Okay, I'll say it - it's money! Will coding help bring in big bucks into their bank accounts?? I'm a parent. I'm pretty sure you're thinking it, too! After kids' free trial, they left excited for more! Is this true? Could my kids become geeks? Dammit, sign them up! Currently, my kids have been clients for a few months. Over the course of those months, I've also signed my eldest (11yo) in speech. My kid's going into mid school soon and speech couldn't have been introduced at a better time. Kids create their own app, they learn the technical jargon and speak on it. What these kids create is all very impressive! They also had special guest speakers from Uber and google come in for a Q&A. This is great for those parents, especially, who would like insight into the successful minds who use coding - ahem $$$$$ I like that it's not mundane. They seem to reinvent as they go and coding still remain. Just the other day they had a robotics team from a local school come in w their toys and accolades. These students are quite impressive! Thank you, N+N and Coder School Team!

Majority of her "good" reviews are given by students who were told BY MRS KIM to leave a review in return for extra credit. She mocks students in front of others, she discloses students learning disabilities as a topic of discussion in her class, and she will expose a student's personal family issues with the class. Her criticisms and lessons are not helpful to the children as some students leave her program doing worse than when they first started. She will jeopardize student's safety to save a few bucks. On multiple occasions, she will leave students unattended. The front door to her facility is always unlocked regardless of the time of day/night, creating an opportunity for any stranger to enter. If you are looking for a place to help your child who is struggling academically, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Their ability to improve is along the lines of watching a few Youtube videos. Parents seek private tutoring when their child needs help. However, Mrs. Kim will not help a child in need. In fact, she will only help the children who are already excelling. Instead of helping a student in need, Mrs. Kim sabotages a student's desire to learn.

His approach to tutoring his students is…read moreunique in that he does not drill into quantitative or grammar heavy rules, forcing you to learn difficult math and complex sentence structure, but rather relies on testing strategies that are become intuitive as you work with him. I was able to hit my target GMAT Score after several months of working with Brian because I could be strategic and pliable on complex questions, number pick and look for patterns when required, and even make educated guesses in a matter of seconds to narrow down especially hard problems into a 50/50 shot. In addition to his fantastic study approach, Brian is just a good guy. Wow no one enjoys studying, Brian would make every session entertaining, keeping me motivated and eager to continue the work. I always felt as though he was just invested in my personal process as I was myself. While I'm incredibly happy with the results from using Reason Test Prep as a tutor, I'll genuinely miss my weekly sessions. Could not recommend Reason Test Prep any more!!!!

If you're reading this, you're likely deciding on choosing a GMAT tutor. Fair warning: I am going…read moreto heap praise on Brian Prestia. So much so that you might doubt the authenticity of this review. If you have any doubts about Brian, the GMAT, my story--anything--I encourage you to message me. I am the kind of person that the GMAT chews up and spits out. I am not a great test taker. I'm not even a good test taker. At best, throughout academia, my success has been equal parts hard work and luck. Beyond that, to say that "I'm not good at math" is akin to saying "the US hasn't had the best response to Covid"--it doesn't even begin to detail how bad the situation actually is. When I took a cold GMAT in February of this year, I got a 630: Q39, V35. I took a ManhattanPrep class, which didn't really help much, but by April, I understood a) how the GMAT worked and b) if I wanted to score above 700, I'd have to invest considerable time and resources. In that light, I found Brian on Yelp and we had our first meeting in early April. Outright, if you went to school in the American school system, Brian is very likely the best tutor for you. There are courses out there, like TTP and Magoosh, that walk you through every nook and cranny of the GMAT quant section algebraically. I know because I tried both courses. Unless you went to school in India, China, or are naturally outstanding at algebra, it is wholly unnecessary to re-learn and master algebra for the GMAT. It's also, I can imagine, incredibly time consuming (at least moreso than the 3-4 months I spent studying). The GMAT is a reasoning test, not a math test, and it rewards people who understand how to play the game. Brian shows you how the game works, what the GMAT is looking for, and most importantly, provides structure and sense to an otherwise unstructured, frustrating process. Brian is immensely patient, and he's adept at sensing where weak spots are. His approach to verbal is smarter and easier-applied than every other approach I've seen in other courses. If I could have created a GMAT tutor in a lab, it would come out looking a lot like Brian. I studied like a crazy person, and each session with Brian helped crystalize my learning. In my last few practice tests leading up to the real thing, I was consistently scoring Q50. That's a sentence I never thought I would type. Q50 is reserved for robots and weird kids with social issues that smell like cheerios and go to math camp. Or so I thought. Come test day, I got a Q49, V40: 730. A 100 point increase. Again, I don't believe I'd be typing that sentence if I hadn't worked with Brian. What's crazy is that I'm taking it again, because I know I can score higher than that. The GMAT has been my life over the past few months. I've read so many threads and posts from GMAT takers that would benefit from Brian's approach. If you can put in the work, and you have the time and resources to do so, Brian is the best option out there.

And that the same boy smacked him on the head on a prior occasion. I immediately informed his teacher . She asked who. My son said he already left, was wearing green. I informed his teacher the same and she blew me off that everyone is wearing green. On October 4, 2023, I arrived early to the schools outdoor playground to pick my son up. I caught on video the boy standing around waiting for my son to come out. And then attack him repeatedly, which my son blocked. I immediately told what I saw, to which she replied that she had kept them apart. On October 5, 2023, I showed her the video and she said she would contact the boy's mother. On October 6, 2023, teacher told me the boy's mother, did not like that I videotaped the boy. No apology or anything. Even if it was a stranger, the parent would at least apologize, but she didn't. On October 23, 2023, is when I first discovered who the bully's mother is because previous to that I did not see his mother accompany him. I ran into the boy's mother, in the hallway and confronted her about her son bullying my son. She refused to talk to me at all, went straight to the teacher, who then went to get the head of the school, all sat in a room and discussed what happened, I doing all the talking of what happened. Bully's mother just said she didn't have time for this and then left. Head of the school said I could get a refund. I said I wanted a mediation with the bully's parents.. Head said she is not a mediator but she will try to arrange one. On October 27, 2023, head met with me and informed me that they refused to mediate. She further tried to convince me to stay saying many nice things about how I am the type of parent that this school wants. She gave me her private number. On various occasion in November 2023, bully's mother regularly passes me and and my husband by. She gives me dirty looks. One time when my husband picked up my son and she picked up hers, then she said to bully: "Don't go near those people." I am Chinese by the way. On December 20, 2023, head emailed me a letter terminating my son from the school for allegedly cursing at bully's mother--which I did not do. Bully's mom is a snob and the school is elitist.
