything 1 week beforehand. This was exactly the kind of clarity and responsibility I wanted in a coordinator, and I am afraid that Kira did not deliver on this at all for me.

The dance floor was kickin' all night, and Mark managed to make an impression on pretty much everyone there. Sure, the wedding day he's INCREDIBLE at what he does, but we cannot forgot all the fantastic advice, planning help and expertise he lends out the months before the wedding. My husband and I were totally clueless as to a proper timeline to a wedding, but Mark spelled it all out for us in black and white and made sure to give us great advice on "what works and what doesn't." He was a huge part of making our big day run smoothly and on time, and the main reason that so many of our guests told us that it was the most fun wedding they'd ever been to.
