I was…read moreexcited at first to see it in a new look when I picked up the truck, but after a couple of days, I checked the wheels and saw some flaws in the paint; two of them had issues with thin paint in the center wheel lug area. I contacted the shop, and they offered to repair it. They kept my car for another 4 days, and when I went back after, I was told they had to redo all the wheels, and I trusted them that the issue was fixed. Then, I got back home and saw the same issue: thin paint in the same area. I am frustrated and tired of bringing the truck back and forth to this shop. It seems they don't have a staff member with quality control experience to check the wheels if they are done correctly the first time. Now, I am still waiting for them to redo the paint on the same wheel for the third time. If you don't know anything about quality workmanship, you might miss the flaws in their work. For all the trouble I have gone through with this shop, I regret not buying a new set of wheels instead. I don't like giving negative reviews; 3x repairing the same issues is not acceptable. The manager accepted that the failed paint job was their fault. In my opinion, based on my experience, their staff lacks training!

Extremely friendly & great prices & the rim was perfectly round, super job. I spoke with the owner, he's very likeable, he's a Vet, like me. Everyone there was happy, joking around. To me, happy workers mean you'll get quality work. I own a Lucid, which weighs in at 5,200lbs. Hitting a pothole with this car almost guarantees a blowout and a bent rim with the short sidewalls. I am sure I will be seeing them again. Oh yeah, when you go there, you'll have to look hard for them, they are set back, a bit and look like they're closed, go in the parking lot and go around to the back.

I've never had to get my own car serviced and repaired before so I wanted to know that I was in good hands. I went on facebook and asked the harbor point group what people recommended for auto repair and the great reviews of scottys caught my eye. I called up scottys and they let me know they were booked for the next 2 days (it was the first) but they said to drop it off and that they would do their best to look at it beforehand. sure enough I got a call the next day with a breakdown of what needed to be done. They gave me an estimate which was HALF WHAT THE JEEP DEALER QUOTED US, plus it didnt include some of the nonsensical stuff they suggested to fix that scottys said did not need to be done. ultimately they were able to get everything done before we headed out for vacation. when I went to go pick it up, they had admitted there was a communication error and that it wasnt ready just yet and that it would be another hour or so. I mentioned that I had just took an uber and had a lot of other things to try to work on and to see if they could try to give me an accurate time estimate. the guy there (isaac i think) just handed me a set of keys and said heres a loaner ill call you! that alone made this a 6 star experience! talk about admitting to a mistake and making up for it with phenomenal service. anywho, i know where ill be getting my oil changed moving forward! thank you guys!

Is 0 stars possible?…read more I went to this place by accident after confusing it with universal auto body (who does a solid job by the way), to get my brakes inspected. After telling me they were going to waive the diagnosis fee, they took three hours to diagnose the problem and falsely told me I needed to get multiple different things replaced, costing over $2800. After telling them I was going to try and get a 2nd opinion, they charged me $180+ just for the diagnosis. I am now getting it fixed at another place for less than $1000. These guys are thieves!

Let me take a moment to reintroduce these guys for anyone NOT in the know. Don't waste your time anywhere else. GO HERE. Period! As for my personal experience, I had a truly frustrating situation that I had unknowingly been dealing with, and after purchasing a brand new tire...low and behold it was in fact NOT my tire...but my wheel / rim. Let me be clear by stating that the tire purchase was not through this shop. However, After a long search, calls, emails yadda yadda yadda I finally landed on Proformance Industries right here in New Rochelle; which transitioned into an email, and later a phone call. The nature of this review is to really expand and un-wrap the true definition of not only professionalism, but a true auto-shop experience, you know, like your grandad or pop took you to?! Yea, you know that spot. Well, as for me this was exactly that. After literally 1 phone call I was able to take notice of the very easiness, family nature that these guys embody, and that Mario exemplified as he took his time to explain, answer all my questions, and not rush through what would be to some as just another phone call. Fast forward to today, where I was not only able to get an immediate / same day reservation to take a look at the problem, which was a cracked rim on my 328i x-drive, but a SAME DAY fix. The seemingly easy transition for these guys to assess the actual damage, come up with a solution, show me the issue, and come up with a more than reasonable cost was a true breath of fresh air to put it lightly. To put this very lightly, I was in and out of the shop in about an hour, WITH my wheel / rim fixed, and ZERO HEADACHE! Might I also add that they took the time to go through everything, and even gave me a better rate than initially anticipated. Overall, GO SEE MY BOY MARIO!
