It's interesting too that a neighbor who lives in the area, and who also had her house painted by Ken/Progressive at about the same time, showed me cracks and fading all along her stucco facade. Her contract, signed by Ken M., said the stucco would be first be sealed, and it also listed a "20-year" guarantee against fading or cracking. I needed my 2 story house painted and it was a big job with multiple colors. I was impressed early on because they showed up with a massive crew and really got the job kicked off. As with any large job, we had trouble with spills and breakage but they were willing to send people out to make it right on more than one occasion. This is a 5 star review for Progressive Painting, LLC owned by Mr. Ken Muhammad. I actually met Billy, their salesman, as he was turning around in the cul-de-sac in front of my home in Cave Creek. My wife and I had just talked about having our house painted, so I invited him in for my free estimate. Billy was a warm, friendly man in uniform and a new company truck. He looked the project over and said he was quite new with the company so, once he realized we were serious, he called Ken, the owner and expert, who came right over. He showed us all aspects of the job he recommended, gave a very fair price and I signed the contract. The following morning at 0600 my property was a parking lot of Progressive painter's trucks. Edgar was the foreman and I saw quickly how organized the entire crew was and how much they all liked and respected Edgar. Progressive Paint, LLC Met with Ken on Father's Day, we walked around the entire house and he explained exactly what would be done and what he could repair or add to improve the look of the house. His proposal was very reasonable and included repairs we had been wanting for some time but had been putting off, original estimate 3 days. After talking with the wife and doing some quick checks on the internet, I agreed to the proposal and scheduled for next day. Should note here that the last time the house was painted, when it was built in 1998. House is single story, 3200 sq ft. Tough part was picking out a paint color since we live in an HOA and had to use one of their paint schemes, and on-line samples just don't really show the colors well. Oh well that was our problem, not Kens. Finally made our decision on Monday morning, but Ken was flexible and still made it happen. His paint crew showed up on Monday June 16th at 6:30 in the morning (as promised). Met the team lead Kevin (who is also Ken's son), he was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Was expecting 3-4 painters at most to work on the house. I was watching from inside the house, and more and more painters just kept showing up, finally the crew of 15 went to work... the cleared around the base of the house, moved patio furniture and everything that was close to the house, and covered it to make sure it would not get paint on it. They masked all the windows, roof tile, stone work, patio, walkways, etc. They also met my dog Tillie (120lb Newfoundland) and gave her pets and love; she was happy and slept the rest of the day. Then they really got busy, cleaned all the surfaces, sprayed de-chalking, repaired all cracks, broken plaster and sealer on all stone work, plus sprayed primary on the trouble/repair areas. The also repair/replace the dry wall on the underside of patio and front door areas from previous water damage. They also re-stucco'd my decorative knee walls/planters on the patio. Then they go to work painting the entire houses exterior, front view fence (60ft) and rear-view fence (250ft) the chosen house color. They also painted the front door and garage door a 2nd trim color. Everything looked wonderful. Now the great part, started at 6:30.... Started clean-up at 12:38, and where completely done by 3:30... including an add-on of water sealing my flat patio roof. They cleaned up everything, put everything back where it belonged (thanks to pictures taken before removing). Put all the rocks, pots, plants and my wife's vegetable containers back. Cleaned all possible paint spills. After the left, didn't look like the had every been there... other than the house look fantastic. Just to let you know that I am a real customer, would give Progressive Painting, Ken, and especially Kevin 10 stars if allowed... but we will give them the full five and then some. Ken Muhammad not only promised a professional inside and outside painting job but also removing any furniture (for a price a course). While we were out of town, Ken informs us that they would not be moving the things because all the good stuff was taken. Their bid was definitely not the lowest (actually very high now that I have been researching more)- and quality was very poor! Inside they sprayed directly over switches and plates, didn't tape off! They over-sprayed on some fixtures and windows but the worst of all is trying to get a hold of them to finish.... impossible. They did not leave all of the paint colors for us to do touch up (which is definitely needed) and will not respond to tell us the colors. The spray job was light (outside and in) and overall it has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. The price was a little more than other bids that I received but when Ken and his sales rep walked around the exterior, they added free services to paint my Vega posts and mailbox a complimentary color to match my new color design. They came out at 6:30am. The Foreman knocked on my door to introduce himself and to let me know that they would start unloading supplies and start masking to back of my home. Update... Progressive called and apologized for the misunderstanding as they had office staff out due to COVID. They set up a person to come out and touch up paint. They were very polite and the fix looks really nice. We started on a good note with progressive. But... I had to ask them to come back to finish painting areas they missed (obvious misses) I knew they were in a hurry but I do not like to be the person who checks to see if the job is done. 2.5 months after painted large area on a front column peeled off and I called and left messages for them to come by and fix. I did not think it would be a difficult issue as they were painting neighbors house. No call back after initial discussion and I called 3 more times. I will fix the paint myself but cannot recommend unless you have a lot of time to watch the work carefully yourself. Quality is not a priority... read more

From the quote negotiation, a visit from the owner of the company, the crew foreman and the INCREDIBLY hard working crew, they completed the exterior repairs and painting of our home per commitment of 1 day (a team of 7). WOW... this was an impressive effort given our home is not small and the project occurred during an extreme heat wave! The foreman was attentive to concerns, and the crew members were polite, friendly, and worked very well with each other throughout the entire day! As a side note, the paint was upgraded to Sherwin Williams SuperPaint. The stucco repairs, and the much needed roof decking repair/reseal appear to blend in seamlessly. I contracted with this company to paint the interior of my home. I was not given an opportunity to really inspect the job before they left. Later I dicovered several things that weren't done. A large stain was left on my carpet from the workers spilling a drink cooler. Dimmer switch knobs were thown out, as well as my printer cord. Doors only painted on one side. Electrical outlet broken. Areas of the baseboards not painted. Tear in the kitchen linoleum when they moved the refrigerator and a scratch acoss the door of the refrigerator. The owner, Ken, said he would make everything right, but everytime he said he would come out he was a no show, no call, nothing. After 4 weeks he has said he would contact me 4 times. They solicited me over the phone and made an appointment on 12/4 to quote me. Called on 12/2 and explained on the phone that their guy was unable to be there and we moved it to 12/7. A David Griffen showed up on 12/7 and quoted me $3,800 to paint the outside of my house. Price would have been higher but his workers needed the work. I reminded him that I was told paint was included as an incentive to sign up. He then said, "then your price is even better!" I asked for a written quote and he took my email and said I'd have it in an hour! 12/10, three days later, I called David and told him I never received the quote. He said he would immediately take care of it. Nothing ever arrived. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which Progressive boasts about on the business cards, shirts, and truck. On 12/5, I received a call from someone whoo said he owner Progressive. I explained what had transpired. He said he was out of town but would personally come to my house with the quote on 12/19. He said they were very busy and didn't know how long it would take to paint my house, He did not ever show up. I heard from BBB that the owner of Progressive responded to my complaint by saying that THEY decided not to present me with a quote! I guess they also chose not to let me know. I noticed each morning that Mr. Muhammad would hold a brief meeting each day before coming into the house. They were very organized and I did not have to leave the house while we were working. We hired Progressive last August to paint the outside of our home. Though it took longer than the initial three days that they promised, we did have a sprinkle or two that delayed them, so we were ok with that. At the end of the job, we walked around and did a cursory inspection with the foreman and we were pleased with the job. But the next day we found several areas they'd missed: That's when the aggravation began. My husband must have called a couple of dozen times over the next two weeks, only to get an answering machine. Once, he did reach the owner, who promised to send someone out the next day. That never happened. After at least two months of trying, a woman finally picked up the call, apologized, and sent a painter the next day. The man agreed things needed touching up and promised to be back in a day or two. Four months later, we are still waiting! Repeated phone calls to the company have gone unanswered and we've pretty much given up on ever getting the rest of the work done. So much for their 3-year warranty that was touted so ardently by their estimator. Once they've been paid, they've moved on and you'll be lucky if they answer your calls. read more
