    I attend a wedding for a friend and in March of 2016 and it was literally the best wedding I've ever been to. So when another friend was getting married in August I had her recommend the same planner, Create Events! The team is awesome! They make guests feel welcomed, the wedding flows smoothly and everything comes together perfectly. For the first wedding: My son was the ring bearer so I was heavily involved in the rehearsal and day of. Monica and her team made me and my son feel comfortable on both days! I was so happy to have someone like her for the bridal party. She was upbeat, kind and extremely helpful! For the second wedding: Everything was AMAZING!! The flow was perfect and we had a great time. Their staff was so helpful in escorting guests and it was absolutely stunning! My friends could not have been more happy about the way their weddings turns out! Both of my friends were ecstatic to have Create Events at their coordinator! I highly recommend!

    [ Wedding was 9/28/18 ]... a tad late on this review. But Monica, Brittany, and the rest of Create Events are honestly such great wedding planners- I would hire them any time! I only used them as 'day-of' coordinators, but they went far and beyond just the day-of. I planned my wedding from Chicago (wedding was in Carlsbad, CA), so it was quite stressful but I had most of my vendors already chosen. I just knew I needed help the day of because we had 250 guests and two locations. Monica and Brittany met with me two different times when I traveled to Carlsbad to meet with our venues/florists etc. Each time they were very professional and always on top of everything. Between then, I asked for advice on certain wedding decor and ideas and Monica responded very quickly and gave great advice. The day of our wedding Brittany was very efficient and so calm while directing everyone! She had 3 others with her due to our large group and multiple locations (ceremony and reception were at different venues). Our bridesmaids and groomsmen actually commented how great they were directing everyone and making sure everything ran smoothly. And trust me... My large family is crazy and loud. So trying to handle everyone is probably a headache in itself. Long story short... Hire them. You won't be disappointed! They're so great- honestly. Thank you Create Events for making our wedding run smoothly and perfect.

    Wedding at Cuvier Park

    Monica and her team we're AMAZING! We had the wedding day of our dreams. Her support throughout the entire planning process cannot be beat. She was always one step ahead of us and taking a lot of the tedious legwork on herself. I am a very laid back bride and my husband, Mr. Groom, is more so. Monica took our style, our budget and made wonderful suggestions. She would give us her opinion when we asked or didn't have one our selves, which was very helpful too! The day of, we cannot commend Monica and her team enough. We did not have to worry about a thing. They we're busy making sure the entire day was perfect. They also did an amazing job staying one step ahead of our enthusiastic guests and we cannot thank them enough. A bride should not plan a wedding without a planner. More importantly, no one should ever plan a party with Monica & Create Events!

    I was really disappointed and frustrated in my experience working with Kira. Around 2.5 months…read morebefore my wedding, I reached out to her but she was unresponsive to my email and calls. I was finally able to reach her two weeks later, and she asked me to send her a list of all my vendors again (even though I had already forwarded her all my vendor contracts and information before). Kira did not follow through with my vendors according to the timeline we had agreed upon, and I was uncertain as to when I would be able to get my draft timeline from her. When I expressed my concern and frustration, Kira said that since she was hired for day of, her talking to me two months prior to the wedding was a bonus that she was doing for me, and I should not expect to get a timeline until 2 weeks before the wedding. This seemed irresponsible to me, since when I booked her she had said she was free for calls and texts anytime leading up to the wedding. She said that I was unsympathetic towards personal things that came up for her. I felt like it was unprofessional for her to be telling me about personal things in her life that was causing a disruption in her ability to deliver upon her commitment as a coordinator. I ended up hiring a different coordinator who is also day-of. This coordinator said she always works with her clients 8 weeks before the wedding, creates the timeline 6 weeks beforehand, communicates with vendor 3 weeks beforehand and finalizes everything 1 week beforehand. This was exactly the kind of clarity and responsibility I wanted in a coordinator, and I am afraid that Kira did not deliver on this at all for me.

Things were all ready when we got there and she checked on us a few times throughout the day to make sure if we needed anything. From things like making sure the places we neat ant tightly to making sure the vendors were taken care of and fed, it's so appreciated from our side. Pleasure to work with her and her team. We have worked with a lot of coordinators and other vendors in the past and it's always great to see people who get it and are just Team Bride & Groom. The result at the end is a event that goes really smooth for the bride and groom and that's what it's all about! I was less than five months away from my wedding and really beginning to feel the heat. I emailed her later that day inquiring about what sort of services she provided. She responded promptly and we set up a day to meet. We met at a local coffee shop and discussed everything I needed to know; I asked questions and she gave me answers, and in turn she took notes on every detail of my wedding (thus far). She was professional, warm and friendly and I felt comfortable discussing my special day with someone who seemed to know so much about the business of wedding coordination. I knew as soon as our initial meeting was over I knew that I wanted to work with Jen. I checked with my soon-to-be husband and family and we finalized our decision with a simple contract to use Jen for her "Day Of" coordination. We had a few meetings between then and the wedding, but most of our communication was through email and phone. She visited my venue with me shortly before the wedding to help me smooth out a couple of kinks, and gave me options and ideas for any other problem I had. Fast-forward to our wedding day. Everything went PERFECTLY. I can't even begin to say how grateful I am that we decided to work with Jen. My dad had arrived at the venue hours before I did to help set up, and later couldn't stop expressing how impressed he was with Jen's professionalism. When the rental company, caterers and guests showed up, she directed everyone exactly where they needed to go. I had also wanted to make a cute sign to help mark the path for our guests but hadn't found time; Jen arrived the morning of the wedding with the most adorable sign she made just for us! Such a sweet, simple gesture that meant so much. Our wedding went off without a hitch, I didn't have to think about anything, and she made sure I remembered to eat amongst all the fluster :) We couldn't have been happier! For the rehearsal, and for the big day she was incredible! She had back-up bobby pins to fix a bridesmaids dress when a strap snapped as we were walking in to the venue. She helped us accommodate for traffic, and then once the day started, she took care of everything. My wife or I didn't have to worry about anything, she guided us on where to go when, corralled our parties for pictures, and made sure we always had a beer in hand. Jen and her partner really took away all the stress of the day, and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy it. She was able to work closely with the venue to make sure everything worked, deal with tough conversations, and overall just made everything amazing. Thank you to Jen and Day of Love!

She also arranged a meeting with the florist so that we can discuss the floral arrangements. Her attention to details is remarkable, things we can't think of, she had her in her planning... We did this event during Sept 2021 ( COVID Era) in an outdoor Gazebo, she ensured that the venue is sanitized before the decor starts, keeping safety for everyone at the highest priority!! The Decor was magical, everything came out very beautiful. She also hosted the event. We all had a great time. She is such a…read morejoy to work with and made the entire day seamless (and even that is an understatement). During the months leading up to the wedding, we had a few check-ins with Suzette to see how planning was coming along. She provided a workbook that was so helpful in keeping us on track with our planning timeline and included things I never would have thought of to prepare. It made me feel much more at ease knowing that we were thinking through all the details, even the little ones, well ahead of time. About a week or two leading up to the wedding, Suzette started taking over coordination with the other vendors. She also made sure she was available for our venue walk through and rehearsal at the venue, which was extremely helpful! She provided great guidance on the day of timing, venue set up, ceremony flow and more. She is a true professional and extremely detail oriented. Though I provided Suzette with a general idea of what I was thinking for wedding decorations, I was also flexible with where things would go. Once we got on site on the wedding day, we were truly BLOWN AWAY. Suzette has an eye for design and the decorations and setup looked better than I could have ever imagined. Suzette and her husband Patrick had everything covered and made the entire venue look beautiful. Even though they don't normally do anything related to florals, we had all fake florals. Suzette was really open and flexible in taking on the set up of all the florals for us. Overall, I could not imagine doing our wedding day without Suzette. She was truly the main point of contact for all vendors on the wedding day and the days leading up to it. It allowed us to be fully present with our guests for the entire wedding weekend, which was invaluable. We also didn't have to ask any of our guests or family to help with anything, because she truly took care of it all. If anything went awry on the wedding day, I have no idea because Suzette handled it behind the scenes. She and her husband came and picked up all the boxes of decorations for set-up and packed everything up and delivered back to our hotel room in the evening, so we could go straight to our after party. I even contacted previous couples to make sure they were satisfied with her services and everyone I spoke to raved about her, so after our initial meeting we understood what everyone was talking about. We hired Suzette before the pandemic and even when COVID hit, she kept checking in on me and my fiance. When we approached her about wanting to find a DJ as we didn't know any we were impressed with, she immediately gave us the name of the best DJ. Suzette created a Google Drive for us with EVERY little detail we needed and she needed to make the day smooth. She even helped to chase down some vendors that started to ghost us and kept them on track with making sure it worked out. Suzette and her husband Patrick were amazing on the day of the wedding as well. She continuously fixed my dress the entire night and helped to keep me together when I got to the venue late! She and Patrick decorated the venue beautifully and went above and beyond in helping us, keeping us calm, and helping us have a great day! I've recommended Suzette several times already! On our wedding day, Yoly did a phenomenal job--she executed everything seamlessly and kept the entire event running right on time. We were especially grateful to the team for pivoting so smoothly and getting everyone on the same page when we had to make last-minute changes. Julie is extremely detail-oriented. We started working with her six months before the wedding, and she was always prompt in answering my many questions and helping me think through ideas. Even though we had already negotiated and finalized all of our vendors, we weren't entirely sure how everything would come together. Julie created a very detailed timeline, caught small gaps in our event rentals, and ensured everything stayed on track. When unexpected issues came up with our original rental company just five days before the wedding, we had to switch vendors and push the ceremony back by half an hour. Julie and her team handled the change with ease, keeping everything calm and organized. Thank you so much to both Julie and Yoly for helping make our day absolutely perfect. Plus, she has excellent relationships and connections with the local vendors. Julie doesn't play around either! She tells it how it is and won't sugarcoat things for you. She will let you know if something is a good idea or not but will always side with what you want as a couple. The day of our wedding, we did not notice ANYTHING GO WRONG. If anything did happen, we weren't aware or she fixed it right away. She made the whole day flow flawlessly. I would HIGHLY recommend Julie as your wedding planner. We booked her for the month but honestly, the month service became almost a two year service commitment. She is reasonably priced for her years of expertise and you can't beat her price compared to other wedding planners that may offer less services in their packages. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND for booking her for the month of coordination service. I am a very hands on person so I loved planning my wedding but Julie was the icing on the cake I needed.
