I wanted to give a special thank you to "Alisha".  When I came in to pick up my glasses with new prescription they were incorrect.  This time I worked with Alisha.  Alisha realized what the problem was, remeasured and ordered new lenses which when they came in were correct.  When I came in a few weeks later with new sunglass frames that I needed lenses for, I specifically asked for Alisha.  She went above and beyond to ensure the lenses were measured correctly and helped me pick out a color for the lenses.  When I picked them up I could see perfectly and the color was great.  Alisha is a pleasure to work with and very professional.   Thank you all!

My husband had recently come and had a nice experience so I decided to give them a try too. Making an appointment of your choice by day and time was beyond easy using their online portal- I LOVE when an office offers this- so much easier than calling and that back and forth. They confirmed my appt by email and phone as well so I knew it all went through. The office is very clean and ALL staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous during my visit. The doctor also took her time with me when I was deciding over my prescription which I greatly appreciated. The front staff was super helpful with going over my benefits and insurance coverage as well as options for glasses and specials they were running. My contacts were delivered to my home within a few days and my glasses were ready for pick up in less than one week. I was extremely happy with the doctor, the staff, and my glasses and contact lenses. So convenient and now I have a new eye doctor!

What is funny, is that bad employees see no connection between bad service and a future of no paycheck. You know why? They don't care. And they have never had to work to earn the money to PAY the ungrateful employee who is destroying their business. I went by Vision Shoppe today after seeing 4.5 on Yelp (my barometer 4.5stars 99% of the time means 'great experience ahead) because I hoped to find a local eyeglass place cause I bought a house in Newtown and am trying to shop small business locally. I wanted to order contacts, and replace two pairs of lenses (read: high margin item) with a new prescription. So, I arrived, and the front doors look like what you think an Ebola ward would look like. (I was tightly masked up) Signs plastered STOP!!! STAY IN YOUR CAR! in multiple places and a phone number. I had parked my car around the corner in the shade and was on foot. Of course, the door was locked, why wouldn't it be with so many dire warnings. So, through the store window, through the plexiglass shield at her desk, and from behind her mask (in the store ALONE as far as I could see) the receptionist could only bring herself to lift up the handset on the phone and point to it. New customer, probably $1500 to spend, I took my phone and then started to dial and though - she can't even get up and come say hello through the glass and have some sort of human interaction? Neither I nor my money is that transactional and if I wanted to have an experience through the glass, I would either get a friend who is in prison or try and see if Hannibal Lector is in an institution nearby. Until then, I will find a different eyeglass place where customers are human and not an infection waiting to happen.

I have worn my new glasses for about five months and I noticed trouble seeing far distances. I recently misplaced my new glasses and used my old pair and noticed right away how well I could see driving not only at night but during the day. I tried to call Mr. Lerner's office several times, leaving multiple messages without any response. I would not use Mr. Lerner's services or purchase any products from him.

And he explained why he was doing certain things and what I should expect while he was doing it (which makes you feel comfortable). The exam did take about 2 hours, but it was well worth it! He was able to see me quickly, no waiting weeks to get an appointment. And being open on Saturdays is always a plus :)

When I was seen for my appointment I sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes and upon inquiring, was told that the first patient was late and it would be another 10 minutes. As a result, I needed to end my business with this company. The staff was nice but their procedures need to be reviewed.

Unfortunately, the business was sold to My Eye Doctor and although Dr. Way is still there, the homey feel of the business is gone as are the great selection of frames they used to have. The last time I was there the frames were from a company owned business and they were horrible. I will still see Dr. Way, but get a prescription and go elsewhere for my eyeglasses, which is sad because they used to have a great selection before it was sold to My Eye Doctor.
