After getting estimates from 10 contractors for a 9 room + hall paint job, Glen (the owner) came in nearly 59.8% lower than the highest bid! Now, one company came in a bit lower, but I had to move everything away from the walls., whereas other than taking pictures off the wall, Icon moved everything else. Ironically, Icon was the last contractor that I contacted, but was the first to respond and made a same day appointment to give me an estimate. And, Glen was very prompt in answering my questions during the decision process. Now, while crew punctuality maybe an issue for some, Glen and his crew are very courteous, polite and friendly. They did a really good job on painting the baseboards and the walls using 7 different colors, while keeping the window frames and radius the original color (Eggshell White). However, I can't give a 5 Star rating for the following reasons: one of the crew broke a knickknack and didn't tell me about it (easily fixed by Glen); Like tomato sauce, paint splatter can get in areas where you least expect it (on a table, 2 window sills, 2 dressers, in the tub, and on a box, towel and pillow case), so a bit more care could have been used to ensure stuff is properly covered (luckily, the pain is water-based, so cleaning was pretty easy with either water, or Denatured Alcohol); Finally, during clean up, they got paint on 2 hoses and the outdoor faucet (again, easy to clean), but a bit more care could have been used. Glenn and his team were highly recommended to me by a family friend for a direly needed exterior paint job on my '98 home in Peoria, AZ. I called Glenn during the holiday season and he came out within a day to give me a very reasonable quote on my home. I had originally planned to have quite a few separate quotes completed before making a decision, however with the prior recommendation and the quoted price I decided to move forward! Glenn and his crew came in and cleaned/prepped the house, fixed all stucco cracks and imperfections, painted the base and then finished the job with all accents etc. The process was very quick and the work was excellent!! The house literally looks brand new and is the new 'gem' of the neighborhood! I've already had neighbors stopping at the house for a glancing view and a few stop by to comment on how great it looks! Communication was excellent (despite my personal phone issues), emails, text, calls... you name it, Glenn was quick to respond during nights, weekends and over the holidays. Be sure to have a color combination/idea in mind prior to scheduling, Icon will match any combination you choose and can match a neighbors exact house color if need be. I had a garage floor epoxied by Glenn and his crew and was told the material he was using was good for 10 years, marine quality he said. After only a few months the garage floor began peeling from the hot tires. I called and emailed him many times said he would be out he finally showed after many promises and said he would fix it but he would need to order the product. He said there was a dispute with the manufacturer and he waiting for their response. He actually said at one point he didn't feel like he should have to pay for it because it was the manufacturer of the products fault. I don't really care just want it fixed. He finally called me and said they had the product and would be coming out to redo the floor but never showed. A bunch of calls and emails later no response. This went on for several months and eventually saw his contractor license was expired so didn't pursue it anymore. Now I see it's back on so figured I'd put this review in. I found him thru nextdoor needless to say he doesn't advertise anymore and by the last few reviews my experience looks more like the norm than an outlier. Too bad seemed like a good guy His work initially is good but if you ever need him to come back or honor a warranty doesn't look like that will happen. read more

We went with Icon Painting because they had painted my parents' house shortly before our job. At first, Glenn was communicative and met with me for a quote. The price was reasonable so we agreed to proceed. The paint job itself is mediocre. The trim, which was included in the price, was neglected throughout the house. He and his team were supposed to return to finish the job and touch ups, but have missed two agreed upon times. I have stopped trying to make this work and my husband and I will finish ourselves. Ultimately, this was very disappointing. If you choose to use this company, my strong recommendation is to only pay the final installment once the work is fully completed. Glenn painted, repaired some dry wall, and cool decking. Workmanship guarantee was 2 years. I notified him December of 2017 notifying him with pictures of three specific issues: 1. Patio ceiling peeling paint/dry wall failure. 2. Cool deck repair fractured.PS. He is not licensed to repair cool decking. 3. Incomplete painting of garage doors. He has blown me off not 1...not 2....not 3, but 6 times as of Feb. 19, 2018. He agreed to meet with me on that Monday around 1pm. I called and asked him shortly after 1 pm and asked when he planned to arrive. He said within the hour. 2 pm came and went. No Glenn. When I texted him around 430 asking him if he was on his way, he replied that he was already at my house and no one answered. Really??????? So frustrating. He knew I was waiting! I returned texted and called twice. No answer. I will be filing a formal complaint now with the Registrar of Contractors. I would not recommend Icon Painting. Unprofessional. I believe he never intended to complete the work, but instead wanted to run the clock out on my warrantee. read more

We contacted multiple paint crews to get quotes for the interior of our new home. From start to finish, Icon Painting, and Glenn, the owner, were a joy to work with and made the process straightforward. First, Glenn's quote was by far the most reasonable. He came in almost 20% below the nearest low bid. Furthermore, while it was a chore to track down some of the painting companies (leaving multiple messages, waiting for days or weeks for them to have availability for a quote), Glenn was extremely prompt and responsive. He answered my phone call and indicated he'd be in my area between jobs later the same day and that he could give me a quote at that time. When I asked when Glenn would be available, he told me if we wanted they could start the following morning. Simply amazing. Second, the quality: absolutely fantastic. My wife and I are extremely picky people. We actually painted the main living area ourselves with family members initially, and we were disappointed in the results. There were noticeable roller lines, sloppy corners, etc. Glenn's crew came in and fixed our terrible work. Our corners now have perfect straight lines, the walls no longer have roller marks, and they touched up all our mistakes. Finally, Glenn made it very simple to work with him. After the initial quote, we mentioned that we forgot we wanted the inside of the front door painted. He threw that in for next to nothing. Then when we wanted the door slightly different, he was willing to accommodate that as well. I'm very happy to give Icon my strongest possible recommendation. I came across Icon thru nextdoor.com. They were touting epoxy garage floor for $500. I had them do an epoxy garage floor with a product he said would last 10 years and was the best available, same thing they use in the marine industry it was $1000. After a few months the epoxy started peeling due to Hot Tire which is why I went with the superior product he recommended. After going back and forth thru emails and phone calls he said he feels he shouldn't have to pay to fix it and the manufacturer is giving him a hard time. Yet in an email he had stated that the manufacturer had sent him new product. Maybe he used it on someone else. Not sure if he is around anymore under Icon since the website is no longer up. I was more impressed when he executed on every one of his promises. His staff was courteous, professional and clean. Every night they picked up their garbage.
