Enter Colors on Parade: a self-described "body shop on wheels" that works mainly with auto dealers but is also accessible to the general public. The brand is a national franchise with individual territories owned and operated by local franchisees. I reached out to Jordan to discuss my troubles: scratches on the side of the car and a poor wheel suffering from curb rash. Jordan answered my call right away and we ended up scheduling an appointment the very next day. Pricing was very reasonable, particularly for the body work. It would have cost me at least 5x as much to have the parts replaced by the dealer or a traditional body shop, not to mention the added time. Jordan's service is mobile so he can bring his truck and trailer to your place. In my case, we met in a dealer's lot that he has access to, close to Equinox Fitness in Greenwich. Jordan briefed me on the steps needed and went to work on my car. He was all done about an hour and a half later, and the car looked great. I contacted the shop, and they offered to repair it. They kept my car for another 4 days, and when I went back after, I was told they had to redo all the wheels, and I trusted them that the issue was fixed. Then, I got back home and saw the same issue: thin paint in the same area. I am frustrated and tired of bringing the truck back and forth to this shop. It seems they don't have a staff member with quality control experience to check the wheels if they are done correctly the first time. Now, I am still waiting for them to redo the paint on the same wheel for the third time. If you don't know anything about quality workmanship, you might miss the flaws in their work. For all the trouble I have gone through with this shop, I regret not buying a new set of wheels instead. I don't like giving negative reviews; 3x repairing the same issues is not acceptable. The manager accepted that the failed paint job was their fault. In my opinion, based on my experience, their staff lacks training!

I went on facebook and asked the harbor point group what people recommended for auto repair and the great reviews of scottys caught my eye. I called up scottys and they let me know they were booked for the next 2 days (it was the first) but they said to drop it off and that they would do their best to look at it beforehand. sure enough I got a call the next day with a breakdown of what needed to be done. They gave me an estimate which was HALF WHAT THE JEEP DEALER QUOTED US, plus it didnt include some of the nonsensical stuff they suggested to fix that scottys said did not need to be done. ultimately they were able to get everything done before we headed out for vacation. when I went to go pick it up, they had admitted there was a communication error and that it wasnt ready just yet and that it would be another hour or so.
