For one thing, its ambience is a cut above other growler bars I've been to. It's more like a bar with great selection of beer, a host of regulars, and inviting interior. Daily specials are posted behind the bar. Two TVs for your viewing pleasure. Plenty of seating given its relatively small size. And a great selection of local and regional beers. But what really sold me was that as we walked through the door the bartender was carrying a bowl of water for my small dog to one of the tables. Along with a dog biscuit. Food? Other than dog biscuits I'm not sure. I didn't notice any snacks available but I didn't really look. There is a small assortment of soft drinks. But what will really bring me back next time I'm in town is the hospitality the bartender show to my small dog. Jax and I thank you.

The menu consists of more than just pizza, in fact many people near us had salads for their main course. We chose a gluten free crust pizza with meats (ham, pepperoni & sausage). The soda selection is quite limited (Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, a pink lemonade and unknown sodas. The situation wasn't helped by the fact that the machine's ice dispenser was broken on a hot evening. We chose to sit outside to enjoy our meal at one of the super long picnic tables. Each probably sits 12+ patrons comfortably. Great area for kids to run around nearby so as you would assume, lots of young families. It seems to be a great meeting place for families & groups. The biggest downside to our dining experience was the outside trash can. Patrons cleaned up after themselves & the trash can was overflowing. I chose to go inside to throw our trash away and to inform staff of the trash situation. (No need having all that trash near your tables & front door) The staff informed me "we don't touch that. That's the City of Kyle's responsibility. They pick up on Saturday nights." Unfortunate that my visit was 6pm on a Saturday night. I can only imagine how messy the entire area will be by 9pm. I hope that the owners and management can figure out a way to handle this issue since the majority of the trash I saw inside & outside of the trash can was from their patrons.

The concept is quite similar to Yard Bar, right down to the mulch. The bar offers canned beer, wine, cider, sodas, and water. The restrooms are porta-potties, but the one I used was clean. The park features many large trees and plenty of shade. Three Rufferees were present at all times, and I thought the use of walkie-talkies was a nice touch. The front desk informs the Rufferees of the dogs' names, which is quite cute. I do wish the bar provided water for humans; instead, you have to purchase a can of Liquid Death.
