Tables are a little pricy, one table is $1.50 per game which is fine but all the others are $12 an hour. While it was dead when we were there, we were literally the only ones, there also isn't much seating aside from around the bar. Bathrooms are connected to the bowling alley so it can get pretty messy in there from all the patrons on the bowling side. Another downside is they have no music! They have a touchtunes machine but that's it. If your not forking out $$$$ for songs, they have nothing playing. Overall, if you're looking to play some pool, this place could be an option. Just make sure to get the $1.50 per game table and not the hourly ones.

Enter Mother Lode. Words do no justice, this little house of heaven is so magical, I felt like I was in a tv show. A girl was up for karaoke but was outside, the whole bar shouted IN UNISON, "Hey Kristy!" Great patrons, everybody I struck up a conversation with became fast friends. Diverse music selection, great dj and most of all, the zone of karaoke performance makes you feel like a star. Classic, classic dive bar. I asked for an ipa, the badass woman that looked like she'd seen some shit in her time replied, "We got bud, coors...Sierra Nevada and blue moon, those what you're lookin for?" You think you know what you're getting into. But then, there are the "Mother Lode" experiences...The kind that hit you sideways and make you question why you ever bothered with fancy hotel bars in the first place. My friends and I were in town for a conference, and we decided to hit The Mother Lode for one final "quick beer" before retreating to our hotel. Spoiler alert: "One quick beer" is a lie we all tell ourselves. This place successfully begged me to stay way longer than I anticipated, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of the trip. The secret sauce here is the owner, Lorna. She is a total gem. She was warm, friendly, and she treated our group like we were the only people in the building. She actually took the time to school us on the history of the space. Turns out, she's been running the it since 1981, and that the place was a old-school general store outpost back in the day. We walked in not knowing what to expect, but we were greeted with actual smiles by a crowd of about a dozen locals who were busy dominating the pool table and crushing some karaoke. Instead of the usual "you're not from around here" glare, they treated us like regulars from the moment we stepped in. If you're looking for a spot with genuine soul and an environment that refuses to let you leave, thank the dive bar gods for The Mother Lode. It's easily one of the best experiences I've had in a long time.

The place definitely was not as packed as what I remembered. Parking was outright horrible (was there a game or event on a Saturday at 7-8-ish?). Regardless, the focus is on the experience with the establishment. I came back a 2nd time to once again support my homie Tony. The staff working there that night were very friendly. Walking in, I felt right at home like I was about to watch a movie or something with everyone greeting me and with light conversations. When my homie and I walked into the main room, there was ample seating. I assume things are arranged depending on ticket sales (my first visit had a completely different layout). The staff taking our orders were awesome! I did notice once everyone arrived there was a slight slowdown on being checked on for additional orders, but its understandable - I get there is a limited amount of staff to help / cook. I personally cannot speak for the food this time around. I just ordered the minimum 2 items (drinks). But my homie had no complaints. Overall, other than the lack of parking I had a great time - I intend to drop by again in the future.

On weekends (Friday & Saturday) they have shows at 7 PM & 9:30 PM. They usually have 3 comedians with their own segment. They may not be 5 star comedians - but you can enjoy the show and make it a 5 star night. The tickets are -$25 each with a 2 drink minimum. The drink prices are reasonable with a decent selection. The finger food menu is pretty good also. We ordered the hummus plate and chicken sliders. The sliders were a decent size. The first comedian is the "regular" local guy. He's just ok and I'm pretty sure I can take his spot but it's all about having a good time together. He gets the night going and pumps up tips for the staff. The headliner was good and had many laughs but on this night, the second comedian was even better. My vice in life is not being able to remember names but he was funny.
