I reached out again to the surrounding crossfits to see what pricing is like now--as things are constantly changing with the pandemic --to see if it is something we now can afford. As young new parents we have to be extra careful with our spending and weigh all our choices. I am not sure what type of business they run where they think it is acceptable to mess with people by saying the price is $300 dollars more than it is. It seems to me they either are extremely unprofessional or were trying to extort money out of a new customer. I did CrossFit for many years when l was training and still an elite athlete before an injury took the option of CrossFit away from me. I was very excited when I learned of your gym in the area because I have always wanted my husband to get into it. I understand it is important for him to come in, see the facilities, and learn more about CrossFit other than what I have told him. I also have no doubt as a former division one athlete and cross-trainer that he would safely pick up CrossFit and enjoy it just as much as I did. But if the cost was too much for us, there would be no point in him coming to see the facilities in the first place. It was disheartening receiving their inappropriate messages that have turned us off of your gym. Do not use this gym--as they will try to extort up to $600 extra a month from you!

Read the contract! Business owners cannot pay the rent with hugs & story telling. Yes!! businesses are exactly that! A business! I run a business as well. Not a charity. Though we do give back to the community in many forms. A few years back, I signed up my two children for Tiger Shulman, the contract was for a year and the total was almost $6000.00. And though the Sensei was nice & cool with us, he was still running a business and rightfully expected payment. If one of my clients said one thing, and did another and gave me the runaround, - and not paid their monthly invoice, Id have "NO BUSINESS" and livelihood. Get a grip. Read your contract. Do your homework before wasting everyone's valuable time and efforts.

Coaches like Nikki explain movements, and work one on one when needed with dynamic movements. No cell phones in hand or to be even seen, as was the daily routine in other local CrossFit gyms. They are always upgrading and improving the equipment we work with. The atmosphere is very family oriented. You feel like you are one of a tribe. Kylie's question of the day is always an awesome Icebreaker, especially for new folks that might be afraid to start interacting. Paying attention to the needs and goals of it's members is where the focus of this gym is at. Right down to keeping hair bands at the front desk, in case you break one during a workout.

First off, I have been member of OTF and usually attend to 2 other locations due to work. This place has been pending opening awhile as a result of C19 but it appears to have started off well. The volume of individuals at the 630am/7am sessions have increased and the place is clean, new and spacious. WIDE center aisle between the treads and rowers is appreciated and the equipment on the workout floor is pretty complete with heavier dumbbells than you may find in other locations. The circuit workout is an offshoot of HIIT so if you understand and can appreciate the value of a high intensity, interval type workout, you will enjoy the level of training and intensity, atmosphere, music and motivational attitudes. Coaches Kate and Sarah have been very good! Leadership and customer service has been solid from my experiences as they already know my name as I enter and greet me using it. I would say they have received solid training on customer engagement. As to cleanliness, they are following all C19 protocols and I have seen them disinfect and clean equipment and the facility in between classes, so I personally have no worries there. BTW, I am a 50 something YO male. Enjoying the experience and continue to drinking the Kool Aid! B

Love this place. Today is my 1 year anniversary at Invasion…read moreand the transformation is significant. I am not a body builder by any mean. I was unable to do a single pull-up when I started. Today I can do 10 (on a good day :) ), but I did absolutely got in so much better shape. The coaches are great, very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. the classes are not too big and are always different (which makes it so much more interesting than a gym). I was terrified to start, but once you get over it and go for it, you will be glad you did, I know I am... They will scale it for you depending on your abilities. I still don't work on the max recommended weight, but who cares? I got so much better and I work with the coaches to match the perfect weight and workouts for me. Think about it this way, you come for an hour, work out like crazy and you leave. one hour, no more... which I think is the best. They have classes all day, until late at night, which differentiates them from all the other cross fits in the area and was why I started at Invasion and not the other places. Only later I understood how great the coaches and the place is. Oh, and they teach you how to eat better, which contributes to your workout abilities and your weight. The only "bad" thing is, I have to spend all this money on new clothes because of all the weight I lost... Try it, it will change the way you think about working out...

Mostly…read morefilled with meat-heads who hog the weights and crazy anorexic women who equally hog the ellipticals. Decent amount of cardio equipment but if you come during the busy times (after work, after 10am on the weekend) you might have a tough time getting anything. My favorite part is the cardio mezzanine which overlooks the gym floor. Each cardio machine has a TV with cable and even a channel devoted entirely to watching the playroom where kids can be babysat while their parents work up a sweat- made especially for overprotective mothers. The classes are decent- I used to love Sonia's Pilates class (you could almost never get a spot to put your mat) but I stopped going when she started talking more and teaching less. Also Buddy's Cardio Funk is a great laugh, fun way to work out. I have taken 2 spin classes- one with Sonia who is a drill sergeant and Merri who's a lot of fun but none of them match up to the teacher I had in DC (she made spin actually FUN, which is nearly impossible). For those of you who like protein shakes and the like- there's a small bar where they make your pleasure after your workout. Water and other drinks as well as granola and powerbars are sold at the front. All in all a 2.5 but I'll give em a 3. They certainly work hard enough for it. also make a point to thank Darren (I believe that's his name) he's the custodian. He's a doll and makes everything so clean with a smile on his face. He deserves recognition.
