First, there was some miscommunication about how long the work would take. Second, the work done was poor quality. Looking at other reviews, I expected the work to be done well. I think they sent the B or C team because he quality doesn't match up with the other reviews. Jeff was nice and understanding and he did offer to come take a look, but I was already having the drapes installed and could not take on any more delays. It was a work I expected to be done right the first time and it just did not meet expectations.

They were able to schedule the work for just a couple of weeks out, and gave us a price we were very happy with. Also estimated that the crew would finish in 5 days. They finished today, on time, and we couldn't be happier! Very professional workers, detail oriented, worked hard. Protected patio furniture, windows, and all fixtures with great care. Beautiful work! Two men worked all week, a couple of others also came during the week to keep us on schedule. House looks amazing, and we couldn't be happier.

AZ West Painting was the best decision we could have made for getting our kitchen and bathroom…read morecabinets refinished. When we met with Cris we immediately felt like he was the one. He's very kind and explained everything involved in the process. He is clearly proud of the work he has performed and showed us beautiful examples of recently completed jobs. We got bids from numerous companies. Some were very high priced. Some in the middle. AZ West Painting was on the more reasonable end. But AZ West Painting does a much more involved process than several of the much more expensive options, so they were the clear winner. Cris and his crew arrived at the date and time they were scheduled and got the job done well within the estimated time of completion. In fact I think they were done possibly a day early. They spent a good part of the time repairing damaged cabinets and prepping for the actual painting. They installed new hardware of our choosing, they installed crown molding. After the painting was completed we were floored. It made our 19 year old house look brand new. Cris and his crew did an amazing job and I cannot recommend him enough. If you need to get cabinets refinished this is the company to choose. I've attached 2 before photos which are from the MLS listing so they don't look nearly as bad as they actually did. The after pictures speak for themselves.

I would not place my trust in AZ West Painting under any circumstances. The painting for my project…read morewas scheduled to commence first thing next week, but Chris decided to cancel our verbal agreement at the last moment, all due to a misunderstanding with the contractor, who has also been quite troublesome. After a phone call with the contractor, Chris voiced his concern regarding my payment(s) to the contractor for a city requirement before he could initiate the painting, essentially accusing me of failing to pay the contractor for the project. To begin with, you do not have the authority to dictate when I should pay for a service that you are not delivering. Furthermore, he was unaware that I had already completed two of the four payments for the project, and instead, he immediately took the contractor's side. Chris accused me without taking the time to verify the facts or engage in a mature dialogue about the situation, and instead insisted that I resolve this issue with the contractor. I tried to clarify that I had already made the necessary payments to the contractor and expressed my confusion at being accused of this, offering to provide proof of payments, to which Chris replied, "Okay, I'm out. Good luck." I find this behavior to be exceedingly rude and unprofessional. How ironic that they advertise Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed on their website. Business 101: Customer service should be provided before, during, and after the purchase of a service. I will certainly not be reaching out to AZ West Painting for any future projects.

They're professional, knowledgeable, honest, and truly committed to doing the job the right way. For anyone scrolling through the negative reviews... let's just say some folks want champagne results on a tap-water budget. Deferred maintenance matters. If a community or homeowner hasn't invested in its walls, surfaces, or infrastructure for years, no painter can magically undo that with a bargain-bin budget. Expecting a miracle without proper prep or materials is unrealistic. Being fiscally responsible is not the same thing as being cheap. Prep, repair, and product recommendations are there for a reason. Fun fact: the terms and expectations are clearly outlined in the contract that is signed PRIOR to the job being scheduled. CertaPro has always been upfront, educational, and clear about expectations. When you follow the proper scope and let them do the job the right way, their work is fantastic.
