I had a $6k Ferrari wheel that needed repaired. No one in Indianapolis or Chicago would touch it. About 10 shops told me it was impossible to repair and the finish couldn't be matched and the wheel would crack duein. I saw a YouTube video of Proformance and I gave them a call. I worked with Will. He looked over about 50 pictures and was confident in his abilities to repair it. I mailed him the wheel. In a week I got it back. The wheel is absolutely flawless and only needed .75oz when balancing. According to the tire shop, repaired wheels normally need 3oz to balance. The finish matches perfectly. The two piece wheel was sealed like from the factory. Constant communication from Will through the process. All for $250...? What?! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Working with Will and Proformance Industries is by far one of the best most memorable consumer experiences I have had. I'm getting married in 2 hours and I still am choosing to write this review due to how ecstatic I am about the whole process. Incredible craftsmanship, customer service, and pricing. I'll start with a word of caution to anyone getting body work done here; you must look over your car thoroughly after getting body work done. I had used Proformance for body work before, but their most recent job was complete trash. As an introduction, my car was hit in the driver side rear quarter panel and I gave it to Proformance to repair the damage. I was unfortunately out of state for a few months and so I was unable to pick up the car myself. When I arrived home and saw the car, I was in shock of how bad the bodywork was. It made no sense that the body and paint work could be so poor after they had the car for many months. Initially it seemed like they had forgotten to wetsand, but after looking closer there were many more issues. The color match of the car was way off, the painted areas had almost no shine to them whatsoever, there were tape lines in the paintwork, drips on the door and even raised circles from where they pulled the panel and failed to finish the bondo properly. After contacting Mario, I was told multiple times that he would do the job over again for no charge and pay for the car's transport. Now a long time later, I have made five or six attempts and left messages for Proformance, and they have not returned a single call. The car's resale value is now being poorly affected by the horrible bodywork on the driver's side and Proformance still does not return any of my calls. I will be updating this review soon with pictures of the nightmarish body and paint work. read more

While most people gravitate towards the mundane,and your typical shop that either overcharges their "customers" or really don't have a true idea of what they're in fact doing as a legitimate shop, Mario and his crew stand alone as the IDEAL LOCATION/TRUE BODY SHOP. Let me take a moment to reintroduce these guys for anyone NOT in the know. Don't waste your time anywhere else. GO HERE. Period! As for my personal experience, I had a truly frustrating situation that I had unknowingly been dealing with, and after purchasing a brand new tire...low and behold it was in fact NOT my tire...but my wheel / rim. Let me be clear by stating that the tire purchase was not through this shop. However, After a long search, calls, emails yadda yadda yadda I finally landed on Proformance Industries right here in New Rochelle; which transitioned into an email, and later a phone call. The nature of this review is to really expand and un-wrap the true definition of not only professionalism, but a true auto-shop experience, you know, like your grandad or pop took you to?! Yea, you know that spot. Well, as for me this was exactly that. After literally 1 phone call I was able to take notice of the very easiness, family nature that these guys embody, and that Mario exemplified as he took his time to explain, answer all my questions, and not rush through what would be to some as just another phone call. Fast forward to today, where I was not only able to get an immediate / same day reservation to take a look at the problem, which was a cracked rim on my 328i x-drive, but a SAME DAY fix. The seemingly easy transition for these guys to assess the actual damage, come up with a solution, show me the issue, and come up with a more than reasonable cost was a true breath of fresh air to put it lightly. To put this very lightly, I was in and out of the shop in about an hour, WITH my wheel / rim fixed, and ZERO HEADACHE! Mario and all of the staff at Proformance are so kind. They don't overcharge, they fix things properly and professionally, and they make the experience as painless as they can. The only drawback to me is a lack of communication. I brought my wheel in on a Friday to get the rim repaired. I was told to come for it the next day. I tried calling to make sure it was ready but there was no answer and online it says they are closed on Saturdays. I decided not to risk driving over there just to have them be closed so I went in on Monday morning around 9:45am instead. The wheel wasn't ready. It took another hour and the exchange made me think they were doing the repair while I waited. I am confused. I should have called before coming in to make sure it was ready but I thought there was no way it wouldn't be ready by Monday if he told me to get it on Saturday. So here we go again. Last monday driving to work hit a pothole the size on a toddler (new york highways) bent another rim( driver side) drove on it for a week. Couldn't get off work for a fix. Great shop! I had a small scratch on my front left and front right rims. After getting quoted a ridiculous price at my dealership, I looked to independent shops. Given all the horror stories of independent shops, I made sure to do as much research as possible before deciding on a shop. I found proformance via forum reviews (the M forums and planet9) and on yelp. They had glowing reviews everywhere and I decided to go with them. When I first approached them via email, Mario responded very quickly. He gave me a very reasonable quote immediately. I don't have much knowledge of rim repairs but Mario patiently explained his process and was extremely knowledgeable. When I brought the car to the shop, he even showed me around the inside where he was working on a 458 and other exotics worth twice as much as mine. Despite this, he took his time with my relatively small repair, even going the extra step to polish my wheels and give it an OEM finish before delivering it to me. I have to make a long trip to see him but it is definitely worth it. I love my car and am very picky about handing the keys off to someone. Great shop, they know what they're doing and charge reasonable prices for the quality of work you receive. Examples of knowing what your doing include NOT using a screwdriver to remove old wheel weights, torquing lug nuts back down as per factory specs, using a road force balancer, and using black wheel weights on black wheels. I spent a good 30 minutes speaking to Mario and it's clear he knows what he's doing and does things the right way. I will continue to use from now on. read more
