I feel like a new person since joining this little community at Fit in 50! The Coaches are SO supportive and encouraging throughout every single class. They're also experts in their craft! I love the variety here, so every class always feels entirely new - focusing on different muscle groups each day, whether it be in a boot camp class or kickboxing. They have provided me non stop assistance with the growth of both of my boys now 10 and 5 1/2. From the beginning in 2023, Sharon the past director made me a Helicopter mom not worry. Even to the point where in 2026, Sean (who is the current director), picked up from where Sharon left off. Sportime is now part of our family. The boys cant wait to go back. Now they don't have too because our boys will be taking tennis lesson this coming September. I thank all the coaches and counselor that provide a environment where my children are able to express themselves and learn something different than the norm of basketball and football.

Sportime Lynbrook is an okay place. Do not send your kid here if they play basketball. They must get another court because no way I have to pay well over $200 a month to barely be able to go basketball court if your son or daughter plays basketball I would not recommend sportime until they get another court. It's not fair that people youse the basketball court for everything else besides basketball.

There is ZERO sense of "gym etiquette", the members will just use 4 machines at a time. And not wipe any of them down! And the place is always so cold! If your heating system doesn't work, please PLEASE get a new one. Or invest in a sauna so we can warm up! I will say the staff is friendly, and they do their best. But even the new machines they ordered, are garbage. Mostly plastic. The older machines were better, All they needed to do was fix them.

Prior to going to this gym, I went to another LA Fitness location that was brand spanking new. 2 years in? The place was a disaster (overcrowded, machines already in disrepair, etc). Fitness 19 is a breath of fresh air because 2 years in, this place is still in mint condition! I have to also praise the staff here. Some gyms can have unfriendly employees, but everyone at Fitness 19 is so pleasant to interact with. Although I don't attend the classes, my wife does, and she finds the instructors to be exceptionally friendly. I have another friend who enjoys working with his personal trainer, and I always find the folks at the main counter to be very welcoming. The equipment here is still in good shape 2 years later. There have been a few machines that have aged, but those machines have already been replaced or updated. They have also added new equipment, including kettle bells, thanks to some customer feedback, and there's always somebody walking around to keep the place clean. Of course, the other thing that helps is to have a courteous gym community, and I find the members generally keep this place in good shape (returning equipment after use to the proper place, wiping down equipment with wipes after use, etc). My main reason for the 4-star review instead of 5 stars is mostly because of the lack of bathroom amenities. What would really make this place a 5-star location would be to add cloth towels (I realize it's an added expense in time and labor to wash and replace those, though) or some other bathroom amenities. The place has lockers and showers, but otherwise it's pretty bare bones (soap + water + dryers). Still, for the low monthly cost of membership (the lowest I've ever seen), the value here is incredible. I love this gym!

I rushed out of the gym, and left my pocket radio on a treadmill. Tina had previously seen me with the radio and recognized it and immediately put it in her office draw. sometimes when I look to find the 17 1/2 pound dumbbells it can take 10 minutes. I spoke to Tina and requested a second pair. Without hesitation she ordered a set for me. when they arrived she personally showed me the weights so I wouldn't have to hunt them down. personal attention, pleasant attitude, makes me want to continue my membership. 5 stars to Tina and NYSC. I love the steam room AND sauna, the open floor plan and the olympic weights. I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention their fabulous TRX tower and boxing speed bag. It's not a competitive setup, but you often find yourself being motivated to push through as you look at the splat points board. The coaches are also great at including modified versions of each workout for anyone who needs them and they happy to make adjustments to the routine for you if there's a health concern. Elite membership is currently offered at $119 and Unlimited is $179. They have specials depending on when you sign up. The OTF heart rate monitor was on sale when I signed up back in February. There are 2 options available in terms of style/wearing format. I'm working to attend more consistently but have already seen great results through the workouts and other lifestyle changes.

The abbreviated one is in direct response to the question. Here goes... First, they have a special ventilation filtration system in their HVAC, which they always had because, even before the pandemic, they felt it was important. They take temperature checks upon entry into the facility and everyone gets a squirt of hand sanitizer. There is enough time between classes to allow one to leave before the next gets in and they sanitize all the mats between every class. Any equipment used is always and has always been wiped down. The mats have safety distance dots so participants know what is actually 6 feet. Everyone is wearing masks, including the children, who I must say have been little troopers through all this craziness. They also have someone who comes in daily to clean the entire dojo. The equipment is immaculate and always has been. I really don't believe they can do more than they already are now. They are also a great group of people. If you stopped in before signing up, you would see it all for yourself. They would be happy to answer all of your questions and show you around for themselves so you can see firsthand. I suggest calling first only due to the schedule and current times to make a time good for both of you and them or stop by at the time one of the classes is set to begin so you can see the procedure for yourself. I personally feel comfortable with my child attending classes here. We didn't return to all activities, I researched and had to feel very comfortable with the establishment and precautions being taken to ensure safety and health of all participants. This pandemic has taken a toll on all of us. I feel comfortable here and UMA gives my daughter some positive outlet to all of what is going on. It is really wonderful to see her smile and engage with others which has been really lacking due to everything. I hope this helps...
