You get there, check in on your phone or kiosk, they call you in to verify your name DOB, and send you on your way. If during this short of an interaction you run into any social "problems" that says something about YOU. Now if your complaint is about Quest Diagnostics as a corporation completely getting rid of the human check-in process then yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you. They have essentially betrayed their core demographic (the aging population) for profit. This is your loved ones, the disabled, the grandparents, the parents stranded with no one to help or speak to. How evil is it that they even have the 'blind or vision impaired' announcement on the TV (which only plays every few minutes by the way) that tells BLIND patients to navigate to the kiosk and swipe with 3 fingers on the tablet. Are the suits mentally all there?! Surely this violates the ADA and the DOJ should crack down on this no?

That lady and Optum now have my care giver, Cedar Saini surgical Staff and the surgeon on hold. All this being said I've not mentioned the EXTRA stress this is causing, I'm 70 and quite healthy for my age, still anesthesia stresses me out. He went over the instructions of the kit for the test I was having done, and already knew what to expect. He asked the right questions - "Are there ice packs with this one?" "Does it need to be centrifuged?" He was even such a pro he knew which cabinet door held my garbage can without looking. The poke itself was right on the money, nearly painless, and without complication. He took the kit with him to do the postal dropoff himself - it was included with his services. One less thing for me to have to do, which was appreciated. We shook hands, said goodbye, and that was that. He did not solicit me for a Yelp review. A lot of service providers will offer deals to customers in hopes of scamming their way into a good review - it's a red flag whenever I see it and it makes me mad for having wasted time reading reviews that were essentially bought. But Andre didn't do that at all, which is why I immediately got on my computer to write him a review anyway. He earned his reviews by being good at what he does. I'd use him again anytime.
