This is now this is the fourth pair of frames that I have gotten. It has to be the same frame because of the lenses. As I said this is the fourth time it broke. I contacted them and the woman in charge didn't call me back until I had to leave somewhat of a nasty message. Immediately I got a text message stating that they were sorry they don't have them. They have to contact the manufacturer and I would have to pay an $85 fee. I absolutely refuse to pay the fee and now it's two weeks. They said someone will get back to me from corporate and nothing. I would certainly go back to the doctor. I would never ever buy another pair of glasses from them. I would take my prescription and go elsewhere.

Unfortunately, dumb corporate policies are going to lose them my family as customers. My issue is the corporate policy for "price match" that is not really a price match. To illustrate, say you are ordering a year's supply of contacts from MyEyeDr, the price is $900, and your insurance will pay $100 of it. Checking the prices from other suppliers you find the lowest price you can get is $650 for the exact same lenses. You ask MyEyeDr to price match, which they will claim to do, but they do not really match, when you compare apples to apples. You see, MyEyeDr policy is to price match AFTER your insurance benefit, so you will pay $650 out of pocket even thought your insurance paid them another $100. If you bought the same exact lenses at the alternative vendor for $650, you could submit the receipt to your eye insurance and get $100 reimbursement, net cost to you is $550 out of pocket. This is not a price match in my view and actually seems like consumer fraud. I tried to explain this to the person from corporate who called. I held off on posting anything, hoping they'd do the right thing. They didn't, so I'm warning others to read the fine print and do the math. Sorry MyEyeDr, you have seen the last of our family of 5 and I will tell everyone I know to beware of the bait and switch price matching.

However, since the sellout of the practice there have been changes in operations of the business that are concerning. There are repeated reminders sent to your email and text telling you your exam is due. The reminders are relentless in time and do not stop until you shout out to staff to remove them. The staff seem to lack a certain professionalism in the fitting of glasses and appear to be more concerned with telling one how good they look rather then checking on fit. When picking up glasses they no longer have you read anything to double check if they are appropriate for you and you are no longer given eye care washes via spray for cleaning.

The medication made the difference between possibly needing surgery for the underlying infection. In addition, Dr. Ulc gave me specific home treatments that helped expedite healing. I received the glasses about 1.5 weeks later. The casuals were ok, the sports were another issue. Because the sports were rounded, the progressives did not work. I think that should have been known before I was sold a 1000.00 pair of sport sunglasses. Another 1.5 weeks later, I got bifocal sport sunglasses, with another expensive frame. The distance/bifocal lenses were wrong. Another issue is polarization, the lenses looked to be scorched, or damaged at several different points of the lenses. I was told by the office manager that was normal. I've bought polarized glasses before, and never seen that type of a defect. I waited another 1.5 weeks for a single vision lense sport sunglasses, they too were polarized, but no marks, interesting. However the long distance vision in the lenses does not appear to be correct either. I have done some research and found that polarization in some glasses affects the vision. Another miss? So, I went from a rounded feature that did not work for progressive type lenses, to a bifocal that had the wrong strength lenses, to a single vision lense that still appears to not be correct. I asked the sales consultant, is there a difference in price for the lense changes? I was told no change according to my insurance. Hm, unfortunate I told her. After waiting a month and a week, my sport sunglasses do not appear to be correct. I like Dr. Strebig, but the office staff is not so willing to mitigate problems with care and concern. I've never had any issues like this before, and not will to go back to that type of run-around again. I have been a customer here for a few years, did not lose my cool or disrespect anyone, not my style, but I do not feel I was treated well as a customer. After 2 unsuccessful visits to other places I was directed here. Wish I had gone here first! They accepted Medicare and quickly helped me to buy 2 new pairs of glasses, one mostly covered by Medicare. There was a $30 co-pay, which was great for my bifocals and the other pair was reasonable. Now I have both pairs ordered and will soon be wearing my new ones. Everyone at this shop was very helpful and friendly. I'm letting everyone I know about this place.

They do her exam & we go sit down for them to order the glasses and they gave me paperwork for me sign something saying insurance will cover this and that... please keep in mind that I stated numerous times that the insurance doesn't sound right as my husbands insurance through work was no longer active. They said it's pulling up so let them pay. Okay cool. I go to sign paperwork and my daughter's first name is spelled correctly, her last name isn't. My daughter's birthdate is wrong... they initially told me that the woman just copied it over wrong & it's fine... then she begins looking back and forth a bit more closely and finds that the last name is spelled this "incorrect" way... then they ask me if my name is Crystal and I say no. Suddenly everything that was covered through insurance needs to be paid. We cancelled ordering glasses with the understanding that I would just order online and then they tried to charge me for today's visit. They tried justifying it by saying they were reimbursing me for something from our previous visit that should never have been ordered to begin with. I made it clear that I wasn't paying because she has insurance that they apparently no longer take & it's not on me that they ran the wrong one. I did walk out with my refund from the previous visit and I plan to reschedule my daughter's visit with another business. Any business that is okay with brushing off the fact that they were running the wrong insurance as if it's no big deal and has still tried to run it in the beginning is shady. Really makes me wonder what they've been up to. I do intend to report them because this is not okay.
